give it up
IT'S THE SAME OLD STORY BUT YOU NEVER GET IT RIGHT
This time around it would be the ginger's turn to pout, dropping the subject about Amity altogether at declaration of his victory. "You're lucky you're cute..." she'd murmur softly as if ceding to the fact that he had won. The woman knew herself to be a sore loser and it wasn't often that she was found on the losing end of an argument. That said she seemed to be relishing in defeat more often than not these days when it came to Adrien and at that she realized she would have to pick her battles lest she continually fall to his whims. Thus when it came to something like this where she knew what her heart desired, she'd cling to it above her duty because that was already what she had decided to do. The fact that she was even allowed to remain in Adrien's arms and given a place in his heart, she'd consider it a win regardless.
She wouldn't voice those thoughts, not yet, as he had begun going through places in Veilstone. The first suggestion was one she'd hum with bemusement and mild interest, taken aback by the forward approach he had taken to inviting her to his apartment after only establishing this relationship of theirs. For a moment she wondered how often this occurred for Arkwright before he'd subvert it with adding information on a spare bedroom. At this she scoffed, having no intention of resting anywhere but his couch even if that were the case had that been their destination.
Still remarkably bold though.
Taking note to the shift of his gaze in thought and the moderate pause being made in the process, the ranger could tell that the Veilstone suggestion was primarily for his apartment. She'd shake her head at the new suggestions, getting the picture he was trying to make. It didn't matter where they go and Adrian couldn't help but be amused by his efforts. It was so cute. Nevertheless once she had been prompted, that was when the normally responsible commissioner of the rangers caved. "You win... but only because I love you," she'd admit affectionately for the second time this evening, resisting the urge to ask for another display of his deft affections all the while. Had it been anyone else, there was no way she would have agreed and she hoped that he knew that luck was on his side. "Let me tell Fantina and my pokemon, then we can go wherever you want."
That was only fair to the host and her pokemon, allowing the rest of the rangers to be in charge of the clean up afterwards. Though she said that, the ranger would make no effort or indication to move; her arms still cling around Adrien's neck to hold him ever so closely to her. The desire to remain in the security of his arms for as long as possible caused her to linger there despite her agreement to leave with the golden eyed devil. Thus she wouldn't actually move an inch from this spot unless Adrien had made the first move, releasing her first from that charm of his, waiting patiently for that to happen while dreading it all the while.
