We are carnivore you know what we're coming for You got nowhere to hide So what you're running for? The type of creature that your papa used to warn you for | |
Pray tell that this gym won't be like the last. She wasn't good with rock types - those things had hell defence to work through. Grass types, they weren't too bad. All you had to do was crush right through them. While she had been expecting a nice, paved way like the rock gym, she was surprised to find a a jungle. The blonde let out a groan of distaste, slowly glancing over to find a clear path. Of course, there wasn't. Looks like we'd be doing this the old fashioned way.. She threw out her pokeball, sending out a purple pokemon who sported a witch's hat. "Mismagius, you can give me a lift yes?" She asked sweetly, prompting a soft sigh from the ghost type. She used psychic, lifting up the lazy trainer as they weaved their way to the clearing. Looks like she'd be spared of all the mess that she would have been force to be subjected to. "Thaaank you~" She chimed, being set down on the ground gently. Gardenia was standing at the top of a clearing, one that the lazy grunt hadn't a problem climbing. She gave her speech, and then the battled started. The first pokemon was an adorable Cherubi - so cute she could steal it. Irene recalled her Mismagius, tossing out the little Snorunt that she received not too long ago. First off, the grass type attempted to cast a leech seed. "Protect!" Snorunt casted a shield around itself, effectively causing the leech seed to bounce out like the worthless piece of seeds it was. "Ice fang!" And with that, The Snorunt left off it's back foot and came running to bite down on the cherry pokemon. De ja vu, wasn't it? But Gardenia wasn't going to let Snorunt land it. Rather, as Snorunt was running, it fell flat on it's face thanks to the grass knot. In a groan of annoyance, the girl recalled her pokemon. "Pumpkaboo! Incinerate!" The girl threw out her next pokemon, and said pokemon shot out a flaming ball of fire that successfully damaged the cherry. It was super effective, and the little Cherubi cried in pain. Gardenia clearly wasn't impressed, but Irene wasn't planning on letting it escape that easily. Another incinerate, and the little thing was down. Next pokemon was a Turtwig, who kept on using Withdraw and reflect - much her her own annoyance. Nothing that a confuse ray couldn't do, stopping it from the majority of it's further attempts to up it's own defence. "Burn it." Was all the instruction needed, and the Pumpkaboo chimed in delight as she shot out orbs of flames. Was she a pyromanic? Probably. But only this time, only this time. Before long, the Turtwig had exhausted itself from both the fire and confusion. Gardenia wasn't having fun anymore. Distressed, the woman sent out a Roserade. Personally, she thought that Gardenia would fall to her Pumpkaboo. Looks like she was wrong, because the damn rose sent out a poison sting that heavily damaged; and poisoned, the pumpkin. "And you were doing so well!" Irene huffed, watching as the Pumpkaboo winced in pain. "Trick-or-treat." She commanded, smiling in a confident manner. While Roserade had been taken 'trick or treating' with Pumpkaboo, the ace pokemon had launched another poison sting. Topped with the poisoned state, Pumpkaboo didn't stand a chance. On the bright side.. It added the ghost type to Roserade. Perfect. Gardenia was content seeing one of Irene's pokemon fall, however Irene had bigger plans. "You rest up, Pumpkin. Someone will avenge you~" And with that, she tossed out her third pokemon - Mismagius. Gardenia made haste for Roserade to launch a magical leaf - a move that grazed a rather annoyed Mismagius the moment she was sent out. "Magi, psybeam!" The ghost type shot a rainbow beam from it's mouth, successfully landing a heavy hit on the duel-poison type. "And now.. Astonish!" The ghost type disappeared, suddenly reappearing out of no where behind the Roserade while sending chills up it's spine. Gardenia stomped the ground in frustration, but now that Roserade flinched, Mismagius had yet another turn. Though Gardenia sprayed a potion on her beloved pokemon, that did little with what Irene was planning. "Finish things off with Psychic, will you dear?" That was a good run, and Mismagius coated the poison type in a pink aura. Up into the air, and then slamming it down into the ground to take even heavier damage. Roserade was out of combat, and so the battle ended. Irene quickly approached the reluctant woman, who swallowed her pride and congratulated the girl. Irene put on a pleasant smile, and then quickly exited. |
