witness reports from all over the region has been flooding in about strange happenings at the three lakes. what's more perplexing is that these occurrences seem to be happening spontaneously at the lakes. just moments ago, a burst of light erupted at the locations and residents in the vicinity have reported that the lake-side pokemon have turned aggressive and attack on sight.
However, there have been rumours and sightings of the legendary lake trio which has had trainers flocking in from all over the region.
[attr="class","monbody"]she entered the route with the next city in mind. she'd soon try out her first gym battle. it'd be interesting to see how her pokemon would react to the change of settings. first thing is first, she'd search for more pokemon willing to take upon the responsibility to enter her party and fight besides her. she's had many friendly encounters and thus hoped for it to stay the same as she walked down the rocky lane.[break][break]

[attr="class","monbody"]it didn’t take long for the ranger to find a contrasting silhouette amongst the monochrome setting. the pokemon remained hopping around, its yellow color painted taar a nice picture. for a second, she thought they might be a powerful addition to the team. with hale by her side, she approached the creature. when the chingling caught her motion, it opened its mouth widely. her grin formed due to the gesture, faded when she heard her pancham’s cry. apparently it wasn’t anything like a welcome to their property. she stepped back to the attack as she grabbed her disturbed pokemon from the ground. taar got out from danger zone as fast as she could not to subdue hale to anymore painful strikes.[break][break]
[attr="class","monbody"]taar roamed the rocky sighting, holding an empty bottle where once rested every drop of fresh water she had been wishing for. the unfortunate occurrence happened due to hale’s snooping around her backpack for food, after she already ate a handful of berries prior to bumping into the chingling. the pancham dropped her opened bottle into the ground, spilling what was left of her water supply; she still had her ears withered due to taar’s disappointment look, although the ranger couldn’t blame the other for having forgotten to put the lid on. “any minute now and i’ll stop thinking about it.” she meant the water, completing to herself. she just needed something to keep her occupied enough to trace around every sight of thirst on her brain.[break] taar stopped when catching a glimpse of an agitated feature following her pace. it took a while for it to come out of hiding, but soon enough with the help of the pokedex she was informed of the newly found vulpix. she smiled at its likable face, doing her hardest not to startle it by complimenting too much. yes, such insecurity exists. “you don’t look like you’re from here.” orbs scanned the pokemon with suspicion as they did the same once it caught her voice. both remained like that up until hale cry out in annoyance and break the odd bubble force around them. “do you have an owner?” she referred to how in ease the pokemon stood by the sight of a human begin. she squinted to the vulpix, changing her position and sitting on the hard ground in front of the wild one. “hm.” she grinned in realization. “you ran away.” the vulpix turned his head to the side pretending to be more interested on the rock that sat on the otherwise empty road. “i can see you’re hurt. of course you ran.” she whispered as if no one else could hear their conversation. “don’t worry i can keep a secret.” she smiled to regaining their attention back. the ranger searched for the potions on her bag, eyes closed onto the motionless pokemon. when the purple container was shown, she explained. “this will make you feel better…” she sighed to the lack of response. “trust me?” hale jumped in to try adding some pokemon perspective herself. it seemed to work. taar smiled thankfully to her partner, immediately spraying the potion when the vulpix cried out. the wild pokemon took a step back and jumped to meet taar’s arms. “hey, glad i could help.” she stroked its fur. and stroked it. one last time and she would let go. just one more time. hale complained once again, taking vulpix into a corner and starting a very serious conversation in which taar got nothing from. soon the two came and the panda went gracefully to her trainer’s bag and took out an empty pokeball and handed it to her. taar expressed utter confusion up until the vulpix cried in excitement. before throwing the ball she stared at her starter, hugging it tight. “thank you. from now on you can spill as much water as you want.” she grinned, turning to the soon to be member of her team. “ready?” when the nod was seen, she threw the ball. both waited expectantly for the beep. upon hearing the sound, lips twisted into a gleeful look. [attr="class","monbody"]she entered the last path of the rocky road to eye a distinct pokemon cutting some grass for apparently no reason; she pursued her new finding, even though thirst tried to overrule her intentions, once in a while suggesting for her to simply ignore her search and head to the city, where there was water. [break]taar plucked her pokedex out of her pocket extracting the details of the pokemon in front of her, whom had already detected her and stared with dull eyes, but did not flee. she cleared her throat, speaking softly. “you look interesting. what are you doing over here?” the pawniard looked at the cut grass and back, no expression added. “do you maybe… want to join me and my team...?” she slowly slouched over the stranger creature, they looked fiercely confident once they heard the invitation. “pawnii.” the shrieking sound of their blades caused taar to step back as her palms covered her ears. they positioned to battle and smiled. “ah. so we should compete for you heart, uh?!” a grinned remained on both frames as she called out hale to battle.[break]the panda entered on battle mode, waiting for the command as she watched the other pokemon use torment, meaning she was unable to use a move twice in a row. “slash.” the confidence on both parties had them bumping into eachother’s similar move. fighting to jump away from the threat, hale obeyed once again and used sky uppercut as it was demanded by its trainer. finally, they did some damage and soon taar would request for a vital throw in which was blocked by the pawniard’s metal claw. the ranger stared, the decision she would definitely catch that pokemon stumbling on her head. they used the same move as before, but giving the first one, hale couldn’t do the same. “sky uppercut!” as pawniard dodged both stared down tiredly. the wild one kneeled, paying its price for the attack it had received. hale stood still, breathing heavily through its mouth.[break] taar ended the battled there after giving both some nice treats to thank them for the battle. the pawniard stared disappointed at themselves to the ground and soon the ranger sat before him with the pancham besides them smiling with glee. “don’t worry. we’ll train really hard and you’ll win a thousand battles with me.” those were high numbers she spoke of with certainty. when the other responded more enthusiastically, she grabbed the pokeball and threw it, to exit the route with two more friends.[break][break]
