major news alert!
witness reports from all over the region has been flooding in about strange happenings at the three lakes. what's more perplexing is that these occurrences seem to be happening spontaneously at the lakes. just moments ago, a burst of light erupted at the locations and residents in the vicinity have reported that the lake-side pokemon have turned aggressive and attack on sight.
However, there have been rumours and sightings of the legendary lake trio which has had trainers flocking in from all over the region.

Sylvester had traveled a long ways to get to Iron Island, but he didn't stop to take a break once he got there. Now that he had some space to his own, it was time to let his Steelix, Chomper, open up on this terrain to see if he could unearth any residual pokemon. "Tear this place apart." He said to the leviathan that spawned beside him with a simple click of his poke ball. "Don't kill anything doing it, though. We're looking for something to capture." Preferably a dragon, but there were said to be lots of rare and unique pokemon roaming among this island. Some were underground, and others elsewhere. Luckily this trainer had a pokemon to help him find them...

A Riolu, huh? Sylvester was surprised to see one of them dashing down the terrain as it was unearthed by his Steelix. "Alright Chomper, we got one." Rising up through the dirt, the pokemon were in close vicinity already. The Riolu didn't realize the Steelix was so close underneath the ground, causing it to get first first by Chomper's gyro ball before he used dig to submerge himself once more. The Riolu was unable to lay a scratch on him, and by the time he emerged again Chomper was already on the offensive again.
A dragon breath came after the two force palms, followed by another gyro ball. Riolu wasn't able to handle it.He slumped over with a small whine, prompting Sylvester to throw a poke ball. It nudged around a few times before making that sound every trainer was relieved to hear. "Great work Chomper." He walked over to the device and took a kneel to retrieve it, sliding it back into his pocket with the others before standing back up. Patting his Steelix on it's side Sylvester decided to press his luck some more. "Let's keep trying to find some more, Chomper. Do your thing."

Steelix managed to stir up a Hitmontop, but Sylvester wasn't all that interested. Still, it was a rare pokemon. Somebody out there probably wanted it, right? Sylvester could trade it to someone, or heck, maybe even sell it. He ordered his Steelix to use strength and then dig, and when he resurfaced the Hitmontop was seemingly injured and unable to get back up to fight, even though it may have wanted to. "Good work." Chomper nodded and took his place at Sylvester's side while the trainer reached for an empty poke ball before tossing it to the Hitmontop. It shook violently for a second, causing Sylvester to worry, but it soon settled and gave off the little 'ding' that every trainer loved to here. Pocketing the second pokemon of the day, Sylvester pointed towards the higher mounds of earth. "Let's see if we can't find ourselves another one, okay?" Chomper obliged, happily at that, demonstrating a lot of zeal as he churned through the earth like it was butter. Higher and higher the Steelix went, and the more impatient Sylvester got...

Yet another pokemon showed itself, although this time Sylvester wasn't very interested. Instead he was obliged to turn around and head back the way he came. The island had given him what it could, and now Sylvester would just have to move onto the next area. All in all, it wasn't that much of a waste of his time. Though he wasn't quite sure if he would be keeping the pokemon he captured. Doubling up on pokemon types wasn't something he was very keen of as a trainer aspiring to complete the Sinnoh league gm challenge. With that thought in mind, Sylvester was able to clear his conscience and head back to the pokemon center where he could get all of his pokemon healed.
