If Galactic was indeed the criminal organization the authorities had deemed it to be, then tonight's heist would only serve to justify their beliefs. Because tonight, Oreburg Research Facility was set to be the target of a lesser known and more personal project of one of the Galactic Admins. Tonight, Adrien Arkwright would personally superivse a rather dubious mission. Donning a trench coat to combat the cold, the cobalt-haired male's footsteps would resound from within the facility where a plethora of Galactic members had managed to infiltrate. With guards having been dealt with and the most alarms silenced, the Galactic admin had the grunts scour through the facility for a certain artifact meant to be aid Galactic and, moreover, Adrien himself.
A new artifact excavated from the depths of the wastelands had been making headlines. It concerned the possible summoning of a few legendaries and the Galactic admin wasn't about to let such a rumoured treasure be rendered useless at the hands of zealous scientists. It would be then that a grunt would approach Adrien as a bearer of bad news. A few words would be relayed onto the admin causing a frown to surface on his lips. "Find him," Ordered with exasperation expressed adequately in his inflection. While the rangers had yet to discover this little heist, it seemed some sort of 'hero' had already caught whiff of these plans and was taking out a few grunts on his own.
Troublesome. It things got out of hand, Adrien had nary a choice but to deal with the threat himself. But for now, he'd trust his men to deal with it.
From the few places in all of Sinnoh where technology and scientific converged, this was one of those places. Athena would never miss out on the chance of visiting such a location unhindered by law, or by its researchers. She was somewhat curious about the kind of scientists the ORF would hire, but it was of minor interest.
Today, she’d be working with another Admin, whose name was as infamous as Aster. The man in charge today was almost, if not completely, similar to the other admin in terms of appearance and maybe personality? She would find out soon.
Athena wasn’t too far behind Adrien, considering her position, she would not bother him until he called her out, and that was, if he knew who she was at all. The scientist focused instead on making sure imbeciles mistreating machinery were properly scarred for life, enough to regret ever doing so in the presence of the scientist.
She quickly cleared out any grunt who was not careful enough with their equipment, or did not know how to use a computer. Then, the scientist noticed how most grunts were backing off into other parts of the research, but shrugged and sat into one of the computers. “Now, let’s to get to some real work. I wonder what this fortress of information holds secret from the rest of the world…”
With her own personal laptop, Athena quickly hacked into the main server of the facility and begun extracting all the information she could get. It would take some time before it would finish, so she left her laptop to work on it’s own, and started yelling at grunts who may or may have not broken some very precious technology.
She dealt with idiots on a daily basis, but they were getting on her nerves today more than ever.
Oreburgh’s winds are cold, spurring Johnny to don a suede cloak; the heart of the city’s research facility, however, was about to heat up, especially if he had anything to say about it.
The guards, woefully unprepared through no fault of their own for the assault the facility would suffer, were either neutralized or otherwise incapacitated. The scientist themselves are not trainers, and their pokemon, far more accustomed to lab assistance than serious battling, were outmatched. When the small squad of galactic grunts finally reach the area that Johnny is in, he makes quick enough work of them and their pokemon. Unbeknownst to the hero, the sudden lack of communication from said squad has alerted the rest of the organization to his interference.
They’re looking for him. But that’s fine. He’s looking for them too.
Speaking of looking, the cause of the attack seems obvious enough. The new artifact that the facility had uncovered had been making headlines, and team galactic’s M.O. made the dots easy enough to connect. The solution also seemed simple. Johnny had to grab the artifact before they did. The only real trouble was finding it.
Breaking down the door to the nearest room is an exercise in brute force. Johnny’s Emboar charges through it with a take down, surprising the grunts on the inside. ”Cesaro, you know what to do.” The not-so-subtle entrance is a lead in for his Scizor to do its work; A couple of the nearest grunts are physically knocked out one-by-one by the pokemon’s repeated use of aerial ace.
Johnny, standing behind his pokemon, is focused solely on taking down any costumed lackey he can see until closer inspection of the invaders reveals a familiar face.
”What in the hell…” He mutters to himself ”Athena?” He says her name incredulously, and loud enough for her to hear; an utterance of recognition, and a demand for explanation.
They say life's a waste, I say they lack belief. They tell me luck will travel, I tell them that's why I got feet. Left right left right, moving along to the pulse of a heartbeat.
Amelia had somewhat of a knack for getting herself into trouble. Her childhood, although sheltered and relatively gentle, had attracted an interesting array of friends. Her renunions with everyone had shown Amelia what the real world had in store for her.
And she hated it.
She arrives late to the facility, evidence of destruction had already taken place. The unconscious body of grunts and scientists lay in front of the building, and she pushes down the urge to flee at such a sight. She doesn't understand how people could be so cruel, to injure others in favor of their own twisted goals. Amelia swallows her lingering sympathies and vows to help them later, when everything was over.
She steps over their still bodies, following the path of conflict. Amelia deals with a fair amount of grunts herself --her Mawile makes quick work of them, especially with her intimidate. She returns her pokemon after in favor of mobility, and makes her way through the maze of halls. It's a big building, and she's never been in here before.
Amelia turns the corner, eyes catching upon the navy hair and eyepatch. She'd known that he'd had been in Galactic, but to see him in the flesh, trenchcoat wrapped around his shoulders, looking more like a villian than a friend --it made her want to throw up. Amelia swallows the lump in her throat. He's probably seen and heard her, and she doesn't want to fight. She wills herself to run, but her feet refuse to move.
If she were a more courageous person, a hero, she'd at least attempt to try and fight him. Because he's a bad guy, and it's what they deserve.

Athena Elder had proven herself to be one of the more exceptional mind that the Galactic research department had to offer. From the thickheaded bunch that tunnel-minded their efforts onto Cyrus's sole motive, Adrien, upon recommendation, had chosen the raven-haired young woman to accompany him. Twas supposed to be a simple mission concerning the newly excavated artifact and of course, any vital intel the facility possessed would also be extracted for the Galactic cause.
A simple he thought, that is, until a flame-headed idiot caused the Admin's mission to incur losses he had otherwise weaved around. As grunts scrambled about to neutralize the threat, the room Adrien had been inspecting would empty out. Spending a few minutes scourging the room for articles of interest, it wouldn't be long before the man would come across a few tablets. They weren't the ones he was looking for but the inscriptions upon there garnered his intrigue, nonetheless.
A feminine voice would soon address him as he inspected the tablets, causing the man's ears to perk him whilst still focused on his findings. "Yes, Athena?" He'd absentmindedly answer before quietly turning his head to the source. Brows would immediately furrow at the sight of blond threads in lieu of the expected coal ones. His expression, once relaxed, turned more severe. "Amelia?!" His inflection denoted utter disbelief with a hint of worry. Of all the people, why was it her? And how did she get in her?
Brisk footsteps sounded as he'd attempt to approach her, a hand by his coat pocket and ready to pull out a pokeball should the need to restrain her arose.
[attr="class","athenatemplate3"]Athena’s ears twitched when she heard her name… not once, but twice.
[break][break] Commotion behind her as she fixed some of the computers in the lab grew to annoying levels. Did they not comprehend the meaning of fineness? For the love of…
[break][break] The scientist’s thoughts stopped all together as a familiar red head, standing behind an Emboar and a Scizor, met her steel cold glare. “And this is what happens when you play the hero…” She rubbed her temples as she approached Johnny, though kept a distance just in case any of the Grunts questioned the nature of their relationship. “What are you doing here, Johnny? Don’t you have some chick to fuck tonight?” The words would probably add salt to his exposed injury. It was clear in his expression that he needed an explanation. “If you want answers… then let us capture you quietly, without resistance. Then, I’ll answer any questions you want.” The promise was as empty as her gaze. She had not intention of honoring that promise, considering the little return she would get. Needless to say, crowd control was needed. She snapped her fingers, and a wall of grunts surrounded Johnny from every possible side. “No one engage him just yet. Break any computers and you’ll know how if feels to lose your humanity.”
[break][break] Athena couldn't wait for Johnny's response. If he screamed or lashed out, Athena had already sorted her priorities. She turned and approached Adrien, but he seemed busy. It seemed something else had taken his attention however, which made the scientist quite curious.
[break][break] With Johnny probably subdued, Athena had plenty of time to be elsewhere. Like looking over her boss’s shoulders to see who or what could make him sound so agitated. It was some blonde woman, and as she leaned sideways, side stepping to Adrien’s right, she peered to look at his facial expression. He didn’t even noticed Athena’s presence as the man approached Amelia, if that was her name,
[break][break] So she wasn’t the only one with life getting in the way of work. Success on this mission was imperative, but her curiosity would eventually supercede everything else. Athena would have to do some crowd control here too. “ Sir Adrien, as much as I would love to take care of things in my head… the certain him you’re looking has been found. I just need your approval to take him as our tes sub- I mean, prisoner…” Once she finished her piece, she raised an eyebrow at the woman. “And this is… an acquaintance of yours?”
