One shall not forget betrayal
The weather coming along the early morning on this monday was utterly atrocious. Rain and winds danced around the trees of the Eterna forest, sweeping drops between its thick foliage. The ground was muddy and cold, making any progress quite the challenge.
Rising his eyebrows, Nate gazed upon the reason behind his unplanned tracking route. Pampered in her colors of a grayish blue, a Misdreavous was floating along his side, with her precious red pearls shining throughout the dim light covered by such tall trees.
Fermina, this isn't exacly what i had in mind for my day off. I do hope this gets better later on.
It was made obvious the culprit found great enjoyment in looking at his master struggle his way, going as far as circling around him before leaving her maser far behind once the destination was visible.
A grand mansion stood before them, dark and sober as he had heard many stories about. The old chateau remained a mystery in many ways, even today. To whom belonged such a grand estate ? Why has it become haunted ? Why does it inspire such dread feelings that even veteran trainers avoid such place ?
Curiosity killed the cat, or so they said.
And Nate would probably meet such an end would he choose to dig too far. But his thirst for answer could not be repressed anymore. He had been waiting for such an occasion weeks on end back at the Rocket HQ, while caretaking miserable pokemon before their sale. He had been so excited about this trip that he let it slip to a few of his colleagues, hoping they wouldn't bail him out. Well, it's not he was doing anything wrong - though talking about wrongdoings while working in a criminal syndicate had its fair share of irony.
Nate made a small sigh for a second, while his petty Fermina entered the manor through the window with a slight giggle.
Will that little witch ever behave...
Upon opening the door he felt a metallic sound while trying to force his way. Nate blew a huff once he realised his situation... just his luck, the door was locked.
Seemingly to add insult into injury, the so far light rain started to transform into a full fledge downpour of water. Wonderfull.
He did throw his fist against the door, hoping someone or something might open it and prevent him from getting completely soaked, but he had little hope for that. The town was relatively close, but if he did not find a shelter he might as well sign up for a weeks worth of a cold.

note : I always do long introductions, don't mind me. I'll do shorter answers after this one.
