我是我的魔鬼
CINDERELLA WHO LOST BOTH HER SHOES
Today, Colette actually had a job to do.
The majority of the time, Colette aimlessly wandered around trying to train and catch some new pokemon for the fun of it. She'd never really been interested in battling, and at the same tim had never taken up to participating in contests for herself. It was certainly an appealing route to her, but it was mainly the paranoia of knowing her parents could find her that haunted her so. The dreaded possibility that she would have to return should she be caught by them in the middle of her journey didn't sit well with her. However, had she not agreed to those terms then she would surely still be cooped up in her home in the Kalos region. Her grandparents have told her to retreat back to safety in the region that many call the region of.. Ahem, 'love', but Colette personally didn't mind all the Galactic and Rocket members infecting the streets like parasites. So long as they didn't cause trouble, right? Plus, there were the rangers who handled them. If she could, then she would gladly lend a hand but alas, she didn't think her pokemon were fit for that sort of thing; Neither was she.
Her light foot steps brought the woman inside the pokemon fan club, greeted by the elderly man who ran it. "Hello! It's Colette.. You wanted to ask me something?" Bright blue eyes made contact with the man's figure, he who directed her over to a zither that hadn't been used in quite a while. Personally, Colette was fond of playing instruments just as much as she loved singing. His request involved her using music to maybe play with some of the pokemon on the streets. "You see, we like to have trainers and other pokemon joining in." He explained, pausing before looking over to Mistral who had popped out of her pokeball in a flash of red. "Your Altaria can hum with you as you play. Would you please do this for us?" The man plead. It wasn't very much a hard to fulfill request, and she really didn't see much of a problem so why not? Her smile broadened, and thus was brought outside with the instrument. Behind her was a small trio of baby pokemon - all who looked up to her with expectant eyes.
The young woman laid out a sheet to kneel on the pavement, carefully pressing it down to flatten out the ends. From here, she gently set up the instrument whilst on her knees and began fine tuning it. A few plucks here and there, and it didn't take long for it to make a wonderfully simple sound. Mistral folded up her wings, laying behind Colette so that the trainer could always use her as a comfy cushion of sorts. What would she do without this clouded dragon of hers? The fact that it cared was absolutely adorable, as it prompted out a soft giggle. "Alright, alright. Thank you, Mistral." The Altaria let out a gentle growl in response, smiling rather contently.
But now was the question of what to sing. There were many things she could do, but she may as well try something traditional while she had such a beautiful instrument. That's when it hit her, and her lips curled into a gentle smile. "Ah.. I think I got an idea~" Slender fingers were brought up to her chest level, pressing against the corresponding one on the other hand in delight. "Mistral, would you mind humming with me?" Her eyes looked back on her pokemon gleefully, and began gently plucking certain parts of the string instrument before her. It was a complex instrument, but it wasn't anything she couldn't adjust to. One by one, the notes rang out from the vibration of the strings. Haa.. It sounded so nice. Music to her ears.
Rather than keeping her eyes open, her fingers were doing all the playing. The moment she indulged herself in the playing, she actually ended up blocking out all other noise in the process. Though she could hear Mistral humming along to the modern tune with the traditional twang, her mind was focused on the piece itself rather than her surroundings. It's like she went deaf.
It wasn't long until such a tune attracted the buzzing of pedestrians on the roads. Busy bodies walked on by, while trainers actually stopped to listen to the woman and her oblivious playing. Some people actually stuck around and crowded to listen to her, greeting the baby pokemon who were dancing around happily to the calming yet oddly attractive tune that combined both the use of modernized melodies and yet still retained that olden sound to it. Some trainers even sent out their own pokemon to enjoy the music and play around with the babies. Those adorable things were clapping along to her beat, and things were quite lively right about now. All from a street performance. Huh.
But at least they were having fun.
