[attr="class","patty"]She inhaled. The presentation now over and the meeting soon to close.
"We need to get things finished before the end of the day, other than that, keep up the good work and get going, I'll send these things to the Commissioner."
The meeting most of the rangers went well. With Sinnoh in disarray, Headquarters have been backed up with paperwork and a lot of board meetings. Secretary Patricia was only able to cover so many of these meetings, and she could feel her body heating up from the amount of work eating away at her health. From the obvious sign of nicotine to stay awake and the amount of coffee she drank. She was in no business to stop now. Especially with how everyone was already in a panic.
Her only hope was to have everything resolved by the end of the year. And if it wasn't for absences of people, she wouldn't be so neck deep into this. She could have stopped, she could have quit the Rangers while she was ahead like her mother told her, but she was stubborn. She wasn't cheery during these few weeks (or perhaps months) of the appearance of Rocket. She felt her blood pressure rose when the Rocket leader appeared with such a smug expression on his features.
Now, if only she was into bad boy type, would she have the common decency to drop her work and go to him. She wasn't. She was no gal to drop her work and chase something. No, she would rather be the one chased. Catch up to her, if anyone would dare really.
A little drop of sugar doesn't hurt one bit. Especially when it comes to the fragrant taste of coffee. And a dollop of the small things that matter the most. It's not unnatural for her to remember the sweet sullen days where she would work hours upon hours not knowing what to do, to suddenly be thrown into a chaotic mess filled with unsorted files. Work upon work, it would never seem to die as small mistakes appear and shouts are echo across the other side of the room. Since she worked close with the Commissioner, she was given a spot reasonably close to where Adrian's office was. If she had difficulty on it, she would immediately go to the individual, despite her being younger than Pat.
Simple words could not express how she felt when the new commissioner was elected. Of course there were a few minor setbacks, but those were just Patty becoming more prone to crying in her corner with a tub of ice cream. Whatever demands or rule change there was, she would have to see to it. It's not as bad. The commissioner was kind enough to let her have a day off. This didn't stop her from doing work at home.
Phones ringing, and the absolute chaos rung as she heard mumbling from the other rangers as she walked by. Should she ignore them? Patricia knew very well not everyone would appreciate to have a controlling freak to tell them what to do. Especially when they are nothing more than wanting to flee or go head on towards the enemy. She inhaled and exhaled slowly. She walked on further.
Meeting after meeting, she never wanted to go here. Especially to the office of where the highest order sat. If she was busy, Patricia would have to wait at her desk, filling out other paperwork before entering the office. Taking a deep breath, Patricia stood before a door and knocked three times. "It's Patricia," she spoke. She opened the door slowly before entering. Her arms filled with only two folders. Hopefully the Commissioner would be thankful for the hard work she put in. "I'm sorry for the bother, but, these documents need to be signed and I wasn't sure if you're having a moment."
