major news alert!
witness reports from all over the region has been flooding in about strange happenings at the three lakes. what's more perplexing is that these occurrences seem to be happening spontaneously at the lakes. just moments ago, a burst of light erupted at the locations and residents in the vicinity have reported that the lake-side pokemon have turned aggressive and attack on sight.
However, there have been rumours and sightings of the legendary lake trio which has had trainers flocking in from all over the region.
Adler liked it here. The air was crisp and clean this far up, and the view was nothing short of breathtaking. At the moment, he was sitting on a bench that faced the edge of a cliff side, the mountainous area and forest below clear for his viewing pleasure. It was so quiet here, too, making it so easy for him to just take some time to think. Team Galactic couldn’t have picked a better place to set up. He was down in the city instead of up near the base, merely relaxing since he hadn’t any jobs to do at the moment.
Idly he ran his fingers through his long purple locks as he stared at the view, his ponytail hooked over his shoulder at the moment, hanging down his chest. The solace this isolation gave him was something he commonly sought out, finding it invaluable to keep his mind clear in an otherwise chaotic life. He didn’t regret the path he had chosen, not one bit. These peaceful moments were more common than most would probably assume, though, considering most in his business preferred certain vices over seeking this sort of environment.
After a couple more minutes, he got up with a quiet sigh, stretching for a moment before he started taking a leisurely stroll about the park. His piercing blue eyes scanned the area thoroughly, almost always on alert. He never had liked surprises.
[attr="class","JAENO"]Surprises? The white haired man was full of them. People assume everything. Especially when it comes to Jae's own surprises. They appear out of nowhere and are always fun or annoying to participate. Jae was only in the park with his pokemons, the hippopotas was the only one out for the moment. His favourite right next to Cilalic the Torchic. Okay, I want you to go find me the nearest person with a blindfold! Jae pulled a white cloth from his sleeves and tied it around the head of the pokemon. Always in trouble, always on a prowl of mischief. As soon as he moved away, the hippo pokemon bounded forward. Away from Jae and towards a particular gentleman.
The hippo stopped as soon as she felt something hit her snout and sat down. Jae by this moment was surprised she could move so fast. Did you find any shhhhhhh -- he extended the 'sh' sound for a while when he caught the eye of the man. A cool air around him made Jae's spine tingle with delight. How fun. With a smile, Jae waved over to the man. Hiya! My hippopotas hit ya, sorry for that! We were trying to find something.
Jae wore a short sleeved v-neck shirt with his goofy mask of a fake nose and glasses as per usual. Black gloves with his index, thumb, and pinky fingers uncovered. He walked with swiftness and moved over to his hippopotas. You didn't get hurt from the impact did you girl? Jae cooed the pokemon.
Even with how alert the long haired man was, he hardly had any warning before the hippopotas ran snout-first into his leg. It hurt, and he was fairly certain it’d leave a bruise, but he hardly budged. For a moment he just stared down at the blind folded pokemon, a blank expression on his face. It lingered until he heard another man’s voice, his eyes snapping up to the light haired one. And again, he just stared. It was the gag glasses, mostly, he couldn’t draw his gaze away from them for a few seconds.
“You need to get better at controlling your pokemon,” Adler commented dryly, despite knowing it looked just like the other was out here training already. He didn’t sound at all upset about the hippopotas running into him, but he didn’t accept the apology either.
With a soft roll of his shoulders, he looked over the other man and the pokemon critically. He was sizing them up and he wasn’t even trying to hide it, and he didn’t look at all impressed with what he saw. “Unlikely,” he added on simply, looking the other man right in the eye. With that he simply turned to leave, figuring this guy was a waste of his time.
[attr="class","JAENO"]How heartless! Emotionless to the core! Jae felt a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. From the hurtful comment to the turn of his back. He felt pulled to the man. His first thought was: Man! This guy needs to lighten up some! And this was proven true. Anyone would notice how the nameless man stared at the gag mask. How odd they were to be on Jae. Looking down at his hippopotas, Jae took off the blindfold and let her back into his pokeball. Hey! Wait! You gotta tell me something about yourself! Jae shouted as he walked after the man.
Let's have some coffee at least! You seem like a man who has a story to tell! Of course he is! If only Jaeho had a brain and woudl notice that the man he was walking after was a Galactic Member. As soon as he found himself walking side by side with the grumpy funny man, Jae took off the gag mask and ran his fingers quickly through his hair. Ay, yo, okay, so, coffee on my treat? If ya want to of course! Jae was determined to know a bit of info on the man, after all... he's such a funny looking guy who needs to smile!
“No, I don’t,” Adler answered simply without hesitation, soon as the other caught up so he wouldn’t have to raise his voice. He didn’t even turn towards the other as he spoke, as if the other wasn’t worth his time. At least the ridiculous blind-folded pokemon was put away, he was relieved to note. The mask soon was removed as well, which was nice. Not that he’d comment on it, of course. But he did take another moment to look over the man, finally, studying his face for a moment.
For a few seconds too long he was silent about the offer of coffee, and it almost seemed like he was going to ignore the offer entirely. “If you’re paying, yes,” he finally answered, slowing to a stop as he turned back towards the light haired man. “However, if you’re looking for a story, you’re asking the wrong guy,” the long haired one added on, not wanting to give the other the wrong idea.
“Can you go now?” So he wouldn’t have to waste time meeting back up later, mostly. Besides, he wasn’t busy right now and he didn’t know how long he’d be in town.
[attr="class","JAENO"]Even a Snorlax would have a better response to Jae's questions than this cold and emotionless man! No matter. He was interesting enough to pique Jae's interest and he thought, maybe he could talk to the man even more. After all, he is a people person. With their walk becoming more awkward, Jae wanted to at least talk about something interesting. Did you hear about the battle cup? He asked with a smile. I have my bet on that Nora gal, she seems to know what she's doing compared to the others.
Second bet was the trainer boy, if he won then Jae expected his younger sister to fangirl over a handsome young man. So what kind of coffee do you like? Oh wait, I don't even know your name! I'm Connor, what's yours?
There still needs to be a fine line from identity to a fake one. Jae's identity ranges from himself to a hard working businessman, and the organisation preferred if he stayed with the businessman aspect. As for a story, I bet you're just saying that to be modest. No need for modesty! Tell me everything that you're comfortable on telling me.

“It’s pointless,” Adler muttered in response to the battle cup, not seeming to really care. Truthfully he didn’t, usually dealing very little with pokemon. He trusted his own ability far more than that of some pet, anyway. For a moment he ran his finger over the one pokeball in his pocket, hardly containing a huff. The useless thing.
This guy liked talking too much, but he wasn’t going to complain. “I don’t like coffee. I want a mocha latte. And my name’s Adler,” the purple haired man answered without missing a beat, not bothering with a fake name. Chances were this guy wouldn’t know who he was anyway, as his name mostly circulated in the underground, and while he had a reputation, he wasn’t particularly well known in this region yet.
“Why do you want to hear any of it?” The purple haired man asked, the first sign of curiosity he had showed so far. He still didn’t agree to actually tell any stories, though if nothing else, the white haired man was beginning to pique his interest. Sure, Adler probably seemed boring and distant, but this was far more attention than he gave to most other people.
[attr="class","JAENO"]Nothing is pointless in his book. Nothing should be pointless! With a smile, the twenty-seven year old followed the purple haired individual. Nice to meet you Adler! Hey, we can totally get some of whatever you said, and talk about stuff. If ya want of course, but, I'm not going to complain if you say 'no' otherwise.
Talking to strangers, a normal occurrence in his book! Jaeho was positive he was going to get somewhere with all of this. Perhaps learn more of this young dastardly individual who caught his attention. Reason? I have none! I mean, people have stories to tell even if they claim they don't have any. Think about it Adler, is there something you've always wanted to tell someone that nothing you think of should come out of it?
His attention was caught by a fluttering instect at the corner of his eye. Jae looked back at Adler, beaming with his smile. So, cafe on the way? Wanna call it a date?

“I promise nothing,” Adler muttered as he glanced towards the peculiar man beside him. At least it wasn’t an outright refusal to talk to Connor. Truthfully, this was far more than he tolerated most people. The talkative man wasn’t getting on his nerves, as his interest was actually piqued. The main reason he avoided people was to stay away from possible dangers, yet this guy seemed harmless. For now, he didn’t mind the company since today he was spending relaxing anyway. There were no jobs for him to do at this moment, so he didn’t mind.
This guy was certainly persistent, he had to give him that. The man who stood just an inch over six feet tall didn’t answer again at first, raising a brow for a moment when he noticed how the other’s attention had been grabbed by an insect. Connor seemed to be a bit simple minded, but at least it was entertaining. “A date?” The violet haired man repeated, genuinely surprised by that. For a moment he fell silent again, looking over the other. “I’ve never been asked on a date,” he admitted without thinking, which was rather unlike him, the light haired one managing to catch him entirely off guard.
Most people were either too intimidated by him, knew that it was easier to ask him for a quick fuck instead, or simply weren’t around him long enough to get the chance to ask such a thing. “I… Sure, why not,” Adler shrugged, trying to play it off like he didn’t care after that little blunder. While it probably didn’t seem like much, it was rather significant with the overly cautious and critical criminal.
[attr="class","JAENO"]Hot dog, it's great to be charismatic and charming! Jae felt adrenaline rush through him. He was happy someone like Adler agreed to the coffee date. Jae looked at Adler with a blissful expression and kept on walking beside the tall giant of a man. If someone was to glance at their direction, they would see a chirper male and an adamant man walking side by side.
You haven't been to one? I'll take you to one, first treat of course! We can go on others too if you don't mind my company, Jae was happy to be with someone other than his precious pokemon. Hey, perhaps this is some great sign of fate for us to meet like this!
Was he taking his disguise too far? Or was he completely out of character? Jae reached out for Adler's hand and took him to the closest cafe. It was one of those trending jazz cafe's. You know, Adler, what do you like to do for fun? Anything cool? Or something odd that you've done in the past that might be cool to people?
Jae turned to the counter and went in for his order of a spiced chai latte with a chocolate muffin.
This was all entirely foreign to Adler, and it kept him on edge. How easily he made Connor happy with a simple agreement was strange. He wasn’t used to make people genuinely happy. Sure, he saw people happy with greed or relief, but never anything like this- at least, not when it was caused by him. It was strange, and he found himself staring at the shorter male for a moment before he glanced away. Weird.
“Maybe… We’ll see,” the violet haired man still didn’t want to make any promises, not sure if he’d ever see the light haired man again after today. Usually he didn’t make any decisions like this without sufficient planning, this likely being the most spontaneous thing he had done in a long ass time. And as his hand was grabbed, he tensed for a few seconds before he relaxed a little. That was entirely new, too. While he was used to touching people, it was usually to either hurt them or hold them down as he… It was never anything as innocent as this- that was for certain.
“I… Not really. I either hang around parks, like I was earlier, or I’ll play piano or read,” Adler admitted hesitantly, uneasily running his thumb down the side of the other’s finger for a moment. He ordered his mocha latte as well, still holding the other’s hand unless the older one pulled away. “What about you, Connor?” The taller one found it a bit strange to even ask that, trying to keep the conversation going to ease his nerves.
