With a throbbing headache courtesy of a sleep deprived night, Adrien would head towards the lounge, a cup of tea held in one hand and a mission file in the other. At times, it seemed that the universe was against him, and just by the dour expression he wore as he trotted about Headquarters, it became quite obvious that today was one such day.
This was one of the reasons he wanted to fix the goddamn universe.
Donning just a formal white shirt, with its sleeves rolled up and his signature ascot missing, today despite his qualms, he had a mission to attend to in a few hours. And unlike most missions he was assigned a partner this time, a certain Liam Summers. From the rumours the silverette had heard, whether true or not, his impression of the azure-haired male had already hit rock bottom.
'This isn't going to be fun.'
Entering the lounge, the silverette would approach one of it's occupants whom he assumed to be the infamous Mr. Summers.
"Liam Summers, I'm assuming?" He'd ask with a bored tone, half his focus on sipping his tea. No greeting nor introduction whatsoever which was unusual for the well-spoken male. Unfortunately, etiquette was lost to him on shitty days such as today.
And Liam just happened to be stuck with the silverette on one such day.
[ LIAM SUMMERS - lemme know if you want more to work with ]
[attr="class","smdbody"]his mind was all over the place. there were just so many things to focus on; missions, training, and now his promotion. while the male was happy that he had been finally promoted he couldn't help but feel a bit overwhelmed at the new responsibilities, one of which was managing grunts.
that wasn't the main part of being a spy. as the name suggests the main part was gathering intelligence, and he was already quite good at that. he focused on gathering information on the legendary duo that galactic needed so much, but he also needed it for his own plans. to recreate the universe he needed both of the legendaries.
but that was a worry for another day; for now, there was a mission to do. this would be his first mission as a spy, and how lucky for him that he was assigned a partner. the formal term was partner but liam knew it meant underling; or quite literally, grunt.
he heard the door of the lounge open but he did not turn. footsteps soon followed and he waited for whoever it was to walk over to him. he glanced up at the silver-haired man, noticing his bored expression.
"adrien," he spoke. he could not remember the man's last name so he chose to avoid it completely. he hadn't realize yet that the silverette did not know of his promotion.
"take a seat. brief me the mission," he said, crossing his arms as he leaned back against his chair.

"take a seat. brief me the mission,"
Adrien would immediately cock an eyebrow, that tone and demeanor was deemed inappropriate to an equal. 'Wow, that superiority complex...' The silverette wouldn't hide the eye roll he performed as he stepped back and took a seat. Placing the cup of tea in the table in front of him, the man would then proceed to shuffling through the mission file.
"Right." Sliding a piece of paper across the coffee table for the male to read, Adrien reclined back and sighed. "An old couple in Snowpoint apparently have some information about the time and space duo. We need to interrogate them. " A pause. "Nicely, if possible" He'd add, eyes averted from the younger male.
The last bit he interjected was his own little suggestion as coming from Celestic Town Adrien, while he wouldn't admit it, had a soft spot for the elderly. Especially if they were so very knowledgeable.
But right, back to bussiness.
"We leave in a few hours. Try not to get in the way, hotshot. please don't' fuck up. " He'd add in rather indifferently as a hand soothed his forehead, the last bit drowning into a mumble.
[attr="class","smdbody"]honestly he would have read the mission himself but he got caught up doing other things. but he should have read it, hearing that the mission is about the legendary duo that he so needs. he wondered why he hadn't heard of this mission before now.
he watched the man as he took a seat and started briefing the mission, almost observing him in a way. he was curious. he reached across the table to grab the piece of paper, opening it and reading it as he listened. he wondered why the man added the last bit, but dismissed it as he sat up in his chair.
everything sounded good until the very last thing the silverette said. it almost brought a grin to his face, be he stopped himself. he stared at the man as he spoke.
"what was that?" he asked, basically baiting the man to repeat himself. the silverette had most likely heard the rumors of the failed missions liam has had in the past, particularly one that got him beat up bad. but that was a while ago.
"i'm sure you've heard certain rumors before," he spoke, "they're probably true. if you've heard of the one that involves a beating then that one's definitely true. and i can tell you that it taught me a good lesson."
he slid the piece of paper back over to the man, his eyes still locked with the man's. "those lessons might teach you a thing or two, particularly about respecting your superiors," he finished. he kept it vague as possible, but the threat was implied.

"what was that?" "
"Oh, you're deaf as well, huh? A shame," Adrien snapped back, his response given nary a second of forethought. He wasn't going to repeat himself, only because he was stubborn and refused to take orders from this lowlife.
"Yes, yes. Thank you for filling me in on that. Now I know that you're even shittier," By now, the silverette had crossed his arms over his torso and stared back at the azure-haired male adamantly, his tone remaining as nonchalant as ever. And superiors?
"My superior in what? How to get a beat down?" He'd smirk, still oblivious to the recent promotion. "You can keep those lessons to yourself. And sorry, but I don't respect trash."
[attr="class","smdbody"]for someone who greatly opposes violence he sure uses it often. sometimes he just couldn't help himself, couldn't control his anger. for this silverette it was more annoyance than anger, and the fact that he kept retaliating did not help calm him down.
he soon got off his seat and walked to the side of the table, his fingers tracing the edges of the table as he walked. "there's a rule in galactic that restricts people like you from fighting your superiors," he spoke. oh how he wished he had a badge or something with him now that would prove his rank. but the silverette would just have to take his word for it.
"guess who you're talking to," he said. he slowly rolled up his sleeves, which was a universal sign that a fight was about to happen. he grinned at the silverette. "a spy."
and with that said he lunged forward, one hand going for the silverette in an attempt to get him to fall out of his chair backwards.

"Mhm," Adrien nodded his head mockingly as if paying close attention to what his apparent 'superior' was lecturing him about. His eyes shifted sidewards as the man rolled up his sleeves, his smile lessening as he prepared himself for what was to come. Honestly, the way Liam was pushing the fact that he was Adrien's superior made him think for a moment. Was he really--
"a spy, "
Before the silverette can even answer, the younger male sprang at him and pushed him backward and out of his chair. "Oho really?!" His sarcastic voice rose by a few decibels as a hand reached up for Liam's collar, his free hand coming from the right to strike the man square in the jaw.
"You definitely don't act like one."
If he was going down, he was taking this hotshot along with him.
[attr="class","smdbody"]all of those years he spent taking beatings after beatings helped him learn how to be strong and how to persist. galactic taught him not only how to fight but also how to survive.
but he was surprised that the silverette was able to react that fast. he wasn't expecting the collar grab nor the punch but once the collar grab happened he shifted his head to the side a bit, narrowly missing the silverette's fist. they both fell to the ground and liam was quick to spring into action.
"don't fight back," he said; no, he ordered. placing one hand on the ground to help elevate him he used his other to throw a punch straight at the silverette's nose, right down the middle.
he knew that overpowering the silverette would take too much time and effort, so he hoped to juts daze him enough and pull rank so that the fight would stop.

Spending his childhood being a spoilt and smug lore nerd made the silverette no stranger to being picked on, but at the same time mandated that he be able to fend for himself and react accordingly. While Adrien wasn't the best fighter out there, the silverette does know how to retaliate, strike and endure.
"Like hell I won't." He'd sneer back, a hand still grasping onto the man's collar while his free hand would brace for impact as Liam tried to strike him right at the bridge of his nose. Just before it could hit, the male would turn his face sideward, the punch now brushing his cheek instead. CREAK. Something definitely broke.
Being struck right on the cheekbone sent him into a slight daze but also dissolved the last of his paitence. "You're done" Sarcasm was replaced with anger, his words now laced with aggression. His hand would release his collar and move up to grip around the spy's neck.
Grasping tightly, he'd try to pull the man down and try to move on top of him, another strike now aimed to give him a black eye.
[attr="class","smdbody"]liam had bruised the silverette, and that should have been satisfaction enough; but it wasn't, he wanted more. so much so that he let himself get careless. he did nothing when the silverette grabbed his neck, letting the momentum get the better of him as he was turned onto his back.
then the punch came in. crack. he felt his eye sting and the area around it starting to swell. "you fuck--" he grunted. now the silverette was on top of him and he had the advantage.
but liam would take a page out of the man's book. with both hands he quickly reached up to grab the silverette's collar before swiftly pulling him down with one motion, attempting to bash heads with the man.

He'd grin as the punch landed. Getting a fine hit on the man should have been enough to make his point... whatever point that was. He couldn't think straight right now, the adrenaline having gotten the better of him. So instead of satisfaction, Adrien just wanted to strike the man again and again and up until the latter party conceded.
Alas, it didn't go plan. It never did.
Just as he raised his fist for a second time, his adversary would pull him down by the collar and smash heads. "URK!" The silverette would recoil in pain, a bloody gash now visible on his forehead. It seemed neither party was holding back. Neither wanted to.
"Fucktard!" He'd curse, a hand brushing against his bleeding injury as he stood up. Just speaking was an ordeal to carry out courtesy of the broken facial bone. In a final fit of rage, the man would attempt to kick the slate haired man in the side of the torso.
Whether it hit or not, he didn't wait to find out. Rather, he'd back away as more Galactics enters the lounge alerted by their scuffle. "Galactic really has fallen if they've promoting imbeciles likes you. Hell with it, I'm not going on any damn mission with you." Still fuming, the man would wave off the azure haired male.
"Blow up the couple if you want. Do things the galactic way, you dog. That's how you got promoted, right?! ." Frankly it seemed like hypocrisy being another Galactic member. Most wouldn't know what he was refering to, seeing as the silverette secretly hated some of the means Galactic used.
[ LIAM SUMMERS hmu if u think this goes overboard. I'll edit ]
[attr="class","smdbody"]the headbutt seemed to hurt the silverette more than it did to liam, which was a good thing as headbutts could always go both ways. he'd cut the man and that was satisfaction enough to see him bleed from his forehead. a grin grew on his face but that was quickly erased when a kick came for his torso.
he did not react or retaliate. instead he let the kick connect, recoiling as he clenched his torso in pain. "fuck--" he grunted. the silverette could handle himself, liam had to admit. he would have gotten up and fight more if the other galactic members didn't show up.
liam let the silverette throw out his insults and flames, standing there listening intently as he clutched his torso. some of the words he said cut deep; he had indeed turned into a galactic dog. but he saw no other way to achieve what he wanted. in the end he fell back down to his chair at the same table as before.
"this dog is in charge of you now," he spoke, letting out a sigh. "what does that make you?" he asked.

Adrien, by now, had calmed down considerably though still held some resentment against his supposed Superior. Walking away and towards a counter, he'd support his back against it as he stared down at the man who was now crawling back up to his chair.
For once the silverette didn't immediately answer not that he could - the swelling and pain from the strike to the face finally seeping in. But apart from that, Liam made a good point; one which he found ddifficult to swallow. "Dissa..." He'd stop and close his eyes as he gasped for air, the metallic taste of blood that dripped from the inside of his cheek becoming stronger.
"Disappointed." The words seemed to be forced out and even then escaped as a mutter. Pushing himself off the counter Adrien would head for the door disinterested in further continuing with this quarrel.
He was indeed in dismay for quite a few reasons - - one being this supposed promotion rewarded to, what he deemed to be, an unfit candidate and second that he let his anger get the better of him.
As for this mission they were assigned, he would make it clear that he wanted to drop it regardless of what trouble it got him with the admins. But if it were inevitable then things would take a turn for the worst.
