Youngster Artemis

[break]Artemis, from a very young age was meant for something; at least, that's what his parents told him. They were well off, and they had made their fortune from owning businesses. Of course, they wanted their son to follow suit but something else called out to the young blond haired boy. He wanted to train pokemon. He wanted to be something more than some shut in business type. Of course his parents wrote him off as simply daydreaming, big dreams for a young boy, and soon enough he would come around. They told him day in and day out that he'd never be good at training, and of course that had but one effect. He wanted to do it more.[break]

When a boy meets a girl

[break]Artemis was fifteen and whilst he still had his dreams, he just...never went out and did it. He fell into place, and while he was good at it - he hated his life. It was boring, filled with nothing but monotone whispers, deals from here to there. It hadn't been soon after that he met a girl. Was that a spark he felt? He wasn't sure, but he wasn't going to let this opportunity pass, at least he would have said that but the girl had made the first move. She was kind, soft spoken and nervous. This, albeit adorable, set a false sense of pride in the young man that would send him on a terrible road.[break]

[break]Still, he treated her perfectly - gifts, his time and attention. He was sure this was what love was...right? He told himself that, but as time passed hen realized something. She was only ever around when she wanted something - new clothes, phones, trips. He hated the feeling that that realization set in his gut. It hurt, and it warped him. He would NEVER feel that way again and of course, what better way than to use them first. His false sense of pride and utter lack of social awareness set him on this path. He broke up with the girl, and continued to work for his parents. They felt that he had finally seen the error of his ways. Alas...how wrong they were.[break]

Adulthood

[break]Artemis had spent his time, learning the region...the best path to travel to attain his dream. To be away from his parents, that city, that life..."Besides, can't be much of a playboy in the city you grew up in...right?[break]
