"Yolo amirite?"
He whispered into the air, sighing slightly. So he did the only thing he really knew how to do. He sat down and rolled himself a blunt. Sucking in the sweet smoke be took his time blowing smoke rings in the air, blinking when his eyes got itchy and red.
He groaned, and stretched out his limbs when he got the end of his blunt, flicking the remainder into the dirt and stomping it out with his foot. He stood up and stared at the mountain, with a sense of trepidation.

North was coming down from the mountain to head to the Oreburgh City to battle the gym leader. It'd been a while since she had being out in the world but it felt great. North's eevee, Kurai was sleeping on her head as she carefully made her way down the landscape. She was following her trusty starter pokemon, Tempest the Gabite, she made way down the mountain.
Looking down she could see someone looking up at the them, unsure of whether she was looking at them or just the sizing up the mountain she called out to them anyway.
"Hello!!"
North's voice echo'd down the mountain and was loud enough to wake Kurai from her slumber. ” |

"Oh my god is the mountain talking?"
He had a horrified expression on his face for a moment before he glanced around again and caught sight of the person. Oh. He felt stupid now. His brain was a bit sluggish to respond but he waved at the woman and grinned lazily, leaning back against a large rock.
"Hey there! Thought the mountain was talking for a second, sorry."

North could only giggle to herself as she watched this person looking around frantically trying to find the source of the voice that spoke to them.
The man had noticed her and said hello to her. As jumped down from the ledge that she had safely gotten to Temp's help she could help but laugh. A good heartily laugh. One that she had not done in quite a while.
"Oh.. you're funny" She said still laughing.
Her eevee Kurai, tapping the top of her head, effectively telling her off. "okay okay, im sorry" North said apologetically to her eevee.
"Im North by tha way, its nice to meet ya"

"Oh right. Names. North? Interesting name, cool, I'm Jensen."
He held out a hand to shake, and grinned at her slightly awkwardly. He wasn't the best person to talk to after all. After a moment he dropped his hand, be it with or without the shake, and stared up at the mountain.
"So North, where you heading?"

A cool name huh?, to be honest north always thought her name was fairly common. She never thought of it to be cool, she just went with it since thats what her parents named her.
"So you are Jensen huh? Its nice to meet you!" She said whilst taking his hand for a hand shake since his hand was already outstretched. He quickly withdrew his hand after the shake had finished and had looked up at the mountain. Whilst doing so he asked her where she is going. "To Oreburgh City. we have some stuff to take care of there, mainly to get that first gym badge."She also wanted to know where Jensen was going, her curiosity got the better of her and she asked away. "Where are you going?"

"Heading....through the mountain actually. Feeling a little scared though not going to lie, I hear it's an absolute maze in there. YOLO though right?"
He brushed a hand through his pockets, eyeing the eevee with appreciation and thinking about his own pokemon. He had more than what he started with which was nice now, including the pokemon he'd traded for. Bootes seemed to have been getting a bit rowdy though, and jumped out of his pokeball.
The rattata eyed North, and climbed up Jensen's side to perch on his shoulder.
"Oh. Hey Bootes."

This guy was funny, North enjoyed his company all the more after he came out with the YOLO thing. The inside of the mountain was not that bad, atleast not to her atleast, but then again, Tempest was the one that had led her through the cave from entrance to exit.
"Its not that bad" North stated with a little giggle to his previous statement. "Its pretty much a 'Z' pattern from entrance to exit, just dont stray from the sandy path inside"
A small rattata appeared shortly after North had given her advice in getting through the mountain. The small rodent pokemon stared at North before climbing onto its trainers shoulders.
"Hi there little guy" North said waiving to the little guy. Even Kurai her eevee chirped in from the seat on top of Norths head. "Veee!"

He hadn't really meant to respond with that honestly, but there it was. Revealing he was high like some scrub. He pinched the bridge of his nose and swore under his breath, cursing his own existence for a moment. Bootes, seeming to ignore his trainers existential crisis, waved back at North and chittered.
"Bootes says hi... your eevee is cute by the way. Never seen one up close before."

"Hi Boots!" North said waving her hand at the small rat pokemon "How are youuu!!" She continued to play with the Rattata on his shoulder when he mentioned that her eevee was cute.
"I know right?, but you shouldnt tell her that or itll get to her head"
But to no succuss Kurai heard what jensen had to say, and started to puff out her chest, before the slipped of Norths head to the ground, only to scamper her way back up again.
North did also hear Jensen talkabout him being high but she did not care at all, enjoying yourself whilst you are young it the point of life. Live life to the fullest. Although one thing did catch her attention why was he going away from Oreburge surely he had his first badge thats why he was leaving. Her curiosity got the best of her so she had to ask.
"So im guessing you have gotten your first badge, which is why you are leaving Oreburgh"
