It'd had been a while since North had come to Oreburgh city, and the last time she came, she was only a small child. She really enjoyed when she came here, they had a small museum for fossil pokemon and some had even been revived when she was there. But she was here for a different reason this time. The mine.
She headed there to see what kind of pokemon inhabited the place. It would not surprise her that it would mainly be rock type pokemon and ground types. But she's heard of people finding water type pokemon down there.

It did not take long for North to find a pokemon in the mine, and to be quite honest she did not expect this pokemon to be so afraid when it saw her.
The wild geodude back up into a corner as the North aproached, however as she gotten closer to the pokemon, she realised not all was as it seemed. Behind the geodude was a piece of machinery that was used to dig in the mines, and upon close inspection she noticed the pokemon's arm was stuck between two metal bars.
Seeing this North sent out tempest, to help the wild pokemon. As the pokemon approached Gabite, it started to glow white but not the way it would when it would evolve. Noticing this Tempest backed up next to North. Looking at his trainer in confusion he needed confirmation on what to do.
"Use metal claw on the bar, but approach slowly and cautiously."
Following the instructions he approached slowly and used metal claw on the bar, slicing it in two allowing the pokemon free movement.
During this the geodude watched in caution as it prepared itself for a fight, but was shocked as it was free with a quick swipe from the gabite.
After the geodude expressed its thanks and gratituted towards gabite and Northh went further into the mine to see what she could find.

Once the geodude had run off, a sandile appeared from out of the floor, seemly upset. With Tempest still out looking at the pokemon did intimidate him since it was just damn ugly.
The sandile dug itself into the ground jumping out consistantly trying to attack Norths Gabite. And every time this happened Tempest tried to attack it with a dragon claw, but was too slow everytime causing him to miss.
Getting quite annoyed the next time the sandile entered the ground it started quaking. Tempest used earthquake despite the being underground. Luckily for them nothing happened as of yet, and the sandile did not reappear after that.
Satisfied that they were safe, North continued further into the mine looking for some more pokemon that live there.

Well whadya know, an electric type Pokemon was wondering around the place. Tempest was looking around, and spotted something more interesting than a little mouse pokemon. Ever since he evolved he has become much more lazy. Its a shame though, pretty sure that he would work up quite the appetite of after defeating the electric pokemon, but ever the less it gave North the chance to use Kurai to battle.
After sending on the evolved eevee, Kurai was still getting used to her new state as being superbly faster than she was before.
Wasting no time, North commanded her Jolteon to use swift on the unaware pokemon. Landing a direct hit on the pokemon it was knocked over. As it got up and looked where the attack had come from. It saw North and Kurai, and begun to attack them back, until it saw Tempest approaching the two.
The poor pokemon must of had a poor experiece with gible line, that as soon as it saw him, it turnt tail and ran into a small crack in the wall. Presumably created when Tempest used Earthquake earlier.
