witness reports from all over the region has been flooding in about strange happenings at the three lakes. what's more perplexing is that these occurrences seem to be happening spontaneously at the lakes. just moments ago, a burst of light erupted at the locations and residents in the vicinity have reported that the lake-side pokemon have turned aggressive and attack on sight.
However, there have been rumours and sightings of the legendary lake trio which has had trainers flocking in from all over the region.
It had been a few weeks since the tall woman had returned home. After the whole fiasco with the bar fight and the subsequent jail time, Ophelia hadn't exactly wanted to come home. Her small apartment had remained unchanged, save for the spoiled food that now stunk up the kitchen. The city itself had remained unchanged, although Ophelia had felt that she had been away for years. She couldn't shake the ever present feeling of de ja vu and sitting around in her TV-less apartment only added the woman's unease. Before long, she found herself restless and needing a drink.
It didn't take long for her to fall back into her usual habits either. Despite a bar being the reason she had ended up in jail less than a month ago, she found her feet carrying her back onto the side streets of Jubilife into the less wealthy part of the city. Ophelia had always preferred these kinds of bars. She felt the people were more real, the fake happiness from the well off in her home city had always disgusted her.
The sun had set over an hour ago and the stars sparkled above her head, if the woman had bothered to look up and past the high rises that surrounded her. The air was humid, stagnant from the lack of wind from earlier in the day.
Ophelia walked emerged from a side street, having walked onto one of the more main streets. Along the sides of the road were small shops and restaurants, already closed for the evening. A single bar across the road was brightly lit with neon signs.
Crossing the street, Ophelia entered the bar. It was one she hadn't frequented much simply because the crowd here was rougher. It was also one that wouldn't recognize her. Despite her tough exterior, she didn't wish to recount the awful night she had spent in jail. Coming to a place that didn't know her was the only way she could keep her mistakes hidden.
The place wasn't too busy just yet. The usual crowds didn't start filling the room until later. Having her pick of seats, Ophelia chose to sit in the middle of the bar, keeping quite a few chairs between herself and the other patrons.
The bar tender walked over, eyeing her up in down like a dog looking at a bone. Ophelia's face twisted into one of disgust, just in time for the bartender to finally look up. "What can I get ya, lady?" He asked, adding a wink.
Opehlia took a moment to bite her tongue. She did not need to get herself kicked out or back in jail. Although the idea of punching the man was almost too good to stifle. Taking a deep breathe, she forced a strained smile. "Two shots of fireball, please." She said, doing her best to keep her voice even, despite the scowl of disgust slowly creeping onto her face.
The man nodded, shooting another blatantly obvious glance at her chest before turning to prepare her drinks. Once he returned, he placed the two shots just out of reach. "I'm going to need a number to start a tab." He cooed, leaning over the counter.
"Sure, darling." She said, equally leaning over the bar and laying her chin in her hands, "It's one, eight hundred... Go fuck yourself?"
The bar tender laughed heartily, pushing the shots towards the woman. "We've got a feisty one!" He cheered loudly for the other patrons to hear as he walked away.
Ophelia grabbed one shot and quickly downed it. So much for a relaxing break from her life.
Bars always had girls in them, but the ritzy bars were quick to empty Rajendra's pockets. Not only that, but they weren't really all that interested in the guys anyway. They mostly just used them for free drinks, and didn't pursue anything further than that. Raj wasn't going to waste his time trying to mingle with rich, privileged girls who valued money above most everything else.
So he wandered into a more modest bar, just in time to hear the bartender utter something to them all about a 'feisty one'. He looked to the girl sitting in the direction he moved away from, and was quick to move and take a seat facing her. Raj then waved down the server and asked for a drink of his own. "I'll have a whiskey sour." He didn't once avert his gaze from the lady, however. Instead he rest his elbow against the table, and propped his palm under his chin, staring at her silently with a dreamy look on his face.
Only after a few moments of taking in her pleasant features did he say anything to her. "You have a name?" Coming to know someone by their first name was always a good start when it came to building relations with a stranger, which he certainly had the intention of doing. "I'm Raj." Now that he gave her his own name, it was only courteous that she'd return the favor. Though maybe she wasn't the type? Perhaps she was selfish? Maybe even reclusive? Some ladies just liked to have a drink somewhere that wasn't home. But surely Raj could sway her into making a "friend"?

Ophelia had downed her second shot when she heard the bell above the door jingle as someone entered. The woman didn't care to see who came through, as she had no mind to find someone for the evening, she had come here solely for herself. Even if it meant dealing with a bartender who she had to watch make her drinks for fear of something being slipped into them.
Of course, those plans were dashed when the person who had entered moments earlier had taken a seat right next to her. Ophelia's irritation at everything once again grew, the two shots sitting in her relatively empty stomach did nothing to help that. Perhaps they would go away if she paid them no mind? Ophelia stared intently at the empty shot glass in front of her, sliding it slowly back and forth between her hands and make a very conscious effort of not looking up.
Ophelia wasn't exactly surprised when that didn't work. It usually never did. She slowly turned her head towards the person who had sat next to her and plastered on a very strained smile. Her green eyes did a very slow and pointed once-over, sizing up the man before her. He was cute, the woman could happily admit to that, however she was in no mood to play with cute things who often times only had the sexual appeal she craved and none of the brains.. Still, he had persisted. "O." Ophelia replied, "My name is O."
The woman had made a habit of not giving out her real name in the past few years. With her current situation, both a new Galactic member as well as recently being in the local paper for assault, she wasn't keen on being recognized.
She returned to staring intently at her empty shot glass, hoping he would take the hint. This was when the bartender returned, dropping of Raj's drink. Ophelia looked over, smelling strong odor of whiskey. She turned her head, eyes lighting up. Perhaps this stranger wasn't just a pretty boy like she had originally thought. It was a girly drink in presentation but a strong one at that. "Whiskey sour, huh? Guess you're not the worst person to sit next to me." Ophelia said coldly. Raising her hand, she waved down the bartender. "One of those for me." She said, once again ignoring his wolfish grin.
The bartender returned quickly, dropping off her drink. This time he looked at Raj. "Good luck with this 'un." He said, pointing at Ophelia who had to bite her tongue to keep from reaching out and planting her fist square into face.
Ophelia took an angry swig of her drink, her knuckles white from the hard grip she had on her glass. "Nevermind him." Ophelia said to Raj as the man walked off chuckling to himself, "All he's good for is making drinks and shitty remarks. Now... What brings you to such a luxury bar?" She asked, her last two words laced with venom. If she was stuck with conversing with Raj, she may as well ask his intentions.
She certainly was every bit as feisty as the bartender noted. The girl even seemed to judge a guy buy the things he drank, though seemed content with his beverage of choice. She even went as far as to order the same. "What can I say? I have good taste." His smile only grew, allowing the hand propped against his chin to lay down against the table, his other hand taking hold of the whiskey and bringing it to his lips so he could drink a third of it's contents before choosing to set it back down with a subtle clinking sound against the table.
"Though isn't my being here kind of obvious? Why else would a stranger sit next to you at a bar, of all places?" His hand played up and down the length of his glass. "It's like I said. I have good taste." His glance turned to something more of a leer, though a playful one at that. He didn't pay much attention to the name she'd given. Obviously 'O' was playing hard to get. Though she at least seemed to play along, instead of remaining silent. He was grateful for that much. Everyone else in here was boring.
"Never mind the bartender..." His voice was gentle as he dismissed discussing the man further. While they wished him good luck, Raj didn't care to talk about another guy. He wanted to talk about O. "Let's hear your real name. I'm not going anywhere unless it's with you." His smile widened, and to hide it Raj was quick to take another drink.

i'm here to tell ya honey, that i'm bad to the bone.
@RAJENDRA SINGH Since we aren't using pokemon, I don't think an updated posting template would matter. Also, I kinda ran out of steam halfway through. "orz Apologies for kinda not giving you a ton to reply to. Feel free to ramp up the flirting and/or touching so she can start getting violent.
Ophelia couldn't help but raise her eyebrows in mild shock. She had expected the man had sat down next to her for the exact reason, but she still couldn't seem to hide her surprise at how brazen she was. Perhaps he wouldn't be a bore after all.
Her drink was delivered, the bar tender actually doing his job without adding in some sort of comment. Perhaps he had finally realized the woman wasn't in the mood to play games with him. Perhaps her new companion was useful as more than just a piece of eye candy and a conversation.
Taking a sip of her drink, the woman considered her next move. It was clear that Raj wasn't buying the fake name, nor was he taking the hint she wasn't exactly inclined to give it. A brief moment of anxiety welled inside her, what if he was a police officer? What if Team Galactic hadn't actually dropped the charges after all and this man was out to get her.
Taking another side long glance at the man, she quickly shook off the paranoia. He was a pretty boy who was looking for one thing. "Fine, you got me. Ophelia's the name." She said, putting down the glass and offering her hand as a greeting.
Once that was all said and done, she took another swig of the whiskey sour. It was potent, no doubt about it. Her first two shots had begun to go to her head anyway. She felt the tension from the bartender's remarks slowly ebbing away.
Ophelia leaned forward and rested her elbows on the bar, playing with a strand of hair between in her fingers. "So Raj..." Ophelia said in a sultry voice, "Good taste is coming to these kinds of places for women, huh?" She teased. Of course, she was here, wasn't she?

Finally Ophelia gave her name, allowing Raj to feel a sense of ease and releif overcome him. "Pleased to meet you." Rajendra said as he gently shook her hand, watching the lady begin to lean forward and play with her hair after taking a drink. Then she asked Raj about his 'good taste', almost mocking his preference with this bar. She wasn't wrong to.
"Eh. I could do better than to come to this bar." He smirked, however, at what he was going to say next. "It's you who I meant. You're quite lovely to look at, you know." He paused and took a quick swig of his own drink. "Most pretty girls are boring, at least until they're in bed. But you don't strike me as boring." His eyes wandered down along her body for a moment. "But if you want to get away from guys like me and the bartender, why come to a bar? I'm curious." He looked her deep in the eyes, captured by how they popped in this dim lighting. "Are you trying to get away from something at home?"
Most girls liked to talk. They liked to feel as though their problems mattered. If this were the case, it'd be easy to oblige. Though there was always the chance he was wrong.

@RAJENDRA SINGH tldr version; black widows aren't real in pokemon and are myths because that makes sense. Also, I actually had a whiskey sour this evening. I had to google what it was when Raj ordered it and when I saw it on the menu today when I went out I had to get it. They're yummy.
Ophelia paused for a moment as she considered how she would reply to the insinuation she was good in bed. Raj wasn't wrong, Ophelia admitted to herself. But she sure as hell wouldn't give him the satisfaction of knowing that. "Have you ever heard of the legendary black widow?" Ophelia asked, referencing an old wives tale she had heard back in school, "How she kills her mate once she's done with it...?" Ophelia asked, trying to sound as innocent as possible and ending her sentence with a wink. She returned his once-over in an obvious manner. "I think you would be delicious."
However, his next comment threw her off guard. He wasn't off the mark at all. Had she been showing it somehow in her face or her words? A flash of anger welled up inside her at herself and the man's ability to read her. Perhaps it was the alcohol that caused her already violitale temper to flair, but she could already feel her cheeks beginning to burn.
Ophelia downed the rest of her drink, ignoring the slice of orange and cherry that lay under the ice. The familiar warming sensation overcame her as the liquid settled in her stomach. Again she paused to consider her next reply. "Rather presumptuous, don't you think Raj?" She asked, the previous flirty hint in her words now gone. "Perhaps you're right. I came here to avoid another overly curious boy," She said, her tone mocking at the word 'boy,' "And yet here I am, finding myself another one."
With that, she turned to face the bar, hoping he would get the hint. The reaction was a bit strong, and Ophelia would later blame the quickness in which she had drunk, but for now all of her previous problems seemed to bubble up in her head and caused impulsive anger to guide how she thought.
So he was right...and Ophelia didn't like it one bit. First she said something close to a playful threat, and then she just openly resorted to dubbing him nothing more than a 'boy' of sorts. "Struck a chord, have I?" Raj was good at that. Even when he didn't want to be. He stood, positioning his chair closer to Ophelia so that her gaze would once again have him in it. "Can you really blame me? I can't help I like what I see." He tried to calm her with more flattery. She may not like his advances, but most girls didn't, so he became a bit more persistent just to see where it lead him.
"What's this other boy like? Is he important to you?" Raj wanted to know, just in case he was treading on another man's territory. He was desperate to pursue her, but not enough to try and taker Ophelia from another man who already had a claim to stake on her. "If you're in a relationship, excuse what I have said thus far. I didn't see a ring on your finger so I assumed you weren't..." He tried to apologize, though was only so good at it. "I've always been one to be sweet on a girl from the start."
TAG:Ophelia Ellsworth NOTE: YES! I have drank whiskey on it's own, but a whiskey sour is just so much more enjoyable! Glad you tried something new and liked it~

i'm here to tell ya honey, that i'm bad to the bone.
@RAJENDRA SINGH I even took a picture! Next to my other obnoxiously large drink. ~ Would you like to control the bouncer throwing them out now? You've got my permission to have Ophelia manhandled and tossed outside.
Once again the man had read perservered onwards. Ophelia couldn't blame him, she had lied. Her plan had back fired, instead of scaring the man off, it had only drawn him closer. Close enough for Ophelia to feel the heat from his body. Her eyebrow twitched, her tell tale sign that she was about to lose it.
Despite his rearranging for the chairs, Ophelia once again turned her head. She rose her hand, flagging down the bar tender and ordering another shot. From the look on her face, the man clearly knew any outside comments wouldn't be taken well. He quickly poured her another shot of fireball and returned within a moment to place the small glass in front of her.
As Raj continued to question her about her nonexistent lover, Ophelia kept her eyes cast down at the shot, gently pushing it back and forth between her fingers, spilling a bit of the liquid on her herself.
She took her shot, abruptly. "There's no one, alright? God fucking damn, are you always this persistent? Get lost." Ophelia said, her words slowed and slurring ever so slightly. She stood up quickly, manging to knock her chair backwards.
The heavy wooden chair crashed to the floor, causing the entire bar to quiet and stare at them. "Now look what you made me do." She said, shooting Raj a bleary if not completely murderous look. Her cheeks burned red in embarrassment.
It was then that her rage both at herself for knocking over the chair and for the man not leaving her be. Her instincts took over and she temporarily blacked out. As she reached out, shoving the sitting Raj with enough force to hopefully knock him off his chair, the small voice in the back of her mind cried for her to stop. Hadn't this been how she ended up in jail the first time?

The force of Ophelia's shove sent Raj falling abruptly onto his backside, the chair he was in hitting the floor with him. Before he could even say a word, the bouncer from the corner of the room swiftly made his way over to Ophelia, putting her arms in a lock from behind and dragging her outside. She seemed to resist, but the man was too large, and pretty quick for his size. It was a pity it had to come to this...
Rajendra stood and gained face, brushing off a bit of dust from his pants and leaving a tip on the table for whoever ended up having to take care of the small mess. He moved to the door leading outside, the bouncer giving him an unforgiving look. Raj nodded and seemed to get the notion; he wasn't quite welcome here either, having been the one to provoke it all to happen.
When he finally stepped outside, Raj saw Ophelia collecting herself. His once amused expression now looked a little gloom. "I'm sorry you had to deal with that...and me, I suppose." His off-hand clenched the other nervously. Raj wasn't actually very good with girls, and this encounter seemed to reinforce that fact. "I thought you were being serious. Although it does seem weird for a girl whose taken to come to a bar..." He felt a bit stupid, looking to Ophelia and wondering if she were still angry with him.
