Truthfully, Adler cannot even remember his real parents anymore. When he still a toddler they had been bystanders caught in the crossfire of a gang fight, and they were both dead on arrival at the hospital. Since then, Adler has been in the system, moving among multiple foster homes throughout the years. Some were definitely better than others, but none of them really felt like a home. Around fifteen he opted to abandon them altogether, preferring to take his chances out on the streets on his own. By then he was already jaded to a lot of the hardships in life, having endured beatings from both foster parents and other children. The main thing that got to him was the plethora of drug use, which he vehemently avoided.

Finding safety in numbers, the teen gravitated towards the gangs around the city, though he typically just did his work and then went about his own business. For quite some time, he had been rolling around with another in a similar position to his own, Parker. Eventually they parted ways and he didn’t think much of it, not one to get attached to others. He was wondering hired muscle for a while, doing pretty much any job if it paid enough. Always he was meticulous and careful with his work, rather commonly refusing work if he thought there was a good chance he couldn’t get away clean. He always played it safe, rather than being an adrenaline junkie like a lot in his sort of business.

Recently he has gotten mixed up with Team Galactic, the allure of being able to advance in the operation of organized crime too good to pass up. Their cause strikes home with him as well, as he shut himself down emotionally during childhood, for the most part. He actually believes that they’re right, that the world would be a better place without emotions getting in the way to muddle things. Typically he’s very cold towards people, and it’s rather difficult to gain his trust. But once he opens up to someone, in almost any measure, they’ve found a loyal ally in him.
