A solemn wind blew over the town of Celestic, the somber skies overhead forewarning the dwellers of the fair town of a calamity to come. A calamity that had already begun. For towards the east of the town that birthed tradition laid the Misty falls, renowned for the tales of romance and love it housed. Alas today twas not the place of ardor but one of abhor instead; where in place of lovers, mortal enemies would meet. It would be the venue for a long and dragged feud to finally end.
Beyond the plethora of waterfalls that inundated the vicinity was a cavern that led deeper into the valley. Past the cavern the skies would open and lead deeper in, a massive arc overhead. The ancient crafted arc was shaped to resemble the head of a rayquaza. Beautiful... And Ominous. Through the arc, the cascading waterfalls couldn't be muted out and through two masisve waters laid a lengthy and wide stony corridor. On either side of this corridor was a platform of sorts. One that could be considered a battlefield.
Brisk, crisp footsteps would resound through the cavern, a motive in mind as Adrien Arkwright would remerge from the other side. Today was the day he'd end it all and regardless of the consequences Adrien didn't want to drag this feud and ordeal for another day. He had left Leah without a parting word and Adrian with an empty promise that he'd meet her today. It hurt - from seeing Leah suffer, from parting with Jason and lying to the person he owed their lives to.
But he'd remind himself - He'd make it all worth it.
The azure-haired male's sole eye would scan the vicinity and set his sight on the platform across the long stretch of corridor before him. No one stood there, although he wasn't convinced. "Show yourself!" Adrien's voice bellowed through the arena of sorts, strong and clear despite the way he appeared. He was exhausted and irritated alas showed no other weakness. And while he had no pokemon out and besides him just yet, palmed in his hand was a weapon that could bring about a quick end to this all.
Now all that remained, was the guest of honour to grace him with his presence.
this is where it ends; no more games, no more tricks, just rage—revenge. the battle at celestic should have been the end of their feud, one of them should have perished under the rubble—maybe even both. even though he walked out of it mostly unscathed there was no clear winner that day. a petty quarrel turned into something toxic, something that drove both men to extremes.
most don't know about the existence of a cavern inside the waterfall but it housed a great battlefield, suitable for the best warriors. he stands on one side of it, eyes scanning, learning the interior. he's in the lead, having a few days to plan whatever this was. he searches for vantage points, traps, anything that might make a difference tomorrow. and when he's sure he's learned enough he'd let the sun retreat, taking refuge in the cold confines of the cavern for the night.
he spends all day preparing, letting rage brood inside of him. he finalizes his team, makes some quick changes to better counter the admin. he remembers the problems he faced last time, ground attacks almost being rendered useless by some. but he keeps an open mind and hopes he outwits his opponent again.
by the time evening comes he's ready—a surprise in the form of a pokemon lurks in the murky waters below, patch of waters spread across the battlefield all linked underneath the ground. it remains completely still but nears the opposing platform, keeps itself hidden. he stands behind a pillar, ears waiting every so patiently to pick up sounds—anything that will help ease his struggles.
then he hears it—footsteps, a voice. he smiles, a hand already grasping around a pokeball just in case. he steps closer, walks up onto his platform. "aww, what happened to your eye?" words travel across the battlefield, tone condescending. his weight is mostly on his left leg since his right's still recovering from the incident. a subtle change in his posture that he hopes would go unnoticed.
he looks to the far right of the room, at a single pillar, then to the opposite at the far left. he smiles, gives no indication as to what it could mean or what he was up to. he taps against his pokeball systematically—one, two, three—repeat. his eyes travel behind the man, around him, searching. "how's jason holding up?" he asks out of curiosity. then he asks another, and this time he isn't too sure out of what exactly.

And then he appeared, now facading Adrien's own blithe demeanour and tone. Eyes narrowed as Adrien remained absolutely mum, from the comment about his eye to Jason and finally... Leah. Whike the man kept a straight face up, anger fueled within him. This was a battlefield but he didn't care. He wasn't here for a battle, he didn't trust Liam enough to do so. The last tine he attempted to settle matters over a battle, Liam would break code and attempt to attack him directly..
This time, the battlefield would be ignored as Adrien stepped off his platform and walked towards Liam, his sole good eye fixed on the man. Half way through however Adrien would halt and scoff. A pause. "I'm tired of your bullshit," The silence would be torn open as three powerful sounds pierced through the air. The tranquility disturbed as suddenly...
Shots were fired.
In one quick motion, man had extended his armed hand and revealed a gun - three consecutive bullets headed straight for the man's head and neck. Twas the first time Adrien Arkwright had pulled the trigger on someone. And there were no regrets whatsoever. Even though three bullets raced towards Liam, the blue-haired wasn't convinced just yet. His free hand remained close to a pokeball should the situation call for it.
he tenses—eyes look over to the right seeking for help—help that came in the form of a PROTECT. the magical barrier shields him from two bullets, the last one breaking through and grazes the side of his neck. blood leaks—a hand reaches up to cover it, to apply pressure. the red liquid flows right past his hands, staining them dirty. the shot makes him stumble backwards, injured leg not quite able to stop his fall—he ends up on the ground and swiftly crawls backwards.
"now!"
there's no time for banter anymore as he looks to his right. behind the pillar stands an excadrill, zu sharpening his claws with a SWORDS DANCE before slashing at one pillar and the ground, sending rocks flying straight at the man for a ROCK SLIDE attack. it's swift—quick, eyes dart to the left—lucario, uca strengthens himself with a NASTY PLOT before using a PSYCHIC that surrounds the rocks, sending them flying faster—stronger, giving the admin little to no time to react.
in the mean time he backs away, a hand finds water. he ripples at it, as if telling the beast that laid underneath to remain silent—to remain patient. it wasn't needed just yet. he continues to back away until his back hits a wall. he hides himself behind a pillar, hand still clutches his bleeding neck. despite the situation he's still confident because he knows—knows he'll win.
he glances around the pillar to where the admin stood. he tries to speak, to yell out more mocks but any attempt to do so would be stopped by the pain that rang in his neck. he's bleeding, but not quick enough to be a serious threat just yet.
- excadrill uses protect - excadrill uses rock slide

One hit. And even Adrien was slightly taken aback at the sight of blood. Nonetheless, he wouldn't stop, finger about to pull the trigger again when Liam would yell. The Galactic's gaze would follow Liam's to his right, and while he couldn't see the mole pokemon, the slashed pillar would immediately alert him. "Protect!" His hand that was at his belt would immediately pull out a pokeball and toss it out, although by then, the pillar had already been sent his way. And fast,
Fuck.
All the man could do was brace for impact with hands crossed above his face. The Eelektross that was summoned forth would quickly coil before its master and obey immediately as it erected a green lunar shield. The Eelektross' hurried protect would only able to shield the man from part of the oncoming pillar, the earthen column shatters into sizable pieces that were hurled right for him. Pelted by shards and earth, Adrien would flinch ever so slightly when a shard grazed the side of his gaze - a minor cut and nothing more - alas the near death experience had his heart palpitating nonetheless.
But even death was petty for the price of your enemy's head.
As soon as the shield collapsed, Adrien's arm raised a second time, all sense of calm being lost. Teeth gritted together as he aimed towards the pillar. "Aqua Tail!" The levitating eelecktross would race forth, it's tail accumalating torrents of water as it'd swing its tail onto the pillar, attempting to slice it off and blow the blond's cover. If successful, Adrien would the trigger again with another two bullets being fired right for the man. Eeleecktross on the other hand would reel by it's master's side, awaiting it's next order quietly
his eyes see everything—the burst of white, the eel, the protect. annoyance builds as he watches the admin scrape by with only a mere cut. he wants more, expects more. his guard does not let down as he sees the eel approach, and when he sees the tail raised he knew what would follow. he quickly pushes himself to the side, his hand leaves the wound as he scrambles along the ground. eventually he's upright, moving quickly to the next pillar.
then he hears it—gunshots rattles the air. he can't turn to see it in time, all he can do is hope—which came in the form of a PROTECT from the excadrill. it wouldn't be enough to stop two bullets, the second shot breaking through the barrier and grazes the side of his arm. the impact isn't strong enough to take him off of his feet. soon he reaches another pillar where he takes refuge. he ignores the wound on his arm and reaches up to cover the one on his neck instead, which was already stained red.
his head peers around the pillar again. the fucking gun is the main issue here. he sees the eel slither back to its master. "zu, take the eel." eyes shift right then left. "uca, the gun." he needed to get rid of it quick before it causes any more problems.
it's too dangerous to just charge straight at the man, especially with the weapon still in his hand. so uca moves first, using a PSYCHIC to attempt to send the man flying backwards, but not before another PSYCHIC would engulf the weapon and attempt to pry it away from the man, tossing it into the water. zu's quick to move once he sees the lucario attack—DIGging his way underneath the earth, careful to avoid the water before reappearing underneath the eel to deliver a powerful attack.
he needs to move, he can't get caught out like that again and yet he can't charge straight at the man. he contemplates revealing his trump card—the beast that lies below—but he refrains for now, deeming it not necessary quite yet. he moves to another pillar, keeping low to avoid any misfires.

Dust and debris erupted as the pillar was crushed, Adrien's sole good eye following Liam's moment with two shots fired. Another bullet would scrap at the man's arm causing the Galactic admin to click his tongue in dismay. He wanted Liam dead, not injured. This just wasn't enough. "Come out, fucker!" The man's voice bellowed as he took a few caution steps forward, a psychic shell suddenly taking him by surprise.
Feet would be lifted off the ground and the gun ripped from his grip. Dammit. Everything happened in seconds and Adrien would be literally thrown across the field, his frame hitting the ground hard. There was nothing he could do but brace for impact once more. He'd land on his back first before rolling over on his shoulder before stopping.
A pained grunt escaped his lips as his dazed eye tried to refocus. There was no time to pause or take breaks anymore. Not when that man was still breathing. The Arkwright male would push himself back on his feet just in time to see Eelecktross receive a powerful blow, whipping back in pain as it attempted to dodge and lessen the brutality of the attack. It didn't wait for orders however, retaliating on its own with another aqua tail attack.
Adrien's face stung from the cut, his shoulder aching terribly from the landing. Even then, he'd just flatten his lips and keep himself from wincing from the bruises he received. "Why're you doing this?!" Spoken as he pulled out another pokeball. The gun was lost but that didn't stop him. It did however calm him down a bit. "All this for Lena?! She left you on her own accord!" He'd yell.
He wanted reason despite wanting Liam dead. He wanted to know why.
IT'S THE SAME OLD STORY BUT YOU NEVER GET IT RIGHT
Fucking responsibilities. They always appeared to getting in the way one way or another, a scowl burned into the ginger's expression due to this as she rode to the remote area near Celestic Town. By all means this should have been a ranger mission, a small elite team of rangers should have been sent out as back up, yet this wasn't the case. Call it arrogance but after her failure to arrest Liam in Canalave and seeing how much her failure affected someone else made Adrian want to finish this off the books. She didn't need to drag more rangers into this - she didn't want to drag anyone else into this. This might not have started as her fight but it certainly would end as one.
Riding atop the back of her Salamence on her way to where her tracker lead her, she began thinking over the information and the possibilities. The wing beats of the dragon allowed the ranger to pace her thoughts on what she had known. For at least the past twenty four hours, the phone tracer she had out for Liam's number kept his location set at Misty Falls. If it had not been moving on occasion she would have assumed it was tracking bait. Even then it very well could have been yet Adrian decided to investigate regardless. She wasn't wearing her ranger uniform this time but she did wear some of the protective gear under her normal clothes. Her pokeballs lined the left side of her belt while her gun and taser sat in holsters on the right. As she approached the point in question, her mind trying to focus on the task at hand, her tranquility was shattered with the sound of gunshots ripping through the air. Her breath froze short. Who fired a gun? Why?
Before she knew it Salamence was flying over Misty Falls as the sounds of conflict reached up to her. Giving a pat on the back to the dragon, the flying type descended quickly to get the ranger closer to the action. In moments the emerald gaze of her irises honed in on the blurry picture of the unfolding events. A twisting feeling struck her chest, rooted from a mixture of indignation and concern as she watched the familiar figure being flung across the ground. "Adrien!" she called out instinctively as her Salamence took the cue and slowed near the ground to allow the ranger to dismount. Leaping off the dragon, she landed with no incident and ran to Arkwright's side with the intention of helping him up while withholding the urge to deck him afterwards. He has said something across the field but the entire meaning of those words were lost to her as of the moment, the name Lena not even registering in her head.
Salamence gave a roar as he entered the battlefield to intimidate the two steel pokemon. Knowingly, Adrian snapped a simple order for her pokemon to follow. "Keep them off of us," while brief the ginger was more concerned about why this was happening and would let the dragon take care of the rest. Taking that as permission to do as he wished, the Salamence slammed his body down into the ground to create strong shockwave of earthquake. Taking a breath, he continued to unleash his attacks in succession, unleashing a flamethrower at the aura pokemon that had attacked the human.
Adrian on the other hand shifted her attention to the blue haired man who was obviously injured. "The fuck!? You said you wouldn't come!" she'd scold loudly, her tone portraying the anger she felt from the betrayal. She knew. At this moment she knew that Adrien had lied to her. That he came here to fight Liam - that he was still fighting Liam right now. Ideally she should have focused on doing the same but she wanted answers.
he's hiding, playing the coward's game—he's not in this for theatrics, honor, or pride—he's here to end things once and for all. he's now bleeding from two sources, the one on his neck slowing down considerably. he tries to slow his breathing as he peers around the corner. he sees the aqua tail hit zu and the mole recoils in pain, sent flying back but he catches his footing as he hits the ground. uca's about ready to go in for another attack but was stopped by the appearance of a salamence.
eyes widen as he sees a familiar face—the same one who shot him not too long ago. he expected her to come, that was one reason why he still kept his phone. if—once this ends with him as the victor he doesn't want to spend his life constantly looking over his shoulder. so far the ranger has been the only one who's come close to arresting him—eliminate her and everything else will be okay, everything will be fine.
but the situation makes him laugh, completely ignoring sending orders to his team. they knew what to do; both of them dodge the earthquake, but uca could not escape the fire that came from the dragon. it scorches him but he's fine, still stands strong. looking at the enemies he reevaluated his plans. a pokeball recalls back the mole to give him rest for now.
he doesn't attack yet, instead his attention turns to the ranger, blood still boiling from the mention of lena earlier. "what's a ranger doing helping a galactic?" he scoffs loud enough for both of them to hear. the silence lingers for a moment. "seeking for justice? vengeance?" he takes one step to the side, just enough to reveal half of his body. "you had a wanted criminal in handcuffs and you still somehow manage to let him escape. now i understand why you're with him." he looks to uca, then down at the water—still, lifeless.
"you're both useless."
immediately he'd scoot back around the pillar—"dra!"—suddenly the body of water was still no longer. out from beneath comes a kingdra. coldness sweeps through the cavern, a strong BLIZZARD overwhelming the battlefield, shards of ice forming with intentions of hurting them. uca, still buffed from before, forces his hands forward to create a strong DRAGON PULSE aimed at the dragon. the eel wasn't going to last long, so he sets priorities onto the dragon. one more BLIZZARD comes out, a strong wind rattles the cavern so much so that he finds himself shivering a bit, each breath now releasing a puff of smoke.
this is his fight to win.
- excadrill gets hit by aqua tail - excadrill dodges earthquake - excadrill is recalled
- special attack +2 - lucario dodges earthquake - lucario is hit by flamethrower - lucario uses dragon pulse on salamence

Liam wouldn't answer, Adrien's frustration growing at his silence before a third voice spoke up. A voice that struck him with anxiety almost immediately. Turning around in bewilderment, Adrien's concerns would be confirmed as a Salamence landed and a certain redhead disembarked. "Adrian?!," There was utter disbelief in his voice and the man could only hope he was hallucinating. Why was she here? Fuck, why was she here?! "No, No. NO!" The man would shake his head and murmur to himself, Adrian's presence was all but welcome -- getting her involved or injured was not part of the agenda.
But were they more? His eye would look behind her but it seemed no other ranger seemed to follow; both a relief and annoyance. "You came here on your own?! Are you crazy?! He's a madman, he'll kill you!" He'd yell back as a hand would extend out towards Liam before answering her question. "Like you'd allow me otherwise! You need to leave right now!" Adrien would then turn his head towards Liam as imaginary gears clicked. Tch. Nothing came to mind, not with the ranger's sudden appearance.
Liam's taunts however were all but effective, the man hardly bothered over the ranger's failed attempt to arrest the criminal. She had got Jason and Leah back alive and was all that mattered to him. And if anything, Liam actually helped unintentionally. Galactic, he said. Galactic, so be it. Adrien would snap his head to the ginger, a hand pressed against his chest. "Yes, I'm Galactic! You're helping a criminal! This isn't what you signed up for!!!"A mix of emotions were felt and Mastry would be left to interpret the words, Adrien only hoping that was enough to get her to leave.
"dra!,"
And then all hell broke loose. A cold, albeit sudden, draught of wind would inundate the field accompanied by a plethora of sharp shards that pierced and grazed at Adrien, ripping through skin and fabric. Every shard stung and bled and a mere arm held near his face was all the protection he could muster. "Protect," A muffed voice would immediately have the Eelecktross slither close to the duo, a capsule encasing the the ginger and himself. "Are you alright?" Blood dipped from every gash present and he hoped the ranger faired better.
Scanning the battlefield from behind the capsule, the male would bite his lower lip. He was in a fix. Bringing down the whole area wasn't an option anymore. The pokeball would be retracted and another would be pulled out. But he couldn't release it just yet, for as long as the blizzard raged on Adrien had no choice but to continue shielding them with the protect capsule.

give it up
IT'S THE SAME OLD STORY BUT YOU NEVER GET IT RIGHT
Rather than responding to her immediately, Adrian was mildly irritated to be met with a scolding. Not taking well to being told to leave, the ranger shook her head in disappointment. "You're one to talk. I told you to stay safe." Her tone conveyed her anger of being lied to and being treated as if she was a nuisance. Ignoring the tinge of pain in her chest from his words, she'd shoved Adrien in the shoulder as if to tell him to back off. Honestly she was sick of feeling like a failure. Her pride wouldn't allow otherwise. "Who gives a fuck if I die!? It was my choice to come here and I'll finish the job no matter what. It's your lack of faith that's disturbing!" Her expression reflected her vehemence on the subject.
This might have sounded like a suicide mission in the name of her sense of duty as a ranger. In some ways it might have been, yet it was for nothing so noble like a cause. No matter what she had said, the reality is that this was for herself, and being able to help Adrien was a bonus. It was not as if Adrian thought through this logically like she should have, yet she was confident that if she had indeed died here then no one would mourn much. Isabelle would take her short-lived position as commissioner and likely do a better job. Adrian was only doing what she could, what she knew, and that was working on the field.
Liam's voice only made things worse and did nothing less than further exasperate the redhead. His taunting was aimed at her this time, pointing out her previous failure much to her chagrin, and everything he said only fueled her interests in staying. If she had even considered leaving before then that all went out the window. Truly Adrian did not consider Liams words, figuring he was trying to turn her against Arkwright. "The fuck do you mean? You're the galactic here, a wanted cri-"
Wait.
Her words were stopped short when her opposite had spoke. Her gaze shifted to the side to give her attention back to Adrien who affirmed Liam's words. The information stunned her, her eyes looking into Adrien's single good one to find any indication of a lie. Instantly she shouted. "YOU WHAT!?" Something in her chest dropped to the floor and now she was fuming, her entire body tensing up. How else was she supposed to react? Was it another lie? He was apparently good at telling those. Yet it made sense if she had thought through things. She wouldn't have that luxury however as instantly a flurry of cold air flooded the area. Mirroring Adrien, the ginger rose her arms up instinctively to protect her head. She was able to stand her ground fine and even took a few steps forward to try to attract more attention towards herself than eyepatch. The ice shards that had struck Adrien made a similar impact on Adrian, causing a few lacerations to leave their mark on her flesh. To her it didn't matter and she bore through the pain, her eyes shifting to her Salamence.
The dragon knew that the ice was hazardous and flew backwards, back towards the ranger. Knowing it needed to find some shelter, it sought refuge behind one of the pillars, however it was not fast enough to do so completely. Being struck by several of the ice shards itself, it had crashed behind the structure before the second wave hit much to Adrian's dismay. Salamence was being a large target and would not be able to stand fighting in these conditions much longer. Not many could. Salamence did his best to recover its wounds using Roost yet it did not anticipate the blast of Dragon Pulse that struck through the pillar and into the dragon itself. It roared out in pain and Adrian knew she couldn't allow Salamence to continue this beating much longer.
As the Elektross erected the shield for Adrien and herself, she'd recall her Salamence swiftly. "I'm fine," she'd answer back curtly without hesitation, as if trying to will her words to truth. The woman would not even inspect her own injuries though she'd be lying if she said that the reprieve from the blizzard was not helpful. Some of the gashes at her sides were bleeding moderately though she ignored them for the most part. "We'll fucking talk about this later Arkwright." Not even sparing Adrien a glance, she released a heavy sigh. She needed to focus and to be frank couldn't even stand to look at him right now.
And people wonder why she had trust issues.
Regardless, they had to turn the tide somehow. Tugging off another pokeball from her belt, she threw it forward to bring Blissey onto the field. "Light Screen." The plan was to reduce the effectiveness of those ranged attacks and maybe find an opening somewhere. With this in mind Adrian hovered a hand over the gun holster preemptively, part of her still wondering about the gunshots from earlier. In the mean time the pink pokemon chimed her name as she erected an invisible barrier like structure. For this plan to work she needed Adrien to cooperate and focus on attacking rather than defending, however for one reason or another she refused to communicate that... or anything else.
he shivers as the cold wind passes—he's safe, safe from the shards that pierces. his breathing is shaky due to the cold, he feels his temperature dropping but he's still fine for now. the blood's now slowly leaking inside of pouring which prompts him to remove his hand from his neck. he watches as shards cut and rattle through them, slightly annoyed at the protect that came. the salamence's soon recalled and he could not be happier about it.
he learns a lot about the two's relationship just by watching the admin react. he raises an eyebrow—was this genuine care, concern? he's pondering as he watches a blissey take the battlefield. it doesn't faze him, it actually does the opposite as he was expecting something much scarier. he guesses that her last pokemon would be that absol, which only allows him to further plan for it. the admin on the other hand, he's tricky, unpredictable.
the protect won't last forever. he has to remain on the offense, be the one in control. so he slowly walks to another pillar, imitating a predator circling its prey. he nods at uca before bending down—his hand hovers over the water, he taps it three times. "dra." he says. it's unconventional, but this makes sure his opponent suspects nothing. he steps back, stands back up. he's wary of the possibility of a gun the ranger has, so he keeps a close eye on her.
"neither of you are getting out of here alive!" he yells, tone aggressive, angry.
they need to move as one unit—and so they do—uca moves first, charges swiftly at the galactic. he closes the distance and throws out two AURA SPHERES, balls of powerful energy flies straight at adrien. he quickly steps back, runs back to safety as dra takes command of the battlefield. a BLIZZARD emerges once again, cold air sweeps through the battlefield. he times it perfectly, a strong HYDRO PUMP leaves the kingdra—sharp, strong, powerful—aimed straight for the ranger. he's forcing, creating situations where his opponents would have to make split second decisions—in this case it was for the ranger to decide on how to avoid the strong water attack—and also the galactic, who has to somehow avoid the two aura spheres from lucario.
he's controlling the flow of the battle.
- special attack +2 - lucario uses aura sphere on adrien - lucario uses aura sphere on adrien
- kingdra uses blizzard - kingdra uses hydro pump on adrian

Stay safe she had told him and while she meant to stay the fuck away from Liam, in Adrien's own logic - - ending his nemesis was the only way he could gurantee the safety of himself, his family and his friends. Not that Liam even attempted at his life anymore, but rather, at his sanity; something he was slowly losing grasp of. And then she speaks again, her words fueling his own irritation. "I do! And why are you... Just.. Tch!," A hand ran through his hair as he refocused on the battle, unable to concentrate and think calmly at this point. He couldn't understand her reasoning and Adrian just seemed to be acting irrationally according to him. "..." It didn't help that the woman wouldn't budge and thought they could talk about this later. Alas, the way this battle was headed, it didn't seem that there would be a 'later'. Not for the blue-haired male, at least.
The protect erected by the eel would soon die out, Adrien quick to recall it and send out Dusknoir instead. Mastry didn't seem keen on talking to him again, and at this point, neither was he as conversation redundant. Her wounds were concerning although on the battlefield there wasn't much he could do. The massive cyclops pokemon's sole eye would radiate a bright red as it stood before its master and detected the the lucario's charging attack. it didn't quite know what to expect until the sphere was completely formed and propelled at Adrien. The admin needed to make a quick decision, one which would flash past is mind as a similar situation with a certain rampardos was recalled.
"Grab and deflect!" The Galactic admin instructed and Hades would stay its ground, hands held ajar as it braced itself. And when the first sphere came their way, the cyclops would recoil a little as hands slammed on either side of the sphere, the pressure and force of the sphere causing the Dusknoir to exert all its strength to keep it from shooting away from its grip. "The kingdra!" Using the momentum from the sphere, Hades would twist it's frame and propel the sphere towards the oncoming hydro pump. The sphere would attempt to push against the force of the hydro pump and towards the Kingdra as a counter attack should it be successful.
Whether or not it worked, the Dusknoir wouldn't be able to perform the feat a second time and would brace itself as it took on the second sphere, it's high defense making it possible to withstand such an attack. "Fuck..." Adrien would curse as the blizzard would inundate the field a second time, shards cutting into him once again. That kindgra was a problem. "Take cover" He'd mumur at the woman unable to erect another protect, before taking pained forward and towards Liam, Dusknoir braving the blizzard besides him. "Earthquake. Then Brick break," His voice remained muffled behind his arm and only Dusknoir would be able to pick onto it.
It's wispy bodice would glow a dull blue before an earthquake would vigorously shake the battlefield, the attack aimed at both Lucario and Kingdra. Once done, the cyclops would flicker away and reappear close to the water dragon, a hand raised and ready to slam down on the pokemon's muzzle. Meanwhile, Adrien would attempt to walk towards Liam, another pokeball drawn out but not released just yet.

give it up
IT'S THE SAME OLD STORY BUT YOU NEVER GET IT RIGHT
The two had a mutual agreement it seemed. They weren’t talking to each other but that was more due to their stubbornness than anything else. The woman truly didn’t understand Adrien or his intentions and probably never would. She should have accepted that long ago. On the other hand Liam’s outburst gave her more than enough motivation to continue working with the blue haired man. Liam was getting angered, agitated by something unbeknownst to herself, and while she would have loved to know what it was, her focus shifted as the Lucario and the Kingdra began moving again.
By now the redhead should have expected the Hydro Pump attack to be aimed for herself. More than once had there been the threat of water being drawn in her general direction. The Aura Spheres aimed for Adrien were more what concerned her though. On instinct her body moved in an attempt to move Adrien out of the way over making any demands of her own pokemon. Yet as soon as Dusknoir entered the field, she stopped herself. Watching the deflection of the first aura sphere, following its new trajectory, it was only then did she notice the immediate threat of the Hydro Pump as it was intercepted. The Light screen made the attacks less potent however the mixture of water and the new cold climate that was being created would be dangerous to scum to, had it reached her.
While the ranger would not show her gratitude as of this moment, she did make a mental note of the notion for later. Strangely the second Aura Sphere was taken by the Dusknoir and the Blizzard did not help anything in this regard. Adrian heard the curse from Adrien and she couldn’t help but agree some shards cut into her as well. How long could that Kingdra keep up this tundra? “Leuphorie, help that Dusknoir.” The Blissey couldn’t actually follow the ghost pokemon as it went forward charging at the Kingdra, however with a brief pause a Heal Pulse was sent towards Dusknoir to help recover its injuries. It would have to do.
Shifting her gaze, she eyed where Liam had shown his face. He was sitting pretty while ordering his pokemon to attack them. Adrian couldn’t help but feel her blood pressure rise despite the chill creeping through her skin. Something had to be done and if that meant playing dirty then so be it. “Psychic over there,” Adrian pointed her left hand towards where she had seen Liam as her right pulled the gun out the holster and removed the safety on it. The Earthquake shook the ground making it harder to judge however the Blissey understood what the ranger was implying. Trying to keep her ground, the egg pokemon waved her small arm to cause a psychic shockwave to fly towards the pillar Liam hid behind intending to shatter it. Adrian on the other hand lifted her hand and watched for movement, pulling the trigger if she so happened to see any.
a part of him regrets not bringing a firearm now seeing as everyone else has one—guns were too simple, too common. he shakes his head at how the battle transpires, the aura spheres not too effective, one of them even cancelled out the hydro pump. then the counter attacks came. he keeps his mouth shut knowing that his pokemon could handle it on their own. his eyes look to the ranger, a gun now in her hands being aimed straight at him. suddenly the pillar in front of him cracks, crumbles, leaving him to swiftly duck onto the ground.
keep low, he tells himself. yet another gun. he waits behind the rubble for his pokemon to provide cover. he keeps himself steady on the ground as it shakes violently. the duo manages to dodge the earthquake rather easily. dra catches the brick break, unable to move due to the sudden appearance. he cries in pain, letting the momentum carry him downwards and back into the water. he ripples underneath the water, cutting through as he pops out in front of the blissey before spitting a TOXIC goo at it. he falls back into the water and stays there for now.
he sees the admin moving towards him ever so slowly. this was what he wanted, a proper confrontation. the gun still poses too big of a risk, so he waits it out. uca moves, still buffed by the earlier nasty plot he sends out a SHADOW BALL straight at the dusknoir, the powerful attack hoping to render it useless.
meanwhile he crawls along the ground hidden behind rubble to another pillar. he needs to keep quiet, hands rubbing against each other as temperature soon stabilizes. he doesn't dare peer around the corner, instead he simply yells, "don't be mad, i didn't mean to hurt you. i honestly thought they'd send a stronger ranger, instead i got shit." just taunts. his hand finds a pokeball and he releases his excadrill. he taps against the ground.
"dig under and wait. i will need you soon." so zu does just that, uses a DIG to dig into the ground, being careful to avoid any patches of water. zu might need a distraction, so he yells again. "how's leah, adrien? i might visit after this." he keeps his ears open for any sounds—more importantly footsteps.
