major news alert!
witness reports from all over the region has been flooding in about strange happenings at the three lakes. what's more perplexing is that these occurrences seem to be happening spontaneously at the lakes. just moments ago, a burst of light erupted at the locations and residents in the vicinity have reported that the lake-side pokemon have turned aggressive and attack on sight.
However, there have been rumours and sightings of the legendary lake trio which has had trainers flocking in from all over the region.
[break][break] Lake Verity was often hailed as one of the best tourist destinations Sinnoh had to offer with people from various regions visiting the lake what was supposedly home to the legendary pokemon - Mespirit. But tonight, the lakeside is deserted - not a soul in sight as a dense cold fog shrouded the vicinity. The cries and hisses of Pokemon can be heard in the thick tall grass and silhouettes flicker pass you as you make your way to the pier. [break][break] A plethora of boats have been docked, although all have been abandoned as guides refuse to take passengers to the island at the center due to the recent phenomenons at Verity. Whether you choose to ride your pokemon or take the boat, the destination remains the same. Head towards the island at the center, but be cautious. [break][break]The waters aren't as still as they seem... [break][break]
The once peaceful forest leading towards Lake Verity was engulfed in a veil of preternatural-white mist. The forest itself was sinisterly silent and the reason was quite obvious. The world of Sinnoh was recently informed that the three legendary lake-side pixies have turned aggressive and attack others roaming throughout their territories without warning. The pale gray and ominous clouds were hanging quite low towards the forest's cold floor, as if a downpour would occur within the next hour or so. The milky-white substances floated effortlessly through the enormous trees as if it was draining the life out of the forest and leaving it to just whither away. Sasha carefully pulled the zipper up on her orange ranger jacket, making sure to protect her body from the bitter coldness of the forest. Her stunning amber eyes scanning over her surrounding in a careful manner as she continued down the path leading towards Lake Verity. She was currently wearing her full ranger uniform with her long, golden hair pulled back into a neat ponytail. Her uniform was snugged rather tight against her womanly curves, but would grant her access to move around more freely through the terrain without having any excess baggage slowing her down. She had attached three Poke Ball along the belt wrapped around her fine waistline. The Poke Balls held her Roserade, Milotic and Gardevoir. The golden-haired Elite felt a little eager to face any challenges awaiting her at the lake.
The sound of fallen branches creaking underneath her sturdy boots sounded off through the forest as the golden-haired beauty continued to move a little closer towards her destination. She could feel a cold shiver rushing down her spine as the howling wind danced around her entire body. She could sworn have that she had felt a few goosebumps crawling against her skin for a minute or two. She shook out the incoming rush of anxiety and tried her best to ignore the intimidating environment around her. She had no time or room to show any fear.
After a few more minutes of wandering through the forest, Sasha had finally arrived in front of the lake. As expected, she was the first member to arrive on the team. She had already been informed that at least two other rangers would be accompanying her on this mission. However, she had no idea of who those two rangers would be. She just hoped that the other two wouldn't get lost in the forest of have a change of heart after wandering through the eerie forest. Her gleaming amber eyes glared towards the island on the other side of the lake. She figured that she would probably have to utilize her Milotic to make it across the water unless she decides to take one of the vacant boats instead. Either way, she would wait around for her other teammates a little while longer before making her final decision.
The forest did not seem, as it once was as North was passing through. Forests in the sinnoh region were famed with their amazingly tall trees and multi-deverse groups of pokemon that reside in them. But the forest she was in now was almost devoid of all pokemon, and for a place that is supposed to be famed for it, something was up.
It did not help that North was not prepared for such environments, mainly the mist and chilly weather. Her short brown hair was blowing slightly in the wind but it did not bother her as much as the chilly weather. Her clothing consisted of her typical clothing, with the bright yellow coloured tank top, a black jacket that she only used when things got chilly, and her shorts. Strangley enough it was chilly but she did not change into her full lengths trousers thanks to being afraid of someone being near by, and thanks to this she couldnt even see a matter of metres ahead of herself. Her trainers were canvas type shoes like vans, which were black on black in colour.
Trudging through the tall grass North made her way to the waters edge by following the sound of water which could be faintly heard over the wild pokemon seemly upset at some sort of disturbance. And ones that North could see were all looking out towards the centre of the lake.
Looking at the lake herself, the water seemed strangely calm as you look towards the centre but the waters edge was splashing up at the side of the docks allowing you to hear it for quite the while. Quite a few boats were docked but only one figure seemed to be about in the mist that she could not quite make out.
"Excuse me" North stated as she approached the figure slowly so that she could sort of show she was not dangerous.

Something was obviously happening at the lakes. The rangers were assigned to their teams and sent to the scene in order to assess the situation and respond accordingly. Sinnoh seemed to have a lot going on as of late. And even though it was a bother, Silas found himself zipping up his jacket and headed out of the car and towards the pier.
It took a little while to get there, as the entire place practically engulfed in a dense fog that made it nearly impossible to navigate the terrain. But Silas heard a voice nearby say "Excuse me." just before finding two people. One of which he was familiar with, another ranger elite by the name of Sasha. Convenient. He cast them both a pleasant look before gazing off towards the boats. Some were big and looked slow, others much more sleek but no room for his pokemon. Although that was probably good, since Silas had brought his Lairon along on accident. He meant to bring his Hydreigon to fly across the water, but got their poke balls mixed up. It made him wonder what the others had to offer; in terms of pokemon, or even a plan.
“Matt Flynn reporting for duty or whatever.” Matt entered the unfolding scene, :Ready to hunt red gyrados.” he saluted. Something was obviously happening at the lake. Though Matt didn’t pay much attention to the details, as he was far too engrossed in finding the legendary red gyrados when they were first informed about the mission on the lake. Matt stretched his arms and legs, he wanted to be limber to see the legendary red beast.
It took him little to get there, the fog was comfy honestly and Matt was prepared for the trip. “Hi guys,” he waved as he passed by heading to the boats. “Let’s get going already!” he untied one of the boats from the water’s edge. He had two fire types, Red Gyrados would have an obvious advantage, but his will to win would trump the monster’s advantage! “Okay guys, I’m going to go find the red gyrados, you all can chill here or go to the island thing, but me, I’m going to chase a legend.” he turned to the dense fog, “She has to be out here.”
[break][break] whether or not the rest of the group would follow matt on his boat the eeriness of the lake never seemed to fade. it was as if someone, or something was watching them, stalking them. as the boat progresses further into the lake the temperature would slowly start to drop, soon stabilizing at a cool fifty degrees fahrenheit. you look around to see absolutely nothing, no movement, no indication of why the temperature shifted. [break][break] suddenly a cry would emerge from the cave on the island in the middle of the lake. the fog would slowly disperse, fading away but still a small amount remained. the boat that matt is on was now visible even from the docks. then from underneath the water a swarm of huntails would suddenly appear from the dark depths, all of them hitting the side of the boat. loud thuds can be heard and soon enough there was a sizable hole that made the ship sink into the lake. the swarm of four huntails circled around the boat, just waiting, toying with their food.[break][break] it becomes clear now that matt and whoever else got on the boat with him were in danger. the water's freezing, there are huntails stalking. what will you do? [break][break]
Strangely enough Matt's boat had prematurely left the shore, nothing he couldn't fix, as he took the helm of the small sailboat and turned things right on back around or atleast he tried, "Hmm, I guess I shouldn't have untied it so early." he chuckled, "Houndoom, Blaziken boil the water 4 me." he released both of his Pokemon. Two fire types vs some rowdy hungtail, what tcould go wrong? It's not like Matt had prepared to go out onto the water entirely, oh no, he just drifted out to sea.
"Well guys, how do we fight water Pokemon in their element?" he tapped his chin, "We could boil the water in the area? Meh, I guess I'll just turn things around, maybe. Oh nope, there's a hole in my boat." Matt proceeded to plug the hole with his jacket and luckily enough for him so masking tape that just so happened to be in the boat's inventory. What a lucky break. The ship was still sinking buuut he had time to turn it around despite being pummeled. Sadly for him, however, he was still up creek without a paddle he needed help.

lake guardian raid
Sasha slowly turned her body away from the placid lake and glanced back towards the location of where she had heard a feminine voice coming from behind her. A soft smile curved against her lips as she noticed a familiar face. "North?" She asked, a warm smile still expressed agains there soft lips. She remembered meeting the younger trainer once and having a battle with her. Of course, the two of them were only rookies at the time. She was quite sure that the both of them have probably own a lot stronger since the last time the two of them had encountered each other. "I assume that you're help to research the legendary lake Pokemon, too?" She asked the younger female. It wasn't long before Sasha had noticed another familiar face. It was Silas one of the new Elites. She had meet him when it was a new cadet and she had been able to watch him blossom into a loyal and courageous Elite. "Hello Silas, it's nice to see you again, too." She smiled at her follow Elite. A couple of minutes passed and the final member of their team had arrived on the scene. "Oh, hello there." She greeted the new cadet, who didn't waste anytime walking passed the trio and making his way over towards one of the boats. Well, this one seemed a bit eager to get things started now. "Red Gyarados? You do know that this mission has nothing to do with a Red Gyarados, right? We're here to research the one of legendary lake guardians." She informed Matt, who still didn't seem to be too interested in their true mission from Headquarters. Great! She always found herself getting paired with at least one hotheaded cadet during a mission.
Sasha glanced over at her other teammates before turning her attention back towards Matt. Her warm golden eyes carefully watching him approach the boats. There was something that just did not sit well with her and she didn't know what it is the cause for it. She felt another small shiver rush down her spine after hearing a mysterious cry. Perhaps, it was the legendary lake guardian. Matt had taken off in one of the boats and within seconds the cadet had found himself in a heap of trouble. He was surrounded by a group of Wild Huntail and his boat was starting to sink due to the damage inflicted on it by the Huntail. The first one to jump into danger is always the one that ends up needing help in the long run. Sasha rushes towards the end of the water and withdrew a Poke Ball from around her waist. She would press the small button in the center of the red and white sphere to summon her beautiful and graceful Milotic. She glanced back at Silas, giving him small nod. "Silas, make sure that North and yourself make it across the water safely." She ordered before jumping onto Laken's back. The Milotic slithered swiftly, yet gracefully across the cool lake. Matt had released his two fire-types and ordered them to boil the water around them. It was definitely a smart move. However, the water would only remain hot for so long before cooled down provided the Huntail with enough time to strike again.
"Hydro Pump!" Sasha ordered out loud. She knew that the water-type move wouldn't inflict a lot of damage onto the Huntail, but the high pressured blast of water should be enough to propel the Huntail away from the boat and give them enough time to rescue Matt. Laken let out a soft battle cry before opening her mouth and shooting fourth a few powerful blasts of water to hit each Huntail. "Quick, call your Pokemon back and hop on!" She instructed Matt as she extended her hand out to him. Meanwhile, Laken would keep her eyes fixed on the Huntail making sure that the Wild Pokemon wouldn't approach them again. If so, she would use her Hydro Pump and elongated tail to fend them off a little longer until Matt was safe on her back.
Sasha is surfing on her Milotic's back. Sasha's Milotic used Hydro Pump to fend off the Huntail. Sasha extended her hand out to rescue Matt.
It seemed as if everyone had gathered for try gather research about said legendary pokemon, although North just happened to be passing by and like always her curiosity got the better of her.
One of the few that had gather had jumped into a boat and made their way into the lake without even a proper form of a plan. This was something that North would do, but this guy jumped the gun way to early even for North.
Unfortunately though he ran into some trouble not too far from the shore. A group of huntail manage to damage his vessal and was awaiting his demise like a group of sharks. She would expect this behavour from sharpedo's but not Huntail.
Sasha had just jumped into the water riding on her milotics back offering support for this guy stranded in the lake, with his fire type pokemon trying to fend off the pokemon in the water.
North herself did not have any way of getting towards the island, so she went and took another boat, one that was more durable than the one sinking. This boat was basically a tourist boat, the type you would see at Niagara falls.
She turned to the other guy still there on the shore. "You coming or not?"
Regardless of whether he replied or not she started up the boat and set sail.
[break][break] any of matt's attempts to fix the hole in the boat would fail since it is a very large hole. water floods the boat and it soon sinks into the murky depths. luckily for him another ranger's there to help him out.the swarm of huntails disperse when the hydro pump came. they fade into the water, swimming underneath for unknown reasons. and for a few moments everything returns to as it once was; peaceful and quiet. [break][break] then back at the docks a gyarados would suddenly appear out of the water right in front of the boat north was in. it's clear that it has enough power to destroy the boat, but yet it doesn't. instead it just stays still there, curious eyes watching north for what she might do.[break][break] the huntail are nowhere to be seen. what will you do? Well, at least the Huntail went away. But their luck ran dry when a Gyarados popped up right by the docks. It didn't seem to care to attack North and her boat just yet, however. Instead it just stared at her with curiosity, allotting Silas the time needed to release one of his pokemon; a Vibrava.
"Distract that Gyarados by using Rock Slide." From where Silas was, the Gyarados couldn't yet reach him. That was until it took to the skies. But until then, his Vibrava would collect two large rocks and hurl them in the Gyarados' direction, though not in a way that North's boat would be jeopardized.
"Sasha, we need to get rid of this guy, and quickly!" Either that, or North would probably be suffering in the moments to come. Gyarados was a truly daunting pokemon to have to face like this, especially without any electric types to make quick work of the beast.
Things did really take a turn for the worst, or they could really quickly. A wild gyarados appeared from the depths of the lake. Whilst it was not doing anything right now, the smallest thing might just trigger it. Luckily though it was just watching North with curiousity watching her every move. She was just happy that the pokemon was not flipping the ship over.
Unfortunately though, that could become a possibility as he heard Silas who still hadn't gotten on the boat command one of hos pokemon to attack the gyarados and if that attack succeeded in hitting it, that would be the end.
"Noooo!! Dont!!!"
But it was too late as the pokemon let go of two rocks heading straight towards the wild pokemon. North had no choice but to interrupt the attack before it was too late. Sending out her Gabite, Tempest she instructed it to take down those boulder.
"Use dragon rage on those rocks"
Tempest launched its purple dragonic energy at the rocks destroying one and deflecting the other away from the gyarados. Thankfully the immediate danger had been adverted but that did not mean the gyarados could not of been triggered it by it.
Putting out her hand to touch the pokemon as to show she meant no harm towards it. She secretly hoped that it would not attack her for doing so. Only the brave or a fool would do that, lets just hope North was no fool.

lake guardian raid
A sigh of relief left Sasha's soft lips as she noticed the Huntail had retreated back into the water. The golden-haired beauty just hoped that the Wild Pokemon wouldn't return again and retaliate. Everything appeared to have been going rather well at this point. At least, until the Wild Gyarados appeared in front of North's boat. Sasha's warm amber eyes quickly widen as she watched the Gyarados approach the boat. Strangely enough, the Pokemon had not attack North and her boat. Perhaps, it was simply waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Meanwhile, Silas didn't even allow the Gyarados a chance to attack. Her partner had already ordered his Pokemon to large water serpent. Silas would then call out to her, letting her now that the group should defeat the Gyarados before it started rampaging and destroying everything in sight. She argued with him, but apparently another member of the group didn't agree with his action. North had called out her own Pokemon in order to interfere with incoming attack. "What in the hell is this girl thinking?" Sasha thought to herself as she continued to observe North's interaction with the Gyarados. The younger trainer was now caressing the Wild Pokemon, attempting to let it know that she was not there to cause any harm. Would the Gyarados trust her or is it a little too late at this point?
"Laken, keep your eye on that Gyarados, if it attacks North or the boat I want you to use Ice Beam on it, and be careful not to hit North or the boat. Again, only attack if the Gyarados threats North or the boat." She ordered in a calm voice. Laken nodded her head as her eyes locked onto the Gyarados. Meanwhile, Sasha would scan over their current surrounding and make sure that she didn't see the Huntail approaching them again in hopes of retaliating against them.
Sasha ordered her Milotic to use Ice Beam ONLY if the Gyarados attacks North or the boat.

There wasn't much use in attacking the Gyarados any further. The girl, North, didn't want to let Silas' pokemon provoke the thing; or so it had seemed to him. His Vibrava flew back some, staying in the air about half a ways between the Gyarados and it's trainer. "Stand down." The pokemon seemed to nod and fell back even closer to Silas, still eyeing the water pokemon for any signs of hostility. "We'll just wait and see."
'She better know what she's doing...' Is what he thought to himself. If the civilian ended up dying on his watch, it would make both Silas and Sasha look bad. Like they couldn't do their job. Except their job wasn't to dictate what another free-minded individual did. Only to take responsibility for anything that happened to that individual when under their watch. It was a really crummy situation, but hey, that's what they signed up for. If things did get worse, Silas had a bit of a plan. Sasha's Milotic was almost as big as the Gyarados. It could probably restrain the thing by coiling around it...
Matt sat on the back of the miolotic, holding on for dear life as he constantly slid on the long Pokemon's body. "She's a cutie." he rubbed the Milotic's scales, soon the Gyrados breeched the “Avast! A gyrados! But not red..." he frowned and returned his two Pokemon from the sinking ship.
He clapped his hands as North for whatever reason played mother nature and tried to pet the Pokemon, honestly Matt wanted to throw a Pokeball at it, which he would unless North caught it first. "Are you trying to make friends with that thing?" he scratched his head, "What a strange guy..." he turned away looking up at Sasha.
