Little Princess

She was a princess. Her life was pampered, easy going, and she had a future ahead of her. Born by the sea, Colette was always calm and soft. A shy child, modest and sweet. Her parents absolutely spoiled her, however at the price of her own freedom. Constantly battered under the expectations and the need to improvise to make ends meet.. It got stressful. Piano lessons, vocal lessons, etiquette and academics. Figure skating, public speaking, and even economics and meetings at a later age. She was able to excel in near everything she did, save public speaking. She couldn't raise her voice for the life of her, much to the disappointment of her parents. Nevertheless, the two of them doted on their adorable creation and result of a black haired-blue eyes mix. [break][break]

Her parents were selfish. They were indifferent to those outside, turning a blind eye to those in need. She didn't like that. Every day, when she actually had the chance to go out with her parents, she would drop some money for those who didn't have the finesse to support themselves. It pained her to see people in that state, and yet she was still blind to the horrors of the world. Her parents kept her inside, locked from the world and oblivious to the pains and darkness of it all. She thought that the world was a nice place, that there weren't any conflict, wars and what not. Raised in her little bubble, so intelligent yet so unexperienced. [break][break]

Lake of Emotion

She loved Lake Verity. Her parents in Anistar, but she travelled back to Sandgem with her grandparents; both who were researchers for the professor. In the summer time, she stayed in their cozy cottage while her parents were working, visits usually ranging around a month and a half. Every day, she went to Lake Verity and played with her grandparents' Meganium in the tall grass. So long as Meganium was there, they thought that she would be safe. As precautions, they also sent their Lucario to keep an eye on the peaceful child. The duo absolutely adored her, watching as she weaved out flower crowns for the two pokemon. Spending the majority of her childhood within the heavily industrialized Lumiose and her sheltered home in Anistar, the fresh airs of Sinnoh were always so foreign to her. Although, the only reason why she was even sent to Sinnoh in the first place was because her parents had business in Jubilife in terms of the poke-tech. [break][break]

However, one day, as she was playing by Lake Verity, she slipped and fell into the waters. Lucario and Meganium were unable to save her on time, resulting in a near drowning experience. She kept screaming and clawing at the air, desperately trying to get air in her lungs. Soon enough, her senses dulled and she began passing out within the water. Before she could drown completely, she was hauled up with the help of a ranger who was doing a scout. Colette was then sent to a hospital to recover, but from then on she developed an extreme fear of cliffs, drowning, and deep water. Under that trauma, her parents quickly put her to counselling. Raised to think that nothing bad could ever happen, and near drowning really shook her view. All the fear welled up in her that day, and she became amazingly clingy when around bodies of water. Change of Thought

Colette continued on with this routine, however she took an immense interest in pokemon. She was gentle with all types of pokemon, making her fairly popular with the little creatures. It was around her mid-teenage years where she took up an interest in working with pokemon, rather than ascending to take over their company. Her grandparents were delighted to hear that she wanted to see the world, however her parents had other thoughts. After a hell lot of convincing, talking, and arguing, the three of them came to a compromise. Colette will be allowed to go on her journey, however if she were to ever meet her parents again in the process, then she will have to return to them to take over the company. Basically, if she wanted to continue, she'd have to avoid her parents. They would keep her identity on the down low, and even gave her some money to start off with. Booked her a flight to Sinnoh, and her grandparents would have to help her from there. Before she left, however, they also gave her a bag and a pokeball containing the Swablu she played with when she was younger. [break][break]

By the time she arrived to Sandgem, she was given a pokedex, trainer card, and badge case. For the longest time, she has just been wandering around and learning about her surroundings. Colette picked up the idea of street performing to make money, seeing that she didn't battle all that often as fun as it was. Of course, she made sure that it was fine with Swablu. Sometimes she could be.. A bit too nice. She actually asked the wild pokemon if they wouldn't mind battling with her (and sometimes it would backfire on her if they were hostile). On the journey, she became friends with an injured Scatterbug that she brought to a pokemon centre. After some tagging along, it joined her little journey. While she would like to be a ranger, she was just paranoid that she would meet her parents again should she become a ranger herself. For now, she actually wants to become a nurse. [break][break]
