Oreburg gate at the late hours was anything but peppy. Dull, sullen and uninhabited Adrien had to deal with the paranoia of being mugged. He didn't exactly fit in walking through with a blazer. And so, tonight he had two pokemon by his side. Duskull took point while his abra was perched on his shoulder.
This was the final leg before he'd reach Oreburg. Hopefully, it wouldn't be eventful with a plethora of unpleasant situations popping in the silverette's mind. He wasn't a coward but alas extremely paranoid. Such that even the scuffling grass had his heart race. "Get ready..." He'd narrow his eyes as he awaited for whatever lurked within to show itself.

Out from the thicket sprang a teddiursa partnered with a natsu that came flapping after. Adrien needed just a second to judge their worth, neither pokemon appealing to him. "Abra, energy ball at the bear. Duskull, ice beam the other." He'd order the two as he calmed his racing heart. The abra would immediately charge a concentrated beam and hurl it at the bear pokemon and duskull followed suite with a adequately powered ice beam,
The bear type would fall back and off its feet as the attack made direct contact. The natu on the other hand, was about to teleport off and away when a damaging ice beam hit. It'd wince as the attack was super effective.
"Repeat." A single worded command as the teddybear pokemon attacked the abra with a series of fury swipes, the damage done negligible. As for the natu, well, it had not to chance to retaliate as the final ice beam finished it off. The teddiursa would follow its partner into a short slumber soon after.

"Nicely done," The silverette would quietly applaud both pokemon as he walked past the collapsed normal-pyshic duo. The dusksull would once again take point and that abra waddled right behind. This time, two silhouettes would emerge from the dark. One had a static coat about it while the other was a really... un-intimidating little sunkern.
He had already made up his mind.
"Same combination as last time. Abra, you're against the sheep," He'd dictate. The dusksull was the first to move, expertly evading an absorb attack as it retaliated with an ice beam. The grass type cringed although could do little but attempt anothet mega drain. The attack hit and leeched a decent bit of the dusksull's health.
As for the mareep, it was hit by a energy ball and had countered with a thunder shock. Again, it hit. "Repeat and finish," He found neither interesting and so, both pokemon would hit the cold, hard floor as another grass-ice combo struck them.

With a cold, chilling wind blowing every step of journey seemed eerie and had him on his toes. But after encountering a few pokemon, it became rather evident that the only presence prominent in these parts were the nocturnal pokemon that pranced about. And so, it wasn't long before Adrien was faced by yet another pair.
This time, Abra would face off against the bidoof while duskull would lunge forth at the bronzor. A perfect matchup. "Energy Ball. Night shade." Both pokemon would attack simultaneously and struck the duo causing a considerable amount of damage.
"Again."
This time however, the bronzor would evade another night shade and retaliate with tackle. Hit but not effective. As for the bidoof, it couldn't stand another energy ball and collapsed soon after. "Duskull. Night shade one more time." With a perfectly delivered dark attack, the bonzor would faint as well.

"Haaah," An exasperated sigh escaped the silverette's lips as he locked onto another pair of approaching pokemon. Sometimes training was exciting and at other instances, it was nothing more than a chore. Facing a zubat and kricketrot was indeed the latter.
"Duskull. Use Ice beam on the Zubat. Continue until it's finished." The Duskull would immediately comply and hover ahead. An ice beam would hit its mark perfectly, the zubat giving out a cringeworthy cry in response. As for abra... "You know what to do." There was only one thing the abra could do anyway.
Acknowledging its trainer's command, the abra would conjure another energy sphere and set it loose on the kricketrot. It hit, but type advantage made this a bad matchup. The kricketrot would counter with struggle bug and had the abra topple over.
A sigh again. This was not going well.
As for Duskull, it would quietly come hovering back - - a job well done as the zubat laid lifeless behind them "Abra. Energy ball again. Zubat assist with Ice beam" Both pokemon would gang up on the poor bug type, ending it soon enough.

They had nearby reached the end of the road when yet another pokemon showed up. Twas a murkrow that seemed to be hopping around on its own. "Duskull. Nightshade." A sneak attack would be executed as the ghost pokemon would show up from behind it and deliver a night shade attack. Frightened and amused by a well-deployed attack, the mukrow would flap away and off the ground and inturn alerted yet another pokemon.
A mienfoo would be alerted and come skidding out of its territory. "Ice Beam it" The silverette would call out to the darkness and the duskull would comply. "Abra, the murkrow." Immediately the abra would deliver and shoot the crow out the sky. Plummeting down, the bird pokemon would collapse upon slamming against the floor. Tch. Adrien would wince slightly, a little guilt of how he downed the crow evident.
As for the mienfoo, both abra and duskull would concentrate an energy ball and nightshade attack simultaneously and end it soon after.
