witness reports from all over the region has been flooding in about strange happenings at the three lakes. what's more perplexing is that these occurrences seem to be happening spontaneously at the lakes. just moments ago, a burst of light erupted at the locations and residents in the vicinity have reported that the lake-side pokemon have turned aggressive and attack on sight.
However, there have been rumours and sightings of the legendary lake trio which has had trainers flocking in from all over the region.

Finally released from the hospital, Hunter was itching and rearing to go actually do something. Being stuck in a hospital bed, even if it only was for a few days, had driven her crazy. She sighed as she felt the sunlight on her skin, stretching her arms above her head and tapping her fingers on her lean stomach. Persephone was at her side, the mightyena was staying by her side ever since The Incident, whimpering and whining and generally trying to get back into Hunter's good graces.
Which wasn't hard at all. Hunter scratched at Perse's ears, applying a salve to help heal her burns. She was sitting on a bench in the town enjoying the free air and breeze that swirled around her. She rotated her shoulder of her broken arm, pastel pink cast empty and void of any signatures. Hunter didn't have a lot of friends, and less acquaintances. With Liam gone and vanished, it'd likely remain sadly empty until she actually healed.

Rajendra had a habit of finding cute girls, and today was no different. Walking on the same sidewalk as the oncoming girl as she exited the hospital, he could make out the pink cast, as well as the Mightyena's burn wounds. She must've been through hell and back. Well, it was probably just a pokemon battle gone wrong, but Raj was quick to make a deal of it after getting a bit closer. "Woah, what happened to you?" His eyes were stuck to her arm, only glancing down to the Mightyena for a scarce moment. "And how come there aren't any signatures..." His eyes slowly drifted up to her own, as if to ask the question his lips wouldn't bother moving to make. It seemed rude to ask someone if they didn't have any friends who'd visit them.
Though even Rajendra didn't have many friends who would visit him if something like this happened to him. A sort of guilty look spilled on his face, though he hadn't a marker on him to offer the girl her first cast signature. "Right, you don't know me yet. I'm Raj, what's your name?" He tried to get acquainted before asking her to come to a store to get a fresh marker. Though he had something else he wanted to write on her cast...she was kind of cute. It wouldn't hurt to give her his number, right? For all they knew, they would be good friends or more soon enough.
He wondered if telling her he was a part of Galactic would help any in that regard, but seeing as she may be the type to gossip? Or that her arm may have been broken because of Galactic? He would do well not to discuss it until in private. His current uniform didn't give it away, which was good. A plain white shirt, deep blue denim slacks and a pair of low-cut black boots. He probably seemed more like a normal civilian, were it not for his right pocket appearing to have several orbs tucked inside in the shape and size of the average poke ball. A pokemon trainer, or even ranger would be able to discern that he worked with pokemon.
But what exactly he did would remain a mystery. For now Rajendra would just put on the front that he was a pokemon trainer. He even had the Oreburgh city gym's Coal badge in his other pocket to help him keep up that lie for now...
[attr="class","monbody"]Jake would be walking with his Pokemon like usual but with a bit of a change. The change was within his Shellos who was now a Gastrodon. The evolution happened on their way here. Jake was delighted and so the rest of Jake's party who took advantage of this. Nyoromo was riding on top of Oceanus and so was Tsunami the newest member of the team, who was a Horsea. He caught this little guy while he was traveling here as well. A lot of exciting things happened on the way, which was why Jake loved this world and the Pokemon in it.
Jake always exerted this sort of aura around him. It was like a mystical aura or a mysterious aura about him. He wouldn't spend too much time in this town. As he was just passing through. But for some reason something erked him to stay a bit longer so he did so. He would walk pass two people who was in front of the hospital and would just pass by them. Jake didn't have many Human friends or any at all. His grandma did't count. So the count was at zero. And it has been for years now. But that didn't bother Jake too much. All he needed was his Pokemon. They should be sufficient, as they have been since the day he met each one of them.
Jake would stop in front of the flowers and would close his eyes as his Pokemon would start to play with each other. They would be squirting water everywhere like a water park. Percy wouldn't be involved in this as he was too proud to do so. He would also be taking in the smells of the flowers. The two would stand there almost motionless as a blast of water would hit Jake's neck. He would turn around and pick up Nyo would would most likely be the culprit for the deed. He was the prankster of the group. He would tickle Nyo until he seemed to give up and then placed him down. "You guys never seem to get tired do you?" Jake would say with a smirk growing on his face.

Hunter glanced up as she was approached and spoken to, and was a little surprised. She took a moment to process the question, and her lips twitched up into a smile. Immediately she began to laugh, unable to control her giggles as this freaking kid pointed out she had no friends. She took her time, doubled over slightly, to get her bearings back before grinning up at him with a sultry wink.
What? The guy was a cutie.
"Well hello to you too handsome. Got no friends if I'm honest, rangers don't really group up like they used to. I'm Hunter. Hunter Honeyscuttle"
She held out her good hand to shake, the other casted hand resting on Perse's head. The pokemon seemed to size Raj up, trying to figure out whether or not to consider him a threat. She growled lightly, almost seeming to sense something off about him, but was quickly shushed by Hunter who didn't want a repeat of last time.
"Why you asking? You wanna sign my cast handsome?"
She teased lightly, eyeing the kid up and down and deciding within herself that this could be a nice shot. If the guy was interested she'd be totally on board.
She was distracted though by a nearby commotion, turning her head to watch a...water show? So close to the city? It was a pretty cute too. She stood up, slightly shorter than Raj, and looked up at the man grinning.

"Ah, I see. Well, it turns out I could also use a friend." He was reluctant to comment on Hunter being a ranger. That much could be overlooked for now. There were spies in Galactic, after all. Maybe this would be Rajendra's chance to do get some experience with espionage? "And yeah, I just need a marker. Do you have one on you, by any chance?" Raj couldn't help but flash a great smile. He didn't even have to serenade or swoon the girl, she already thought him to be handsome, and that was enough to feel comfortable with where things between them would be headed. It was a lot more fortunate than his last few encounters. So even if she was the enemy of the organization he worked for, right now they could keep things simple and just get to know one another as human beings. All the extra baggage could come at a later date...
"But yeah, let's go bother him. I actually want to ask him something." Honestly, Rajendra was eyeing the man with his peripheral vision the whole time when he noticed all of their water pokemon. Their team seemed to be comprised of nothing but. Rajendra also shared a similar obsession with water pokemon. They even had the one pokemon Rajendra had been looking for to complete his collection of water types. Gesturing for Hunter to come along, Rajendra was quick to get the man's attention. "Hey you with the Horsea!" His voice seemed confrontational at first, but that was bogus; he just wanted them to feel some amount of concern. Enough to stop and turn around. Once they did, he'd make an introduction before getting right down to the inquiry Raj had to make of them. "The names Raj...I just wanted to know where you caught that Horsea at? I've actually been looking for one, but no luck. Did you use a fishing rod? Or..maybe you traded for it?" Rajendra's excitement lessened when he contemplated the latter. He was about to introduce Hunter, but since they didn't know one another very well Rajendra decided against it, and let the ranger speak for herself.
[attr="class","monbody"]Jake's moment playing with his Pokemon was interupted it was a man who was asking about the origins of Tsunami. Which wasn't weird usually Horseas' are found at sea and not on land. But this little guy was special he just found him in the forest wandering around. He seemed to enjoy Jake and the groups company so he decided to stay with them. But this man seemed a bit intimidating. Percy walked up to the man and eye'd him up and so did Neptune. They didn't like this guy too much. Jake wondered why but that was probably because he was mildly intimidating. Oceanus, Nyo and Tsunami continued to play but to the side where the water wouldn't bother them.
"Sorry about these two, they are really cautious" Jake would laugh while putting a hand on the two's head. "But you are wondering about Tsunami over there? I'm afraid I can't tell you that, its a secret you see." Jake would wink and smirk at the guy. He wanted to see how far this guy would go to get the information he needed. Which was probably due to the fact that Jake didn't have any Human friends. After scoping the situation out Neptune went to play with the rest of the group but Percy stayed. He was like Jake's Knight which was funny of him.
While Jake was all for Human friends he was a bit picky about them. Jake wanted to make sure the people he is connected with never betray him. It may be hard to find these people but it would last in the long run.

He needed a friend too? What kind of friend? A friend, or a friend? Either way Hunter was on board for more friends, considering she only had the one. As for a marker.... She patted herself for a moment and grinned, coming up with a fresh sharpie she'd swiped from the hospital. Well, it was more like the nurse had given it to her in a sad hope that she could get signatures on her journeys. Mostly she'd pathetically been planning to ink over the hands and paws of pokemon she saved in an effort to look cool.
"Right here Raj. Sign it for me?"
She batted her eyelashes prettily and handed over the marker, holding up her pink cast for him to sign. She'd wait patiently, eyes glancing curiously between Raj and the new guy. He seemed....weird and uptight almost, like he'd never really had human contact before. It made her curious, as a lot of things did. But mostly it made her snort and laugh.
Persephone, as big as she was, approached the small water types and sniffed at them, pawing at those who stayed by Jake's side. She'd growl at them for a moment before sitting back on her haunches, ever alert and watching. Hunter would scratch her ears and smile, holding out her good hand to Jake after to shake.

"Huh..." Rajendra was, for the moment, at a loss for words. He thought they'd either have a destination for him, or the fact that they traded for the pokemon and thus had no real idea where it had been captured. But instead they wanted to keep it a secret... "Well, I guess I just don't have you to thank when I finally do find one. Thanks anyway." Raj's eyes went from the man and back to Hunter, who had a marker for him to use. "Sure thing."
His handwriting was fairly neat, writing the short version of his name. "You can have that too." Raj noted after going on to write his number just below his signature. He would've winked, but Raj felt his eager smile was enough to get the message across. Rajendra was a bit taken back when she wanted the man to sign her cast, though...but thinking back on how it had absolutely zero signatures until a moment ago? He could kinda get why. Raj just didn't like the guy. Not because there was something about them, or that they deserved it. Raj was just peeved they wouldn't tell him where they found their Horsea. He really wanted one...
[attr="class","monbody"]Jake noticed the Mightyena but payed no mind to it. It didn't seem to have any ill will. Percy would eye it down though. He didn't seem to like the Pokemon. Maybe because of a past experience? Well as long as Percy behaved Jake would be happy. A female would approach him and would offer him to sign her cast. Which was weird because Jake didn't even know the female. So the fact that she wanted him to sign it might suggest that she either had no friends or wanted as many signatures as she could get. Jake never broke anything in his body so he never had the chance to experience things like signing a cast. He also hasn't had Human friends so he hasn't been able to sign anyone's cast.
Well it doesn't matter. Jake didn't really want to turn the woman down. So he shook her hand and signed the cast. Jake always keeps a marker on him just in case eh gets lost so he can track himself. Or he could have his Pokemon create a path for him but he wanted to be a little self dependent. "Also that Joke about it being a secret about where I acquired Tsunami was just that, a joke. I can't tell you specifically but lets just say I received him from someone important to me."

Hunter grinned at Raj when she saw what he had done. She quickly reminded herself to put it in her phone later and smiled even wider when Jake agreed to sign. She could sense Raj's surprise, but again she didn't have many friends to begin with. He ignored her other hand which was fine, she dropped it back to her side and used it to scritch behind Persephone's ears. Feeling like she needed to contribute to the conversation, Hunter shrugged her shoulders and recapped her marker when they were both done.
"Horsea are cute but I like ice types better. I'm a poison and ice trainer honestly, Perse here is gunna learn Poison Fang one day I just know it."
The girl gushed for a moment, grinning at the two men. Sure she did own a water type but she wasn't planning on keeping Triton around forever, well she was just not for her main dream team.
"Though I do have a shellder, y'know for the clam jokes."

"No big deal. I'm just desperate to find one, really. It's always been a favorite of mine, next to Seel and a few others." He gestured to the man in a way that resembled a shrug; not trying to come off as a total prick. He just didn't take kindly to the answer being a complete secret, as it was made out to be. But Rajendra was then captivated by what Hunter had went on to say. "...Clam jokes?"
His eyes almost darted to the crease in her legs. Almost. "Are you talking about that clam?" He pointed to it briefly, looking a bit confused. "Not really one for jokes, but I get the innuendo." Rajendra smiled for a moment.
Hunter was proving to be really open about her sexuality, almost too much. Not that Rajendra didn't like it, but he wasn't sure if this kind of thing was appropriate to talk about out here in public. Especially with this 'Jake' guy, whose name was now on her cast. And though it wasn't right of him to feel this way, Raj started to feel like he had some sort of claim on Hunter. The 'I saw her first' mentality didn't really work, though. Hunter wasn't some substance or treasure to fight over; she was a living, breathing person.
"Did either of you have plans? 'Cos I kinda don't want to get a fine for loitering here. We should get going." He looked to Jake, then back to Hunter. "But where to?"
[attr="class","monbody"]Jake thought a bit about his destination but figured since he has the first badge why doesn't he go for the second. It should be a breeze. Jake didn't look too much into the Gym but he knew that it was a Grass Type gym. He would just utilize the Ice Beam he had taught to Oceanus. Looking towards the next route he would proceed to look back his the two. While he wasn't all for them coming some occasional company is pretty good. Jake would do that thing the kimono girls would do and like connect his sleeves you know what he puts his hand in the other sleeve to put them together he would be doing that.
"I guess we should head to the next gym. I wanna grab the next badge really quick." Jake wasn't being cocky he knew that next gym would be a breeze for Oceanus. He just can't get hit. Dodging wouldn't be too hard it Oceanus wasn't slow. But that made up for his Defenses. Jake would call out to his mini water park and them would surround him. They were ready to go. Percy of course still was sizing both Hunter and Raj up as he still didn't fully trust them. But that was Percy's personality. He was the over protective type. A cute little guy. Jake didn't have any favorites as he loved all Pokemon the same, but if he didn't pick favorites Percy would be very close or at the top of his list.

Hunter could hardly control herself at Raj's confused expression. Quickly she nodded, hiding her grin behind her hand but all the same covering her lower half with a brief burst of a laugh.
"Dude don't look at me like that! Lesbian jokes man, lesbian jokes."
She snickered to herself quietly, but straightened up with a small sense of duty noticing the stares they were getting for just standing around.
"Right, we should move. Ranger or not I'm not one to push my status to avoid trouble. Let's get moving"
She glanced at Jake as he spoke, looking over at the aforementioned gym.
"Okay right, to the gym then? We can watch your battle or...something I guess."

Rajendra wasn't very keen on watching this guy battle the gym leader, but it did mean him and Hunter would be able to talk alone on the bleachers. It would just like high school, or something, making Raj eager to accept the invitation. "Yeah alright, let's get going then." Of course, at the end of the day this was all for Hunter. Jake was just some passerby who had a pokemon the Galactic member wanted. If Hunter weren't here, he probably would have tried to steal it. But instead he moved his feet eagerly along with them towards the gym. He was reluctant to comment further on the bit about clams and lesbians, feeling a little embarrassed for letting that one go over his head. At least Hunter was able to have a good laugh. Speaking of which, she had a really cute laugh...
[attr="class","monbody"]Jake pretty sure that this Raj guy wasn't too fond of him. Which was alright. Jake wasn't really fond of anyone. A loner of londers. Jake just wanted to change it up a little. "Follow us, my eager little Pokemon" Jake would look down the route and it seemed to be pretty straight forward. As most of them were. It was hard to get lost when there was a path.
Jake didn't know what was for him in the future but hopefully it was something worthwhile. He wasn't trying as hard as he was to get the perfect water team, for it to be used halfassed like. Jake expected challenges and rewards that would make his name knowned through out Sinnoh. Whether it be for good or bad. Jake got thinking though. Maybe being the Bad Guy would be "Good"
But that of course was down the line. It would be a while until event would start to unfold themselves. Hopefully though, being the bad guy or good guy wouldn't be too hard. Jake himself as a pretty laid back guy. So if the job is too demanding he might outright turn it down. But again, this was the future anything could happen between now and then.
