Calypso Barnes. Eyes quietly studied her file, one which was brought to him in the absence of her assigned admin. She was young, beautiful and capable but alas apparently wanted to resign just a short while after joining. Usually it wouldn't concern Adrien, the man wouldn't blink twice in processing a file and disposing of what he deemed to be as trash. But this file had piqued his interest for a number of reasons, one being a rather negligible detail -- her hometown. Calypso was apparently a Floaroma town native and one that had joined after the destruction of the same.
So either she was a spy or there was something else up. Whatever it was, Adrien Arkwright now refused to let the matter just slide. Seeing as how the coup was upcoming, any sort of outside threat had to be nullified one way or the other. Money was one way to keep people from talking, leverage another. And when all failed, the enforcers would use more...persuasive means to get their point across.
The cobalt-haired male hoped it wouldn't get that far, he wasn't keen on brutality. Seated behind his desk in his office, the man would be going through the file again when someone would rap on his door. His uncovered eye flickered upward and at the door. That should be the woman he had summoned. "Come in," He'd respond casually and reclined back in his chair.
This should be fun.

[attr="class","heard"]Cut out her eyes, leaving her blind wouldn't be such a bad idea. As soon as she was allowed to enter, did she feel an ominous chill in the air. She knew this wasn't going to be an easy fight to win, especially with it concerns this man and his bag of tricks all up in his sleeves. She's not changing her mind on leaving the organisation. Too much bad blood running through her as she remembered how much she wanted to strangle, or possibly even murder someone. Stepping through the door, she looked at the man. Her expression was blank in case it brought out the ugly with her. " There's nothing you can offer to change my mind sir, I want to leave Team Galactic." She was determined to get out of the wretched organisation that burned down her hometown. " I have no purpose and I don't agree with the Galactic oath at all, I'd rather resign now than later." If she could find the bodies of her parents back in Floaroma, perhaps she would be at ease with herself. adrien arkwright[newclass=.heard b]font-weight:bold;color:#005B82;[/newclass]

An austere gold eye scanned the woman who entered, her blank expression caused him to wonder whether she was aggravated or nervous. And then she spoke up instantly, apparently aware of the reason of this meeting. Smart, but incorrect. Lips pulled taut into an amused smile at her cold and stoic response. "I understand. But that's not what I called you here for Miss. Barnes," Spoken casually as a hand extended to the plush chair across his desk. "Take a seat." He'd instruct, although whether or not she complied he'd continue. Convincing someone to stay when they didn't agree to Galactic's ideals was futile and useless, someone who didn't care wouldn't be an effective addition to the cause. But this wasn't about persuading her to stay, this was about why she joined.
His gaze settled on her petite visage, briefly scanning it before he'd speak up. "I won't beat beat around the bush. Why'd you join Galactic, Miss Barnes?" His head would lean on an outstretched finger as his elbow rested upon the armrest. Why, indeed. Her motives were definitely not aligned with that of Galactic, but what brought about this sudden change of heart? The man had a fair idea, although he wanted to hear it from her lips themselves. Eyes lowered to the file on the table. Picking it up he'd scan through it once more before eyes glanced upward at her. "Family problems?" The hint an obvious one.

[attr="class","heard"]So it appeared she was in the wrong. Unpredictable was not the very word to explain the instances which arose. She was only here for one thing and it was to get herself out. Maybe she should have taken Liam's offer to run away and never turn back. She wasn't needed here anyways, since she has barely done anything to help out the organisation. Her eyes look at him with uncertainty. Where was he going with all of this? Complied to the offer, she took a seat in front of his desk. Arms rested on the armrest as she listened to him. What offer and what did he plan to do? " Is that really any of your business on why I joined?" she asked. Still unsure of where this was going. What direction he was aiming for. " I was young and foolish..." What struck her was when he mentioned 'family problems'. There should be nothing in her files about her family problems. She was the good girl her parents wanted to be, despite her keeping a secret from going to those underground galactic recruit meetings. What made her mind up was when the person she liked joined and she followed right after. Only when she was abandoned by the person she loved, did she only see herself as a fool once more. " And as I said earlier, is there any of your business to know why I joined?" She was suspicious of the man now. adrien arkwright[newclass=.heard b]font-weight:bold;color:#005B82;[/newclass]
