witness reports from all over the region has been flooding in about strange happenings at the three lakes. what's more perplexing is that these occurrences seem to be happening spontaneously at the lakes. just moments ago, a burst of light erupted at the locations and residents in the vicinity have reported that the lake-side pokemon have turned aggressive and attack on sight.
However, there have been rumours and sightings of the legendary lake trio which has had trainers flocking in from all over the region.
Sandgem town was a lovely place, warm and welcoming. Sunshine, good food, plenty of roads to stroll along, what else could Phil ask for? Besides, she was in a town, which was better than being alone in the wilderness. Most of her Pokemon were out, except for her cubone, whom she nicknamed storm, for she had discovered that he didn't like the company of others. Niaris steered clear of the crowds too, but all her other Pokemon were enjoying themselves, so she guessed it didn't matter too much. She was sipping an iced drink herself, content with just watching her Pokemon frolicking.
A group of rowdy kids and Pokemon ran past, temporarily disturbing the peace as they pushed roughly past Phil and her Pokemon, causing her to stumble and spill part of her drink on her dress. "H-hey!" She shouted at them, but they were already gone. Looking done that the stain on her dress, she sighed, "How will I ever get it out... And it was a new dress too."
Taking a thoughtful sip of her drink, only to find it was pretty much empty, she shoved the plastic can into a nearby bin. Her Pokemon gathered around her, her swablu in particular looking dismayed and shocked from the experience. She patted them all on the head, trying to calm them down, even though she wasn't particularly calm herself. "It's alright... I think." Well, that could of gone better, now what?

[attr="class","smdbody"]there wasn't much to sandgem town; it was quiet, it had a beach, and that was about it. but for some reason it was a town that liam often visited, albeit for work or for personal reasons. he found that he enjoyed it more than twinleaf or even floarama. maybe it was the novelty of it that appealed to him.
but today was yet another simple day. no missions had been assigned to him for this day so he was free to do whatever he wanted. he chose to stroll the town, just enjoying the sights.
his eyes followed a group of rowdy kids making their way through town. they literally forced their way through a crowd and also bumped into some people minding their own businesses. but he didn't mind, the kids didn't know any better. but he saw something interesting so he walked over.
"you have a lovely team," he said. her team already outnumbered his and they were all much cuter. he raised a hand to offer a friendly wave and a smile.
"sorry about the dress. there's a store around the corner if you want to get something new," he continued.

Phil didn't realize she had company until they spoke. Jerking up her head rather suddenly, she gave a small smile when he complimented her team. "Thanks, they're all adorable, aren't they?" She answered. If she said anything about herself, that would be boasting, but nothing prevented her from complimenting her Pokemon, did it? "I'm kinda new to the whole Pokemon training thing though, and I only captured them a few days ago or so. Except for Niaris, of course."
Realizing that the stranger probably didn't know who Niaris is, she patted her absol on the back. "Niaris has been with me for quite a while now, and he's always been lovely." Suddenly realizing that she probably had been talking too much, she gave a small, apologetic grin. "Sorry if I've been boring you." She might go shopping one day to where he had pointed out, but she wasn't on this trip to shop. She only needed one or two sets of presentable clothing. "I don't really need new clothes, I've spares, but this was new, and now it's ruined." She frowned, looking down at the drying stain.

[attr="class","smdbody"]he actually had no problems listening to the girl speak, he actually found what she said to be interesting. it was a much better conversation than what he normally has with other galactic members. most of those just involved a lot of nodding.
"i think you'll enjoy being a trainer. it's pretty fun," he commented. even though he wasn't technically a trainer he still trained his team like everyone else. and he was good at it too, or at least he thought.
he looked down at the absol and smiled. "they're quite rare, aren't they?" he asked. absol was one of the least common pokemon, especially in this region. he's only seen them a few times before.
he was caught a bit off guard by her apology. he wasn't expecting one of any sorts. "no, no, you aren't boring me at all," he assured with a friendly smile. he's never usually this nice to strangers, but he felt like being different today.
"i'm sure it'll come off in the wash. but it doesn't look ruined to me," he said. his eyes glanced at the stain that was on her dress before looking back up at her.
"are you just visiting sandgem? you don't look like you're from around here," he chuckled.

Phil brightened a little again when he mentioned that he didn't find her chattering too annoying. Some found her blabbering awfully boring, and so she often tried to stop talking too much. Now, she could talk a little more without fear of being a bore.
"I've heard they're rare." She replied to the other's comment, "but I haven't researched much about them. I'm sure I will enjoy the life of a trainer, I'm enjoying it so far." The capturing and battling process was fun so far, and she couldn't wait to battle a trainer, though she supposed that her Pokemon won't strong enough.
At the boy's mention of her stain, a scowl began to appear on her face. "Sugar is awfully hard to get out of clothes, and perhaps ruined is a strong word, but it's going to take a lot of washing." After a few seconds, however, her face softened and she gave an indifferent shrug. "It's going to come out, but I'm just annoyed that I have to spend the extra effort."
To his question, she gave a shake of her head. "No, I'm visiting. My hometown is eterna city. It's a lovely place though."
[attr="class","smdbody"]an eyebrow perked at the mention of eterna city. it wasn't too far away but the travel was still something. he wondered if she was here on holiday or if she was here for another reason.
"are you here for the professor?" he asked. tons of people come to the professor to get their journey started. he almost did it but his milotic was a gift which was why he didn't need to. he did admire the man though, it must not be easy to do what he does.
"sandgem is alright but wait 'til you get to the bigger cities like jubilife," he commented. jubilife was just a route away as well. it would most likely take a few hours to get there by foot. but there was always the train.
"would you like to see my pokemon?" he asked.
