Being the person she was, Victoria had a mild history with the pokemon league. They were strong and reliable if not questionable in their endeavors. Regardless the tandem that was being a gym leader was something that the woman understood; Standing watch and accepting gym challenges day in and out. It was a shame for the gym leaders of this region to remain so vigilant twenty four hours a day. That said, this would be one of the rare visits to any gym that Victoria was determined to challenge for her own benefit. The sun shined brightly in the early hours of the morning as a gentle breeze would flutter through the cascades of cyan hair on the woman's back as she made her way to the doorsteps of the building. Typically the woman would not have bothered to come so early for a challenge however there were less people in the morning and this was a necessary evil towards the next steps of her plans.
Unfortunately it appeared that her selection of gyms led her to a rather dank location, a tunnel leading towards the darkness of the cavernous depths. Wordlessly she endeavored forwards, her heels rhythmical echoing raps against the stone path as she approached what appeared to be the battlefield. Her heels would be signal enough for the gym leader who would turn to greet her, the pleasantries something she cared little for. There was an offer for a single battle issued, to which was what spurred Victoria to speak. "You have three, correct? Let's not stand on ceremony. A triple battle will suffice."
The gym leader paused to consider the proposal, Victoria standing stoically with folded arms as she awaited an answer. Eventually the statement on admiring the confidence was made followed by the acceptance of the proposal had the woman smirk in satisfaction. "Excellent. Shall we?" she gestured forward for him to release his undoubtedly restricted pokemon. Indulging her demands, Roark released all three of his pokemon that gathered together in a single file to which each were thoroughly inspected by the retired soldier. As she had expected, not much to be seen here. Not even worth her time had Galactic not required such frivolous trinkets as a sign of power. Unclipping the two pokeballs from her side and thrusting them before her, the volatile flashes of light would bring the appearance of Seadra and Cryogonal into view. This would end quickly and rather painlessly - at least on her own end - as she lifted her hand to create a crisp snap from her fingertips.
Hydro pump from the maw of Seadra thoroughly soaked the opposing side of the battlefield, each of the rock types cringing from being drenched. Not a second afterwards a flurry of ice would overtake the subterrane space, sheer cold imparting a rather drastic shift as each of Roark's pokemon would frost over meticulously akin to fragile sculpture. Roark looked on in horror, not a single move being called to retaliate rather than attempting to call off the match, not that this declaration would cause Victoria to flinch in any manner. "Hand over your badge and apologize for wasting my time if you value what little you can salvage here."
And that was that.
[attr="class","zv4"]O how he loves you, darling boy. O how, like always, he invents the monsters underneath the bed to get you to sleep next to him, chest to chest or chest to back, the covers drawn around you in an act of faith against the night.
