Parker was pretty pissed honestly. He was standing in the middle of the snow with a cigarette dangling between his lips, leaning against a wall and waiting for the spy he was supposed to be working with on this mission. It was cold though, cold as all living hell, and his hoodie wasn't doing much to block out the cold.
He couldn't exactly afford to buy a new coat or anything, or even new shoes, so he was pretty much soaked to the bone as snow fluttered down from the sky and clung to his eyelashes, fluttering gently. He scuffed his tattered shoes against the snow covered pavement and huffed out some smoke from his nose, curls damp under his beanie.
The mission was pretty simple, information extraction from someone who rubbed on Galactic's bad side. Being an enforcer with plenty of experience, Parker knew how to deal with small time rats. He had a baseball bat with him, which for some reason got not a second glance by busy passers by.
Egg was hopping around in the snow, happy as could be, and Parker scoffed slightly and stubbed out his cigarette. He was feeling that familiar ache in his chest letting him know he'd been wearing his binder too long, having fallen asleep with it on previously. He stretched and twisted his body to relieve some of the pain, bending down briefly to scoop up Egg from getting trampled on by some of the strangers crowding around them.
Really all he wished he could do was his damn job, but this guy or whatever was taking forever to get there. He considered busting out a blunt, but refrained from the thought not wanting to cloud his judgement. Instead he picked out a few pokeblocks from his pocket, feeding them to the now shivering baby pokemon tucked safely in his arms.

Violence was the last thing Adrien would resort to although with the recent turn of events -- it seemed to be the only thing on his agenda. From being trashed to doing the trashing, Galactic had seemed to have plummeted to the ranks of a petty gang. Today was no different; Adrien, along with another unacquainted Galactic were sent to Snowpoint City to deal with a menace. Twas an associate of Galactic, one that apparently thought selling out information would earn him some easy money.
Pathetic.
The silverette would earn a few glances his way as he exited the pokemon center and headed towards the designated area; his pitch-black trench-coat off from what was norm around these parts. It didn't bother him; the coat did well to keep him warm and the snow off his frame.
The man flicked his wrist once as he checked his watch. He was late, he didn't care -- he was in-charge and that was how he liked it. His subordinate could wait. Within another ten minutes, he'd reach the area and a quick scan would point him towards the thug leaning against the wall, armed with a bat and a vullaby.
"Would you put that damn bat down?" The male would call out as he approached the redhead, his voice stern as he hoped not to attract too much attention towards them. It didn't help that their attires seemed at a complete contrast -- with the recruit's more casual (if not plebian) wear a stark contrast to his more formal garb.
'Shady' didn't begin to describe the two. "Adrien," He'd introduce himself with a single word before focusing on the building across them, the residence of their tagret. "I assume you know what you're doing with that thing?" He'd ask indifferently, hoping that bat wasn't meant for more than threatening their target. Then again, this was the first time he was working with an enforcer...

Blinking sluggishly against the snow he glanced up at the sound of approaching footsteps, sneering at the figure approaching him. This must be the guy he was working with, and Parker wasn't very happy about it. The guy screamed rich snob and he couldn't deal with rich snobs.
Already his knuckles itched and throb with the need to teach this guy a lesson, but he resisted. Maybe some other time when they weren't on a mission together. He frowned at the tone the guy took but simply ignored him, if anything only swinging the bat higher on his shoulder and tightening his grip.
The idiot didn't seem to realize people didn't care about them, though now that he brought attention to himself a few curious bystanders cast them glances.
"Parker. And obviously I do otherwise I'd be a shitty enforcer now wouldn't I?"
He was blunt and to the point and he glanced at the building across the way, tilting his head. He grinned then, something animalistic and positively savage that lit up his face in a very disturbing way.
"You ready to get this shit going? Let's break some bones."
He stalked forward, not bothering to wait for his supposed "superior" to take the lead. He could do this, he did this shit all the time. He was a scrapper, an enforcer, a brawler.

With an image to keep up and after having his face plastered over various media due to the recent veilstone city shenanigans, Adrien couldn't help but remain paranoid and even the most harmless of glances his way was considered a threat of sorts. "..." The silverette cocked a brow and eyed the enforcer judgementally, his attitude definitely didn't bide well with him, although he strayed from commenting courtesy of the bat Parker held over his shoulder.
He wasn't looking forward for another Hospital trip.
"Let's keep the bone breaking to a minimum..." Adrien would murmur as he scanned the building. Twas a shoddy little establishment - - old glass doors, broken windows and grass sprouting from every crack and joint of the buidling. Not a security guard in sight either. Perfect. With gloved hands shoved into his pockets, the spy would begin a casual walk towards the building.
Click. He'd enter the structure and head directly for the room on the left end of the worn down corridor. A grimace would surface on his lips as he inspected the surroundings; filthy and smelt of weed. Ugh. A pause before the silverette would rap on their target's door.
No response, not immediately before scuffling could be heard from within. He hoped they'd open the door before, well, the enforcer besides him had to take more drastic measures.

Admittedly he was a little satisfied with the way he could shut people up just by threatening violence on either them or other people. It was so easy sometimes. He smirked as they entered the building and glanced around, relaxing his shoulders at the sight of broken glass and graffiti littering the walls in a rather unattractive display of teenage creativity.
Seems some people were trying to practice their tagging skills. It always started somewhere. He stood with his bat slung over his shoulder and his other hand shoved in his pocket, Egg fluttering from her position under his arm. He wouldn't let her walk around just yet, he didn't want her lagging behind.
He followed after Adrien as he wandered down a hallway, idly chewing on his lip as he hoped something exciting would happen in time for him to use his bat. The smell of weed was strong here and Parker had to sniff his hoodie to make sure it wasn't him, he swore he just did his laundry like two days ago.
When he rapped on the door Parker almost felt his eyes roll back in his head, was this guy serious? Was he expecting them to open the door and offer them tea or some shit? Hearing the scuffling inside Parker realized it wasn't coming towards the door, but away from it. Tensing suddenly he shoved Adrien out of the way and slammed the heel of his foot into the doorknob, smashing in the door and stalking inside just in time to see their rat trying to climb out the window.
"Oh no you don't fucker!"
Parker reached forward and grabbed the guy's leg, using both hands to rip him from the sill and into the room again. The guy thrashed and yelled out, fighting back, and Parker ended up equally on the floor with Egg skittering away to hide behind Adrien. Finally, seated atop the rat, Parker cracked him across the face with his fist and stunned him.
"Fuckface. You got me good though, but not good enough."
Glancing around he spotted a chair in the corner, getting up and dragging it over. He shoved the rat into the chair and pulled out a length of rope from his hoodie pocket, tying the rat to the chair and glancing over at Adrien.
"So uh, you gonna actually fucking do something or just stand there pretending to look pretty?"

While Adrien hoped they could do this without the need of unnecessary violence (hence the knock), Parker obviously had other ideas. "Uf! Hey!" He'd snap as the enforcer shoved him back and entered with a literal 'bang'. "Dammit..." Eyes widened as the racket reached the corridor, well aware that it would mayhaps alert the neighbours. Then again, folk living in such a shithole were maybe used to it.
The spy would enter behind Parker and close the door, a hand raised and ready to pull out his revolver should the situation escalate any further. Thankfully Parker seemed to pull through and Adrien would just spectate with a grimace scrawled across his face. A sigh as the enforcer finally refocused his attention on him.
"Watch it, recruit," He'd murmur under his breath, pursing his lips as he approached the fink. "Let's make this quick. Tell us who you've sold information to and we'll let you keep all your limbs..." Threats were one thing he was good at. Eyes would notion towards the redhead with the bat as his lips upturned into a smirk "Or...well, he'll take over~"
Don't hurt me. I don't know them. I only wanted to--
"Teh, time's up!" Adrien would cut him off and roll his eyes at the finite number of excuses thrown at him. He'd take a step back, allowing for the recruit to do his thing.
"Don't go overboard..." Another murmur meant only for the enforcer's ears, the man worried that their entrance itself sufficed in alerting the building residence.

Parker snickered to himself quietly at the seeming offended nature of his supposed "superior." The racket wasn't too bad in his mind, necessary noises in the long run when it came to the scuffle. But hey, it wasn't like he couldn't try to take on anyone who bothered to come through and try to investigate. He tapped his bat on the ground and grinned when the rat whimpered uselessly from his bonds.
He really really hoped he'd get to intervene here. He'd been itching for a fight and got a scuffle, and now he was itching for a beating. A good old fashioned trashing honestly if he was being clear. He loomed next to Adrien, eyes flashing menacingly behind his glasses and slightly bloody nose. He looked like an animal from this angle, and he felt sore in all the right places from their tumble on the ground.
He nearly giggled with glee - though he did release a slightly manic cackle at the thought of getting to do his work. He raised his bat and stood in front of the rat, who whimpered and cried out more excuses to the deafened ears of Parker.
WAIT WAIT I'LL TELL YOU I'LL TELL YOU!!
Parker was pretty disappointed in this development honestly, and looked toward Adrien with a raised brow. For good measure though he hit the rat in the kneecap with a loud smack, a very loud crack sounding through the room. Parker cackled as the rat howled with pain.

Scare tactics, more oft than not, yielded some wondrous results. And today was no different when the bloke gave in rather quickly -- the enforcer's animalistic bloodlust doing wonders (and not just for the rat). Adrien himself had to take a step away from Parker, certain that the redhead wouldn't regret getting a shot or two at him if he were caught in the crossfire.
"Glad we co---" He'd pause as Parker cocked a brow, slowly shaking his head motioning a 'no'. SMACK! CRACK! And anything and everything in between would drown out at the man howled out in pain. Ugh, Of course Parker went ahead.
"Are you fucking insane?!" Adrien would finally snap, bewildered eyes staring daggers at the man. "We're in a goddamn building!" He'd continue, his voice raised by a few decibels. Scuffling could be heard from outside the door.
Well, so much for keeping a low profile...
"Hades..." Diverting his attention away from the sulking rat and maniacal subordinate, Adrien would draw out a pokeball and release a Dusknoir. A large cyclops would tower over them all as he scanned their surroundings.
"Keep an eye out. No one enters this building," That was enough to have the ghost type phase through the wall and undertake the task handed to him. As for the rat, "We aren't done with you. Tell us everything," He'd lean forward and await the man's testimony. Dealing with Parker came later.
It wouldn't be long before sirens could be heard in the distance.

"Yeah and? There's buildings everywhere, plus we'll be out of here before anyone can really do anything anyway. Not like we're scared of police right? This guy will really talk now or he'll get it worse."
The last part was directed at the rat, who at the raised bat that Parker held suddenly higher, whimpered out an excuse and a promise.
"Okay! Okay! I-I sold you guys out to Vandam's men!"
Parker tilted his head, recognizing the name. Which was surprising because Vandam wasn't an organization, they were a gang. What was a gang going to do with Galactic information? Then again what was Galactic doing hiring kids like him that came from gangs?
"What's Vandam want with this information?"
Parker tapped the guy's surely shattered knee, the guy howling for a moment before sobbing out his replies.
"Rats! Rats in Galactic! New recruits!"
Parker made a noise of understanding, leaning on the bat and looking at Adrien.
"Well you got your info, what do you want me to do with him? Kill him?"
The rat made a high pitched noise of terror, which Parker didn't even flinch at. He'd done this before, he knew there weren't many options here. Parker tilted his head again at the sound of sirens in the distance, eyeing the window and walking over to judge how far the drop was. Considering they were on the ground floor it was nothing, but the shards of glass sticking out of the window would be an issue. This particular room faced the back of the building and would provide the most cover, so Parker used his bat to smash out the remaining glass while the rat begged for his life to Adrien.
"Make a decision man those sirens are getting closer."
Post by adrien arkwright on Jul 25, 2016 22:49:39 GMT
"Carrying out that threat wasn't necessary," He'd retort -- the all bark and no bite tactic wasn't the best out there, but it got the lower dogs such as the one before him to talk nonetheless. As for the police, keeping a low profile was essential at all means, at least to Adrien it was, seeing how he had an image to protect while his partner for this mission seemed like a vagabond with nary a care for who fucks up who.
Either way, the rat had spoken. Vandem, it seemed; a name he was vaguely similar with -- their petty and thuggish antics weren't really something Galactic had bothered themselves. But as to why they needed information -- that was something that needed further probing.
Eyes narrowed at the thought of potential rats in Galactic. No surprise there -- the organisation did have the goddamn habit of hiring highschool dropouts and petty criminals. They'd turn to anyone who paid more. He'd sigh as the blaring sirens got louder.
"Knock him unconscious. We're taking him along with us," He'd finally come to a decision and in time too as the door slammed open. Turning around, Adrien would see a fainted police-houndoom at his feet, Hades standing proudly at the door. It seemed a police had already tried to make their way in.
"Freeze! We've got you surrounded,"
A megaphone from outside the building would blare. Fuck. Adrien would grit his teeth, the window was still an option although it seemed they wouldn't go down without a fight. "Can your vullaby hold it's own?" He'd turn to the enforcer.
Whether he liked it or not, they'd have to force their way out.

Knock him out? Really? Parker sighed dramatically and groaned, but the rat seemed to calm down and was rather thankful. That was, until Parker's bat cracked against his temple and he was out like a light. Pulling out a switchblade Parker slashed the ties and picked up the guy, tossing him over his shoulder and correcting his weight, for once glad his center of gravity was much lower than the average guy.
"Alright dude, Egg can hold her own. We going out the window?"
He was distracted slightly by the police-pokemon, but frowned as Egg waddled her way in the door from the outside, feathers ruffled. Seemed she managed to stay low, but Parker clicked his fingers anyway. She fluttered over, cooing softly and nipping at his fingers as he scratched at her feathers.
"Alright let's go."
He tossed the guy out the window and hopped out, bat in one hand and Egg in the other. He picked the guy back up and tossed Egg gently forward where she fluttered to the ground unharmed. He started making his way away from the building, not really bothering to hide as he saw a few police officers ahead.
Between Parker hitting the cops with his bat and the reluctance the police officers seemed to have for actually shooting at him, he and Egg managed an actually rather clean getaway. Parker glanced back as Egg used a particularly brutal air slash on a growlithe, wondering where his so called superior was.

Not a word more spoken as Parker knocked the man unconscious and leapt out of the window, the baby vulture following close at his heels. An exasperated sigh escaped his lips. Parker was reckless, there was no helping that. The spy would slip a hand into his coat and pull out a flat cap; a minimum disguise of sorts as he slipped it on and followed. Hades wouldn't be too far behind, keeping away any more houndooms off their trail.
Unlike the enforcer, Adrien would stop, scan and try to evade as many officers as he could. Alas, those of them who did manage to corner the man would be struck with a powerful ice beam at their feet meant to only have them back off. And it worked, well, for the most bit until the cops decided to pull the trigger. Shots were fired at him, the Duksnoir's timely intervention with an earthquake the only thing that kept him from acquiring a few deadly bullet wounds. The earth below their feet shook violently and caused enough clamour for the man to slip away.
"I'm surprised you haven't been shot yet," A indifferent voice would snap as the alabaster-haired male approached the bat-wielding maniac. It would be a while before Adrien would meet up with Parker, the flat cap now and Dusknoir now put away. They had lost the cops although getting out of Snowpoint. "Stay put, our ride will be here soon," The spy's head would turn away from his accomplish as he'd survey the streets for signs of suspicious activity.

Parker felt a searing pain in his side dodging one of the cops. It seemed they growed a sudden pair of balls and actually shot at him, leaving a nasty little hole in his side. From the way he twisted and turned and smacked the cop with his bat, the bullet avoided any problem areas and went clean through. Didn't mean it wasn't a total bitch though.
He ignored the pain in his side, feeling it flare with every movement, and pressing his hand to his side momentarily before continuing on. He managed a clean getaway otherwise, and Egg was soon snuggled safely in his arms with the rat at his side still knocked out, but hidden by a few conveniently placed trees.
He hardly glanced over when Adrien showed up again, too focused on how suddenly heavy Egg seemed and how her foot kept poking into his side, causing the pain to flare. He wondered when he'd begun to sweat, but he was used to bullet holes and pain so it wasn't all that bad. He glanced at his superior boredly, yawning obviously and scratching the back of his neck.
"Who says I haven't? Even if I was it's none of your business, and you're clearly fine. You look like you'd bitch and whine a lot if you were shot."
Post by adrien arkwright on Aug 4, 2016 20:21:52 GMT
"Mm?" Adrien snapped his head back when the enforcer growled, now taking a gander at his bleeding side. "Been through much worse," He'd shrug and sigh. It wasn't a lie, those multiple visits to the hopsital weren't for a sprained ankle or broken arm. Getting hit by a cranidos and bitten by an aracanine left mental scars and more prominent physical ones which he wasn't proud of. Either way, it wasn't story time with a man injured.
"It becomes my bussiness if you bleed to death on my watch. Show me, " He'd approach Parker indifferently without showing even a smidgen of disgust or concern, a hand slipping into his coat and pulling out a kerchief. "Apply pressure and take off your shirt", He'd pull out a pokeball - - a slowpoke emerging and daftly looking up at Parker. Despite its slow and sluggish demeanour, the water type was essential in such missions where its ability to use Heal Pulse came in handy. With hands stuffed back into his coat pocket, Adrien would wait for Parker to heed.
"It'll be a while until the car gets here. Let's at least get that blood loss in check, "

Parker immediately stiffened as Adrien approached, taking a cautious step back out of reflex. He really didn't want to heed to anything this idiot said, especially if his shirt was off. Binders flattened him out, but it didn't eliminate the problem. His chest was more visible without the sweatshirt on and the ratty teeshirt underneath would do nothing to hide his worst shame.
"Get away from me. I'm not taking my shirt off I'm fine."
He snarled out. He couldn't do this. His heart hammered in his chest and he gazed down at the slowpoke, in the back of his mind thinking how cute it was even if it did look fucking stupid as hell. Still, his gaze flickered to Adrien and he bared his teeth, taking a few more steps back.
"I'm fine I can take care of myself."
If Adrien really wanted to check him out, he'd have to force it.
