give it up IT'S THE SAME OLD STORY BUT YOU NEVER GET IT RIGHT His response would hardly give the ranger much comfort, his casual tone to dropping down the side of a building appalling her. Yet despite all that, she had still found her hand relaxing into Adrien's with little reservation. However what she didn't expect was the immediate tug that had come with it, the force bringing her mere inches away from Adrien's face. From there a soothing warmth would envelop her form as she felt an arm settle around her waist, which should have unsettled her but doing the opposite instead, the ginger easing into the man's hold. It was there that the woman had found an unexpected comfort, even as her light frame was scooped up and gentle words were spoken into her ear. Relax, he'd tell her. She'd scoff lightly at the assertion; telling her when she was already in his arms feeling rather redundant after she had already subconsciously done as such. It was amusing if one had thought about it. In the span of a single day Adrian been push and pulled around on a whim more frequently than she had been her entire life, and while the woman could have resisted each of these attempts there was no attempt to so. Normally, had it been anyone else, she would have argued or struggled against it; however despite all that was said between them, all that was done in regards to their connection to each other, no matter how much Adrian would have refuted the fact had it arose; the woman had trusted Adrien with her life. Perhaps not with anything else, and her gut was still telling her that this was a stupid idea, but she wouldn't hesitate to bring her arm upwards to wrap around his neck when being told to hold on. "I hope you know what you're doing," she'd voice as she clung closely to his form. There was an inhale, a sign of preparation that would tell the ranger that he was about to act where she'd in turn close her eyes so she would not flinch. Soon after the falling sensation flooded her senses; the sounds of the wind swishing past her, the heavy pressure than dragged her downwards, and even the adrenaline pumping through her veins at the danger of not being in control of the landing. Yet as fast as it started, it had concluded just as quickly. A thumping sound and a jostle indicated that they had landed, and the fact she was still alive meant that they had done so safely, the ginger opened her eyes to readjust herself as quickly as possible. The removal of the warmth that had cradled her however had caused the ginger to regain her senses, immediately turning to her date now kneeling next to her. From that sight, it was obvious to her that Adrien was hurt from performing that stunt of his and she had to bite her tongue to keep herself from instinctively scolding the man as she moved to attempt to help him back to his feet. Whether or not the man would admit it, her eyes fixated on his still features as he rose up to face her, Adrian figured that he must have been in pain if the fall had caused him to bend a knee. Thus once he had once again moved to capture her hand in his, the woman would react by squeezing his hand once he grasped it. "Easy my ass," she'd finally blurt out as she took a step forward to close some of the gap that was created between them after her release. Her eyes would hone in on Adrien's golden hues as if urging the truth to be told as she spoke out. "You're hurt, aren't you?"

She'd scoff at his comment and Adrien would only tighten his hold on her hand as if momentarily supporting himself before standing uptight as if nothing had happened. There was still a little thobbing from his old wounds but it felt as if he could walk it off. The ginger's demanding tone and gaze made it quite certain that she wasn't going to take any sort of excuse. "A little." He'd murmur offhandedly as he'd walk towards the the protruding platform edge with her. Upon reaching the edge, he'd kneel and finally sit down allowing his legs to dangle off the ledge. "Haaah, com'on." He'd let a sigh of relief escape his lips as he'd tap his side, beckoning her to join him.
For some reason the view with the risk seemed far more beautiful and worth the trip. And having Adrian Mastry by his side made this trip all the more worth it. Fingers remained intertwined with hers, he had no intentions of letting her go now. "We're alone. Finally~ " He'd scoff and smile, his eyes scanning the scenic view before them. Slightly tilting his head towards her, he'd playfully eye her. "Thanks for putting up with me today. It means a lot." You mean a lot. And what was that phrase she always used? Oh right. "And don't worry. I won't get used to it~"
He'd quickly interject with a chuckle. Unfortunately, he meant it.

give it up IT'S THE SAME OLD STORY BUT YOU NEVER GET IT RIGHT A little he said, an understatement she was sure. Sighing at the response, she wasn't able to get another word out before Adrien had wandered off again much to the ranger's dismay. It was apparent after watching him move that it was luckily nothing major warranting another trip to the hospital, which would have been a relief if she hadn't recalled the extent of his injuries mirroring her own. Yet he continued to act in such a whimsical fashion, carelessly running about and jumping from miscellaneous heights, for no reason aside from those whims. He was able to brush off her concerns while beckoning her to join him in sitting off the edge of the overhanging decor. He should have at least paid attention to his own health... but she'd let that slide with merely a grunt of dissatisfaction. For the sake of the night that he had planned; she would let his antics slide as she took those brisk steps after him, conceded to lowering herself in a similar sitting position by his side. While it seemed as if Adrien had taken a penchant for the scenic distance that the new vantage had offered, the ginger had taken to shifting her gaze towards the man instead. As the delicate whisper of the breeze would brush past them, tousling stray strands of her hair, she'd study Adrien's expression as he smiled with his playful remark. That smile was the scene that held the most value to committing in her memory, so much so that she didn't even roll her eyes at the point of being alone with him. The thanks however earned him a slightly puzzled tilt of the head. It was her that forced him to continue, so to be thanking her felt incorrect rather than having them switch roles in that regard. But it was his final phrase that would catch her off guard. He won't get used to it? Perhaps he was mocking her but she couldn't help the corners of her lips twitching downwards from the comment. That was fine though, wasn't it? This was only for today, a courtesy for him and something else for her... yet those words... "... Good, I guess." She'd finally voice with a hint of hesitancy. Inhaling a deep breath of the crisp evening air, she withheld the impulse to hit him as she'd finally cast her gaze back out into the glimmering lights in the darkness. It was meant to detract from her natural instincts to elbow him in the side as she pressed her interlocking fingers against his grip, and it had distracted her; her mind straying enough to placate her body into leaning over and relaxing against his side instead. "If that's the case then I guess we can stay here like this," she spoke absentmindedly, the weariness lingering in her bones despite the caffeine in her system. There was no risk of her falling asleep but she found some measure of contentment in his presence. There was a chance that Adrian wouldn't have minded if the rest of the night was simply this, sitting here alone with Adrien, as long as it made him smile. "And you're welcome, you idiot."
