After his recent win in Oreburgh, Parker had returned home with a little more confidence. He was starting to get a feel for how he wanted his life to go, and so far that meant climbing the ranks of Galactic to get where he needed to be. Which is why he was on the hunt for more pokemon, because really he needed to get more companions in order to beat any of the other gyms. With this in mind he'd scoured the local mart in search of something to help him. The next city was Eternea, and those were all grass types. He knew what he was looking for anyway, and brought with him a little container that was golden and decorated. Fire incense. He'd buy as many as he'd need to in order to find what he was looking for, though he hoped he wouldn't have to search long.

While he wasn't searching very hard, he WAS searching for something. Pudding was actively helping him, the Granbull a lot more intimidating with his large jaw and meaner looks. Parker was getting slightly impressed with his own capabilities at this point, but he wasn't very impressed when he ran into the numel. The weird camel thing was just that, weird. Parker wasn't sure to make of it, but the numel seemed pretty upset that they were disturbing it's home. However, once it got a good look at Pudding, it seemed to backtrack. The numel promptly turned and ran into it's home, which had Parker laughing and Pudding very confused.

A fucking Rapidash? Parker stood stock still as the large flaming horse wandered by. He wasn't sure what to do, but he didn't want to startle it. He glanced down at Pudding, who had that gleam in his eyes as he stepped forward and alerted the pokemon. He growled and barked at the startled Rapidash, who took a few steps away, before Parker raised both his hands and crouched low.

The two pokemon seemed to have a conversation and Parker pulled out a granola bar from the bag slung over his shoulder, and offered it to the flaming horse. The rapidash sniffed out the food, taking bites from the granola bar and hardly noticing as Parker took out a pokeball and clicked the button, enlarging it. She stared him in the eye as he stroked down her face gently, holding his breath as he tapped her with the ball.

It seems he won her affection because one, two, three shakes, the ball went silent.

Luck seemed to be coming to Parker in sudden droves. Parker was almost alarmed as he stepped on someone's tail, and jumped as he was alerted to a very loud yelp. He glanced down and gasped out loud, staring into the eyes of a very sad growlithe.

"Holy shit I am sooooo sorry please don't set me on fire."

Instead, the puppy pokemon yowled dramatically and rolled on his back, exposing his stomach and wiggling on the ground making sad puppy noises. Unsure of what to do Parker did the only thing he could think of, and rubbed the growlithe's tummy. The puppy pokemon yipped happily and nuzzled into Parker's side, accidentally nudging a pokeball and exploding into energy, into the ball. After several shakes the pokeball fell silent, and Parker raised both brows.
