[attr="class","RoseTea"] ❝ They say life's a waste, I say they lack belief. They tell me luck will travel, I tell them that's why I got feet. Left right left right, moving along to the pulse of a heartbeat. [attr="class","Rose"] [attr="class","Tea"] Adrian Mastry lmk if u need more to work with Veilstone is far from the sprawling metropolis that Jubilife is, but Amelia can't deny --it has a great department store. There's a lot to choose from --she could spend hours and she wouldn't have explored everything in it's entirety.
Amelia passes through the amenities section. She spots the sweaters, running her fingers through the fabric and takes two off the rack. She can't choose between them, and her eyes land on a women nearby with intense red hair. Amelia gently taps her on the shoulder and smiles sheepishly.
"Sorry! But uh, can you help me choose?"
A sweater hangs from each hand, a shade of navy blue and dark red.
"They're pretty but I don't know which one is better."

give it up IT'S THE SAME OLD STORY BUT YOU NEVER GET IT RIGHT When it came to the shopping, Adrian was never one to bring herself to do so excessively. It was a necessary evil of course, but whenever the ginger found herself shopping it was usually only for life necessities before promptly leaving for more important ways to spend her time. Thus it felt strange to find herself at the nearby Veilstone department store for nothing other than buying miscellaneous gifts. After the lunar ball there was a need to buy some treats for her pokemon for their hard work and, since she was already shopping, sending souvenirs back to her parents in Kalos seemed like a reasonable thing to do as well. Casually glancing through the aisles of shelves, her eyes darting about to scour for something of interest, she wouldn't take notice of the shopping woman nearby. At least not until there was a delicate tap placed upon her shoulders as an alert, the ginger's muscles instinctively tensing at the foreign touch as she turned to face whoever it was that wanted her attention for whatever reason. Immediately her gaze was caught by the docile looking blonde that had confronted her foremost with an apology. "Um..." There was no doubt that the green eyed ranger held a rather dumbfounded expression for moment by the abrupt interruption, raising a brow in confusion as the opposing woman presented her with her query. Again, a strange request. It wasn't like she had worked here or anything and hopefully it didn't look as if she was some sort of attendant. Nevertheless the ginger internalized a sigh from her thoughts as she'd give a hesitant nod that mirrored her inflection. "Yeah, I guess." Which was when the woman would take note of the two sweaters in either side of the blonde's hands. The claim of their pretty appearance didn't affect the woman, caring little for the stylistic choice as she purely looked at the colors of the garments. "I'd say the blue one but I don't have much fashion sense," she admitted with a shrug. Thus she'd subsequently point towards the darker red sweater, "It's probably safer to go with the red one."When noone has faith WORDS | | amelia reed | | Was I supposed to post here? |

[attr="class","Rose"] [attr="class","Tea"] Adrian Mastry lmk if u need more to work with The women turns, looking at her with striking green eyes. She's obviously confused by the notion, eyebrows raised. Maybe it was a cultural difference? Amelia thinks. Everyone would've been happy to give their opinions back in Celestic. She does look rather different from people in Sinnoh. Not in a bad way, though.
"Hm, you're right," She says, holding the red one higher. "But blue does look better. Thanks!" She puts both at arms length, and scrutinizes it with enough focus that she could be a fashion designer. With a sigh she puts the red one back, hugging the blue one to her chest. She's tempted to leave after their short interaction, but she can't help but feel curious.
Amelia turns towards the women, eyes lingering on her basket. No clothes or food. Just gifts. Amelia smiles and looks back up at the woman. She wonders if she wanted company at all.
"Hi, I'm Amelia. Are you shopping for someone...?"

give it up IT'S THE SAME OLD STORY BUT YOU NEVER GET IT RIGHT The thoughtful statement made by the blonde earned no response from the ginger, the woman staring nonchalantly as the respective sweater was lifted upwards for inspection. It didn't quite matter to her one way or the other what was selected and thus after surprisingly affirming her opinion that the blue looked better, she'd shrug once the blonde turned away to return the other sweater. "No problem, I guess." Though she was still skeptical of whether she made the right choice by listening to her initial selection, but again that didn't matter much to her. Assuming that the blonde had been satisfied, Adrian turned back to the bobbles in front of her and scrutinizes them for a second before once again her thoughts were broken by the feminine voice once again. Blinking, emerald eyes shifted into a sideways glance at the strange woman that now introduced herself to which led the commissioner to sigh on impulse. It reminded her of home in some ways, the people of Kalos known for being abundantly friendly and in some ways intrusive, which was a somewhat comforting thought to say the least. Despite being a native of Kalos, the ginger wasn't like that at all nor did she enjoy that aspect of Kalos natives but the reminder of home was a welcome one. Perhaps that was why the redhead didn't immediately blow off the stranger named Amelia and continue on her way. "Adrian," she'd say to return the brief introductions. It was then that the woman lowered the basket in her hands and turned fully to face the other woman. While she hardly felt the reason or the need to answer the unnecessary question about her current shopping trip, the nostalgia she felt compelled her to respond. "Yeah, I'm just buying gifts for my family and such."
