fidel... didn't have a fun childhood.[break][break]
well, that wasn't right. was it? she was born fidelita peligro bolivar. her dad wasn't around when she was a kid. she got in fights with the other kids all the time because they made fun of the fact that her dad wasn't around. she then got in a lot of fights with her mom because she got in fights with the other kids.[break][break]

but there were cool parts. maybe. she basically did whatever she wanted, and she could be out until the sun rose, so she really liked going outdoors. did you know there was a little part in canalave that you could sneak to if you hugged the trees along the river? she found some old used u-turn tm there, and it had the most amazing sunrise.[break][break]

but she digresses![break][break]

she got out a lot. sometimes she'd read, sometimes she'd watch the gym battles, sometimes she'd even visit iron island and check on the miners. sometimes she got in fights and came home with a bloody nose! sometimes she didn't, and just tried to figure out what the whole locked house was about.[break]

her childhood, though shitty, was fun. and her sense of adventure really developed during that time! so did her sense of danger. really, it has to develop, especially after some kid decides that throwing boiling water balloons at you is a fun thing to do. she beat the crap out of that kid later, but burns never did appeal to her after that.[break][break]

in all seriousness, her childhood... it wasn't that great. she really didn't have any parenting. she was self-raised. and she endured attacks, grudges, insults with a clenched jaw and a clenched fist. but fuck it, right? she became strong. she knew how to fight for herself. she became the best she could hope to be from that situation.[break][break]

to make it short, fidel grew up as a rough and tumble kid. she fought people. she sneaked around and solved mysteries. she fought pokemon with her bare fists! and she walked around the entirety of canalave from the ages of six to sixteen.[break]

oh, speaking of sixteen, she should talk about high school. high school was hella fun. she was already known as that one scrapper around the neighborhood, and surprisingly, she went to a really posh high school. everyone was a dick. so she beat them all up. got good grades, too; all that reading helped a lot. and that's it for high school![break][break]

so, coming out of high school, she had a big chest, a bigger personality, and the tendency to talk in all capitals. that last part might have to do with her deep psychological issues, but that's not the point! fidel came out of high school swinging, that's the point![break][break]

now, she decided it'd be radical to go on a pokemon journey. because screw going to college to get a job. anyways, she showed up, and got a scyther. sick shit, man! she sure wished that u-turn tm would work. ah well.[break][break]

i wore envy and i hated that, but i survived

it turned out that... a pokemon journey was more than being cool. as soon as she caught her first pokemon, there was something inside that took away from her nonchalance about life. before, everything was her, her, her. but now? now, she had shit to care about.[break][break]
it took almost losing her pokemon twice and accidentally evolving her pokemon twice for her to begin to understand that. from accidental trades to galactic thefts to miscommunication, fidel endured a different emotional fatigue. shit, this was during her first few gyms, too![break][break]
and they cared for her. they cared for her! they didn't treat her like garbage or anything else. they loved her, respected her. they'd call for help for hours, killing their own throats, just for her. they'd even catch pokemon for her after she tried to battle giant pokemon on her own! so, after a flash of being back in the streets, fidel vowed to never make her pokemon live her life. she cared for them. she loved them. they shouldn't be doing these things with her.
