major news alert!
witness reports from all over the region has been flooding in about strange happenings at the three lakes. what's more perplexing is that these occurrences seem to be happening spontaneously at the lakes. just moments ago, a burst of light erupted at the locations and residents in the vicinity have reported that the lake-side pokemon have turned aggressive and attack on sight.
However, there have been rumours and sightings of the legendary lake trio which has had trainers flocking in from all over the region.
Last night's events flew by in a blur, and by the time Jason had collapsed on his bed, in the early hours of morning, he'd passed out before he even made contact with the sheets. It's late afternoon when he wakes, and he slightly wished he hadn't.
He has a lot of explaining to do. Especially to Adrien. The kiss has never gotten much closure, especially once he saw Adrien again at the ball. To say that he's confused is an understatement, because for every denial about his homorosexuality, there's someone who wholeheartedly believes in it. Not that it's wrong -- just strange, because he'd never consider himself gay until now.
Jason spends about twenty minutes in the store, twice as long as he planned because he isn't sure on what to get for Adrien. A card? Balloons? He finally settles on a cup of tea. Posh types liked it, right?
His palms sweat. It takes him about five minutes to get to the hospital, an he's not even sure if Adrien's conscious enough to talk yet. He hesitantly brings up his arm and knocks twice.

Eyes lazily scanned the room as he awoke, unsure of what had happened or how he had gotten here. Sitting up, he'd be reminded of the pain. The nurse on standby would update him on the details. Two ribs dislocated and a a few stiches. Damn. Adrien would put bits and pieces together from what he could recall of the prior night; Lena, Cranidos, Jason, Confession, Soon to be dead grunt and...
"... My sister and boyfriend?" He'd cock a confused brow at the nurse as he rubbed his head, slightly hungover from yesterday's fiasco. The woman would just nod in acknowledgement and left to room. I have no sister... And boyfriend?! The silverette gulped, unsure of who he had exactly even confessed to in his drunken stupor. And they said yes? Brows knitted together as he'd try to think back hard. "Significant...Other..." He'd narrow his eyes as he repeated those words; words spoken by a certain redhead. Oh....
Realization struck. While it may have been an excuse, the silverette couldn't help but feel a little elated at that thought for reasons he couldn't quite comprehend. A smile crept onto his lips, despite how... Abnormal he found it. He wasn't into men, not one bit. But then, why the delight?
Ugh... What are you even thinking, Adrien?!
A sudden rap on the door would snap him out of his train of thoughts, a small jolt of sorts when the person announced his name. "Yeah, come in... " He'd calmly answer, or so he tried to.
Jason freezes when he hears a voice from the other side of the door. He can't explain the inexplicable bout of nervousness that settles in his stomach, palms sweaty and face suddenly hot. He rests his hands on the door, composing himself before he lets himself in.
Adrien is looking much better than he did yesterday. There's no blood, but there's bandaging where the pokemon had made impact. He definitely won't be up for a while. The nurse beside them gives them more room, keenly aware that Adrien is his supposed 'significant other'. Jason avoids her gaze as he sidesteps her.
He falls back into his usual self, something easier said than done considering what happened last night. Jason pulls a chair from the wall and faces it backwards, leaning on the back of it and acting as casual as he can.
He grins at Adrien, throwing the box of tea on his lap. It's a random one that he grabbed off the shelf of his store. Earl grey. Something that sounds as pompous as he is.
"So how much of an ass were you last night? To get yourself in the hospital?"
tfw ur still a dick even tho ur bf is in the hospital

The attendant would leave as soon Jason entered, leaving the two on their own. "Oh hey..." A quite greeting, crimson eyes trailing the redhead as he tossed a box at him. Earl Grey... The alabaster haired male would blankly stare at the box before Jason broke the silence.
A long sigh. "Not enough to be hit by a Cranidos..." He'd roll his eyes as he reclined back on the plush cot, arms crossed over his torso as he hyperextended his neck. "It was only a kiss...." He'd mutter slightly annoyed at the recollection. Where was that woman anyway? Who in the world reacted that way?
Even Jason didn't---Oh, wait. Speaking of which...
He'd raise his head and lift the tea pack, waving it questioningly as he turned to Jason. "And what's this? Couldn't you have made a cup...?" He'd toss it back at the redhead.
"Some shitty 'significant other' you are..." He'd scoff with a smirk spread across his face.
Jason cringes, recalling the events from yesterday. He hadn't seen a Cranidos, but from what the pictures showed, it was Lena's. To think that a ranger would attack another person -- and intoxicated, for measure, infuriates him. She's a trainer, not a ranger. If he had a say, she'd be fired. Rangers don't deserve that reputation, especially when it's because of someone who hasn't been there for longer than a couple months.
Anger aside, Jason leaves that thought for later and turns his attention towards Adrien. "Well I heard you were pretty wasted. Enough to propose to her." He snorts. He should've known that Adrien would do something like this eventually.
Jason catches the box in his hands. "It's tea. You preppy types like that kind of shit right?" He stands, waking over to place it on the table next to Adrien. He's much more of a coffee person. Jason maybe have gotten a random box off the shelf of the convenience store, but it's the thought that counts.
He snaps back at Adrien, although there's no bite to it. "You know it's rude to give back gifts." Jason stands over at Adrien's bed, hands stuffed into his pockets and leers over him with a smile.
"What do you want me to do? Give you another kiss?

While Adrien hadn't yet even touched the morning newspaper, word of yesterday's incident had already seemed to have spread like wildfire. "It wasn't real... I think I told her that--Tch. I don't even know her..." He'd get abnormally defensive as he tried to make sense, however wasn't able to as the details were rather hazy. And she definitely wasn't in his good books after that night. "Besidesyoureetesponsibleforthat..." A nearly inaudible mumble as he rolled his eyes and huffed, momentarily diverting his focus away from Jason. Frankly, he was. The spy drank that day to forget; to discard that uncertainly he felt about his sexuality after a certain encounter in Sangdem. And of all the people, it was this guy to show up today.
"I like it and no, you idiot. I meant you could've made me a cup of - - -" The redhead would interject another suggestion. Adrien would stop and blankly stared at the ranger as he stood besides his bed, taken aback for a second before...
"Heh... Or that works. You really want that second kiss, don't you?" His lips broke into a sly grin, practically taunting the man.
"Guess she didn't get the message." He shrugs. It's all over the news. A ranger gone rogue. Police brutality. Jason has heard of these stories, but he's never been present to see it. Now that he has...well, it's changed his perspective. Even he could be the subject of national debate one day, because of one incident.
He blinks. Adrien mumbles under his voice, looking a little irritated. He catches the word 'you'. He can assume the rest. Jason hadn't remembered treating him poorly during the festival. He quirks and eyebrow. "...What was that? Did I do something?" Jason says, taking the time to clarify before rushing to assumptions for once.
Jason doesn't move when Adrien pauses to stare at him. If anything, he edges closer, ready to spring away if anything goings awry. He's doing it. He's actually going to go gay. He's always been fairly sure of his sexuality -- at least, until Adrien.
It's been in the back of his mind ever since that kiss, a mass of confusion that he doesn't like to think about. And after a night of self-reflection, he decides that it's better to just try it and sort through everything later. An experiment. He laughs, from both embarrassment and amusement.
Jason's face heats up despite himself. His composure breaks. He looks at the wall off to the side, deftly avoiding Adrien's gaze and scratches at the back of his neck. It's now or never.

"It's... Nothing" The spy shook his head and sighed. How was he supposed to open such an awkward discussion? Aster had already done some damage by making him seem gay but to conform to that felt odd. Frightening, even. Besides, he didn't want to seem like a creep either, elated at the gesture of the redhead even visiting him (although he wouldn't admit it). Now why ruin that?
"And what if I did...?" "Huh?" Adrien's voice cracked a little, genuine shock aplenty in his tone before catching himself. Eyes stared up at Jason as he looked away, unable to process those words for a moment. It didn't help that Jason was exuding nervousness to the point that the silverette began reciprocating it.
"Uh, haha... Nice." He'd chuckle forcing random words out, now on the edge. He was expecting a comeback, mayhaps a few other jabs. That was the Jason he was ready to retort to. Crimson eyes shifed away from the man, darting restlessly around the room and away from Jason.
Perhaps he was overreacting. Maybe it was just another round of banter. Even so, twas enough to tongue-tie him, a hue of red now spreading across him face. Awkward....
"Heh...I don't know. Maybe? I mean..." He'd sigh, a hand raised to rub his temple as he looked out of the window. He didn't dare to look the ranger in the face now.
Jason quirks and eyebrow, but he doesn't push. He knows he can be an asshole at times, but not enough to make someone try to forget. Adrien's gay...right? He's with--oh. Trace. Or Aster. Whoever e was. Was Adrien with him? While it wasn't explicitly stated, it seemed as if they were a couple at the party.
Aster's responses are quick, one worded responses. With a glance up he can tell that Adrien's avoiding his gaze too, not quite comfortable with his presence. Jason comes to a realization. He's being too forward.
"Oh." They're suddenly too close. He stands up and takes a step away from Adrien's bed, recalling the hazy events from their second meeting. Trace had said they were dating. And he'd said that he was dating Isabelle.
While it seemed petty at the time, he hadn't realized how that might have hurt Adrien. Perhaps it was the fear of his sexuality that made him act that way, or maybe it's because he just wanted to prove his masculinity, but in the end his actions were unwarranted.
"I'm sorry, I'm making you uncomfortable. I forgot to tell you that Isabelle and I aren't really dating. And that you and Trace are..." He makes a motion with his hands, suddenly at a loss for words.

"No, I'm fine," He'd snap and lie promptly, brushing away any misconceptions that came to mind. The silverette's eyes turned back to meet Jason's at the mention of Isabelle and the ridiculous assumption that he and 'Trace' were together. "I see..." He'd mutter in regards to Isabelle and him. Despite the solemn response, he was somewhat relieved to know that. Although as to why the ranger was even telling him this was a bit strange.
"Trace and I... " His voice was slightly more louder now. "We aren't dating. He was pulling my leg after you spilt the beans." He'd sigh with a smile. Aster was a oddball, mayhaps even a little extreme, but a close friend nonetheless. "And frankly, I'm not into men. Never was. " He spoke with a matter-of-fact tone and then turned to the tea pack on the table, an excuse to evade his gaze.
"At least, that's what I thought... Until today. " While he spoke casually, his lips would twist into an awkward smile. The last of that was again another mumble. Fingers nervously ran through his silver threads, his face growing warmer as he somewhat managed to admit 'it.'
It was just a vague hint and yet he felt odd. With women any sort of confession was easier. Hell, he even proposed to one. But the awkwardness that came with accepting that he did indeed held feelings for another man made him feel like he just hit the reset button. He could only bank on Jason being too dense to get that.
"You didn't look fine." Jason snaps back, keenly aware of the awkwardness that'd laid heavily in the air the moment they talked about another kiss. He meets Adrien's eyes again, skittyish and practically ready to bolt out of the room. Perhaps he shouldn't have said anything at all. He didn't have to visit Adrien today.
But Trace and him weren't dating. It was all a joke, and Jason can't deny the intense feeling of relief at the revelation. His eyes widen when Adrien says he's straight, but his gaze never strays from Adrien's face, despite him looking somewhere else.
Until today. His confession is admittedly endearing. Jason can't help but give him a shy smile back approaching the bed with hesitant steps, "Well, I never thought I was into guys either but I guess we're both new at this..." He laughs awkwardly.
Jason's experience with relationships in itself extends no more than a couple months at most, despite the rumours. With Adrien it feels as if he's a teenager again, new and anxious and awkward. He hopes the novelty passes soon.

Crimson irides look up just in time to see Jason's lips break into a stupid smile. Fuck, he got it. He'd cringe, certain that he made the situation awkward. And then Jason spoke. The silverette's eyes lit up stunned that his confession was returned (albeit in a rather awkward if not adorable manner).
He'd return an awkward chuckle as Jason approached his bedside once again, his mind all over the place as to what happens next. "To what?" He'd abruptly speak up without forethought when Jason's voice trailed off. To date? To kiss? To what...?
Screw it.
"Yes! I mean, yeah... I don't mind, if you want to that is...?" He'd quickly continue, stiffly shrugging his shoulders as he smiled back at the redhead still unsure of what he was refering to. The tension between them now pretty much tearing him apart. Ugh, this was highschool all over again.
To what? Jason didn't even know himself. He's tongue-tied, grabbing at the straws but nothing comes. But Adrien affirms. He says yes. To whatever this is. His smile urges Jason on, to keep going despite the sheer uncomfortableness of the situation.
"To...to--" He huffs, suddenly changing directions. He takes to holding Adrien's face, taking a moment to consider if it's really worth it, and going for it as he delivers a gentle kiss. It's not as bad the second time around, with the intention to do so.
Blood pounds in his ears as he as he leans back, and he half expects Adrien to slap him or something, but Jason gets his words out quickly before anything else can happen.

He'd cock a brow as Jason struggled for words, the sight was amusing if anything. Had this not been a confession, the silverette would have probably tossed him a few snarky remarks. Thankfully, even the spy knew when to keep the banter in check; right now being one such moment.
"H-Hey... " He'd lean back slightly as Jason closed in, twitching ever so slightly when the redhead brought a hand up to his face. His face just got warmer with the ranger in such close proximity, holding his breath as to what was about to happen next.
And then he kissed.
For a second, the spy reddened up before allowing himself to enjoy the soft kiss. The stiffness dissolved and his shoulders slump. Alas it was a short one. Needless to say, the spy was a bit dissatisfied when the kiss broke abruptly.
The ranger would finally manage to end to proposal to date, although at this point it doesn't matter much. "You kiss and then ask?" He tittered shaking his head. The awkwardness began to wither away a bit. He'd clear his throat. "But yeah, let's date..." A nod of sorts as his lips pull taut. This was oddly elating. And still felt so...new.
"And uh... " The silverette would rub the back of his neck, eyes still glued to the redhead. "Just a minute..." His free hand would attempt to grab Jason's collar and yank him closer, ignoring the pain that came with twisting his torso. Adrien would try to lock lips with the ranger again, a longer, deeper and more satisfying one if allowed before pulling away.
A pause, excitement evident in his visage as he grinned. "That's how you kiss..."
Adrien stiffens under him as he reaches forward for a kiss, and Jason nearly pulls away in rejection, but then he relaxes. It's a shy one, sweet and short and Jason can't say that it feels very different compared to a girls' kiss.
He grins as Adrien agrees, warmth spreading from his stomach at the realization. And shrugs. "It got you to say yes didn't it?" Jason snorts. Maybe it's the tension that got them so caught up in the moment, but it's gone now. Adrien rubs the back of his neck, looking sheepish as he thinks of what to say.
"What--"
Jason's suddenly interrupted as he feels strong grip on his collar, pulling him towards Adrien. It's a deeper kiss, far more passionate than the first. When they break, he can't help but mirror his grin, touching a knuckle to the corner of his lip. Asshole.
