major news alert!
witness reports from all over the region has been flooding in about strange happenings at the three lakes. what's more perplexing is that these occurrences seem to be happening spontaneously at the lakes. just moments ago, a burst of light erupted at the locations and residents in the vicinity have reported that the lake-side pokemon have turned aggressive and attack on sight.
However, there have been rumours and sightings of the legendary lake trio which has had trainers flocking in from all over the region.
at the rate the camerupt of the girl was travelling it wasn't a surprise he arrived first. veilstone city. galactic hq. it was a shitty place. though his opinion might have been heavily influenced by the events that transpired. disclosing secret plans when the enemy was right in front of you?
stupid.
but it worked out in his favor. and so there he was, in veilstone, tracking the silverette he once encountered. adrien, was it? finding out information about him wasn't hard; perks of being a galactic spy. he was for now, anyway. he wasn't so sure what the future holds. probably not good. it was never good.
the silverette frequented a restaurant often, and so the raven haired spy waited there, day after day, waiting, studying, planning. but as luck would have it, the silverette finally showed up.
it was late in the evening, the spy waiting outside the exit of the restaurant, which led to an empty alley. this was almost too easy, all he had to do was wait.
the arcanine was out of its pokeball. he knew he wouldn't be strong enough to overpower the man physically, so he needed the help of a pokemon. he did not want the excadrill involved with anything this violent, after all, it was the purest pokemon on his team.
and finally, the silverette exited the restaurant. "take down." a whisper came from the man, hiding around a sharp corner with the arcanine at the ready. footsteps can be heard approaching.

Troubled was one way to describe this dinner with a close friend. New facts and ideologies had arisen and certain countermeasures had to be taken. After a light dinner, the silverette would exit the establishment and slowly made his way to a nearby alley. Lost in thought, the silverette would run in his fingers over his thobbing wound, now bound it stiches under his shirt.
"Haaa...." A sigh as he'd make his way to his car, or at least that's what he had in mind. Hm..? His head snapped to the right, eyes widening in alarm as a massive arcanine was charging at him.
Fuck. Not again.
The man brace himself as he brought his hands infront of him, the only measly defense against the massive dog. THWACK! The takedown would hit its mark, sending the man straight for the lamppost behind him. Clang! The iron post would resonate as the back of his head slammed against it.
Pain coursed through his body; ribs further dislocated inward and his gash reopening. The hit to the head however would have him lose total consciousness. Adrien arkwright would slump into a lifeless pile, eyes locking onto a certain azure-haired male before being consumed by darkness.
he might have overestimated how much force he needed to use by just a little bit. after impact was made the silverette flew towards a lamppost, his head clashing with the metal to echo an audible clang. he cringed at the sound, but he got what he wanted.
"a bit too hard maybe?" he laughed at the arcanine, rubbing its thick fur as he walked over to the unconscious body. a foot nudged against the silverette. definitely unconscious. not dead, fortunately. he picked up an arm and carried him up before lifting him onto the arcanine. he had not noticed the bleeding yet.
scene: forest, trees towering the night sky and underneath were two galactic spies and an arcanine. the unconscious silverette leaning against the trunk of a tree, restrained by a piece of rope that wrapped him to the tree. the pokeballs on his belt, gone. but he did not check the silverette's coat.
splash. water from a bottle fell gracefully onto the silverette's hair, running down his face. "wake up."
arcanine stood next to liam, towering over the injured man. its fangs were lit with fire, providing them much needed vision on this dark evening.
splash. round two, just to make sure he was awake. once he was sure the man had awoken, his mood shifted, now intense.
"adrien. you have a message for one lena ruddy. that message now belongs to me, and it'd be best for you to comply since you're not looking too well..."
eyes ventured down to the man's chest, though not gushing out blood, was still bleeding ever so slowly. an old wound, most likely. a finger pointed to the arcanine next to him, fangs still lit.
"don't try anything either, i assure you he's faster. so, what's the message?"

With intense pain from the thobbing headache to the open wound coursing through his body, Adrien could only hope he was dead. "wake up..." Tch, he was still alive. Eyes slowly fluttered open as cold water tickled down his face. Splash! He spat out water as he shook his head, reflexively attempting to bring a hand up to his face.
Couldn't. "Why am I... What..?" He'd murmur in slight panic. Now more awake, confused eyes would take a look around and scan the surrounding before refocusing on the younger male before him. The ropes were chafting against his injuries which just made the pain worse. The silverette's face expressed adequate exhaustion as he heard the man out and then glanced at the arcanine.
This dipshit.
Even when tied against a goddamn tree, there was pride fuming inside the man. Besides after what he heard, there was no way he'd spill the beans. Even if it meant being fucked up by that arcanine. "Message for Lena Ruddy... Belongs to you..." He'd repeat as if confused, eyes moving upward as if recalling it.
"Oh! Oh... I didn't..." He'd pause as he inhaled, to breathe becoming harder with every passing minute. "I didn't know you felt that way, Liam...I know you hate my guts but aren't you taking it a bit too far for a woman?" Spoken with a mock concerned tone. A pause.
"You're talking about the proposal, aren't you?" His lips pulled taut as he smiled, disguising the pain within.
even if it was an act, his cold facade would not fade. he remained strong, his actions going against everything he stood for, everything he wanted to change in the world. the boy didn't even realise, but he was driven to it. his actions and decisions, much like lena's, was constantly being manipulated by him.
he felt disgusted, his stomach tossing and turning as he looked down at the man. was this all worth it? the violence? the suffering? the boy was disgusted with himself and almost gave it all up.
until the silverette opened his mouth.
acting stupid was one thing, but the man was straight up taunting him. his responses to his questions angered him, the mock in his tone was clear, it cut through him with every spoken word.
proposal.
"what?" he asked, basically daring him to say it again. the internal conflict he had before about violence and what he was doing was suddenly pushed aside, delayed for another cause.
"what proposal?" he asked again, voice louder and more intense. a hand jolted forward, fingers gripping the man's collar, pulling him upwards, the rope causing friction.

Liam's response was pretty much predicted as he was caught by the collar and pulled up, the ropes cutting into him now. Adrien rasped in pain before collecting himself, eyes looking down at the younger male now. "Don't... tell me... she didn't... tell you..." The man would sigh and force himself to keep up the act.
"I proposed... marriage to... your Lena.. on the night of the festival." Spoken with a scoff. It wasn't the complete truth - - what transpired that day was done so under the influence of alcohol but nonetheless proved itself to be useful today.
"We even kissed.... " He'd continue with a grin, keeping an eye out for his reaction. "Haa... Let's just say..." A forced smirk as the bleeding increased. "She answered rather... Feverishly," A chuckle. "Did you... really think she was... faithful to you? Think, Liam. Think", the smile lessened as he turned serious. What love did to a man. Tch.
Despite keeping up the act, Adrien would continue to observe his surroundings. Surely there was some way to escape.
calm. breathing slowed, controlled, in, out, repeat. love had nothing to do with it, or at least he thought it didn't. this feeling, running through his blood, boiling him from the inside; was it jealousy? possibly. but it was more than that.
rage.
no more would he watch idly by helpless, powerless, like he once had to as a kid, and again in the cabin. for once he was in control, he had the power, and it felt good.
the scoff, the smirk, the kiss. his grip loosened, taking a step backwards. cold eyes stared at the silverette; the wound, his injuries, all of it didn't matter anymore.
"time's up."
whistle. the arcanine lunged forward, fangs glowing hot red aimed straight for the shoulder. the arcanine, though loyal, toned down its power. the bite wasn't going to take an arm off, but it would hurt. a lot.

The man would surprisingly loosen the grip around his collar and let go. Adrien for one was expecting a punch or two. Or perhaps a few snide words. ... And then the arcanine sprang. An abrupt, almost unconscious yell pierced through the silence. The facade dropped when the dog sunk its fangs into his shoulder, eyes widening as he tried to bare the pain.
Don't pass out. Don't pass out.
The silverette would breathe heavily as the arcanine release its grip on his shoulder. He didn't even bother looking over at his shoulder, half convinced that he would probably panic at the sight of it. He gulped, although...
"It's... Personal," He'd put on the most severe tone he could muster, the smile now completely having vanished. Eyes would stare down at the patch of grass before him.
the bite was fierce, strong, sudden. the fangs digging into the man, the fire soon cauterizing the wound a split second after. three seconds. the man would not bleed, not from his shoulder. the scream was piercing, liam cringing at the intensity of it. the arcanine backed off at an instant, returning to its trainer's side.
the silverette did not give in to the pain, and for that he deserved props. a sigh followed by another whistle.
another lunge forward from the arcanine, this time at the man's right thigh, flames searing the man's skin as fangs dug deep. three seconds. back came the arcanine.
"sorry."
hands reached into his pocket to pull out the man's pokeball, deeming it safe to return them. he dropped them at the man's lap, and with that he turned his back and walked away, hand reaching to grab a phone before dialling.
"h-hello there's a man injured near route 215... please hurry, he's been attacked by a pokemon."
the fake voice going away as soon as the phone hung up. til next time.
