give it up IT'S THE SAME OLD STORY BUT YOU NEVER GET IT RIGHT Suddenly Arkwright was in a hurry to leave the room. Even from where Adrian was sitting she could tell that the man's face was losing color. He'd share a few words with the blonde as Adrian watched him grab onto the unknown man's wrist and being resisted in the process. It takes a moment for the words being said by the blonde man in response to the question she posed to be registered in her mind. Once she realized it, she paused. "... Wait."A frown appeared on her lips. "Wait a fucking minute." Her tone sounded to be getting increasingly angry and aggressive. Her brows furrowed inwards to show that flash of fury etched on her face. "You're actually dating someone? It had taken a single day - not even the full day - to have Adrian on the edge. Now she could have messed with him the same way that he had made fun of her. At injured as her pride had been she very well could have continued the sickening act of playing his wife. It would have hurt her, maybe more than it hurt him, but that was not the path she chose. Instead the woman got even more heated with the present situation. Right as the medic had finished dressing up the burn, Adrian had taken it upon herself to stand from her seat on the hospital bed. She'd approach Arkwright and generally ignore the other man present despite his ranger uniform telling her otherwise. "You’re telling me that someone, this fucking saint of a person, agreed to go out with you. Dated you for who knows how long and you were still flirting with other people!?" Her hand was clenched at her side.

Adrien held his breath in when Jason spoke up regardless and pushed his hand away, seemingly already able to sense the situation. It didn't help that he was getting heated about it either. Significant Other. The spy closed his eyes and sighed - of all the ways he could've introduced himself - Ranger, patient, officer he chose the word 'significant other.' No doubt, his boyfriend was suspicious. At this point, the Arkwright didn't want to look at either of them with the situation spiraling in a terrible direction.
"Jason...listen," A more calmer voice was used as he'd turn to try and explain alas was cut off when Mastry's voice bellowed from behind, Adrien nearly flinching at it. Well, fuck. The man reluctantly turned to the approaching woman, her choice of words causing further misunderstandings. "Hey now!" He'd try to cut her off, although his more calmer voice couldn't compete with Adrian's more louder and aggressive intonation. It didn't help that they were attracting attention near the doorway either.
Embarrassing didn't begin to describe it.
"Mastry! I don't flirt with everyone..." His voice was raised a little although lacked the aggressive or anger the woman held. "I was just pulling you leg, damn. I didn't even touch you," Despite keeping his temper in check, the man couldn't help but get defensive. Very much so seeing how both Jason and Adrian were rather hotheaded. And so alike...
Turning to the man, he'd try to toss his defense there and shrugged his shoulders. Surely, Jason knew better. "Jason, com'on. You know me, just...playful banter?"

| "What," Jason snaps. He tries to keep the anger out of his voice, but it's still obviously not contained. Adrien starts, but the woman suddenly speaks up, her voice more loud and aggressive than even Jason's. The disbelief in her voice is staggering, and now he's sure that Adrien either omitted or simply lied over that piece of information.
Something that Jason wanted Adrien to take more seriously.
He's angry, but not as much as the woman in front of him. Upon closer inspection he recognizes her as a ranger from the base. Adrian. She's known to be straightforward and blunt, and he's glad to suddenly have her on his side.
He's far from a saint. But the point still stands. Jason isn't most jealous person out there, but he hates it when Adrien flirts with other people. Jason runs a strained hand through his hair -- Adrien had gotten defensive. There's some truth to what she'd said.
"That didn't sound like playful banter. But we'll talk about it when we get out."
He sighs, frustrated. Normally he'd try to argue back with Adrien, but today Adrian's here. He wouldn't like to bring such personal affairs into public view. With her wound treated and bandaged, they can get out quickly. At this, Jason motions for her to calm down, willfully ignoring Adrien's presence.
"Sorry about him. He's...not always like this."

give it up IT'S THE SAME OLD STORY BUT YOU NEVER GET IT RIGHT When Adrien began to talk back to her, not in a childish teasing way, but rather in an attempt to defend himself the woman scoffed. Even when her last name was spoken it had been brushed off and almost completely overlooked. It was an obvious indicator that the blonde man was not lying and that the two were in fact dating. Now there was no issue with that in the ginger's eyes. In fact it shocked her more than anything that anyone - man or woman - in their right mind would date Arkwright. She didn't care about the scene that they were making at the moment - her rage blinding her to the prying eyes of the rest of the hospital. After a moment the blue haired man would not even address her any longer and turn to the ranger named Jason. The woman felt as if she heard that name prior to this meeting but that mattered little at this very moment. The blonde did not appear pleased with the situation either and he shouldn't have been. Some of Adrian's anger was on his behalf after all. Yet at the end of the day he took the situation well - much better than herself. There were even attempts to dissuade her and apologize for Arkwright for one reason or another which made her look like she was in the wrong. She was baffled. How could he be defending him? Her emerald eyes would stare at Jason for some time to discern if he was serious. If there was some inkling in his body that told her that he was not okay with this. His saintly reaction had some effect on the woman. For the moment it would have seemed to work. Taking a step back and releasing a breath to cool her head. "Don’t stop me. I’m doing this for you just as much as I’m doing it for me." These words were to Jason as she wanted to make sure he knew where she was coming from. Without wasting another second the woman would turn abruptly to swing her already clenched fist into Adrian's face. Taking that into stride she began walking towards the exit doorways. Maybe she shouldn't have done that with the other ranger standing right there and the hospital staff gathered but there was no regret. She wasn't sorry and she wasn't going to be made to say she was.
