A beautiful lake.
It stretched before her, the noon sun shining brightly. Her fingers reached down, softly running through the water. A gaze that was normally blue like the lake, was a bright golden shade. Her ever changing contact lenses were one of the few things that she actually had fun with as of late. The stress of the journey was making most of the things she enjoyed taste like blood in her mouth. But still, she had gone on, and started it. The ranger cadet was wondering if it had been the right time for her to have started a journey like this, a sigh escaping her. There was just too much she didn't know for sure, and honestly she kept doubting herself. Mostly because she hadn't quite found exactly her own meaning for the journey.
Having deemed the water not too cold, she straightened her posture, no longer crouched. Easily, she lifted a foot, and undid the shoe, and then slipped off the knee high sock. Shifting her weight, she did the same to her other foot, before placing them near the water's edge. Her backpack was on the ground too, even as she shrugged off her long black coat. It was easy to slip off her shirt, and wiggle out of her pants after that, taking the white dress she had laid out and slipping that on. Making sure the blanket was well set up, along with towels for when she was done, the ranger turned to her partner pokemon. The Houndour padded over, and as she was petting it, it settled on the blanket. ''Keep an eye on my things, would you?'' she said softly. The pokemon barked, and the blonde smiled.
Slowly, she waded out into the water, until she was at least knee height in it. She softly swayed, but slowly began to walk around the bank of the lake. She had figured a break like this would do her some good, as the water cut past her knees. The soft sounds of nature, the tranquil air around her, and the sloshing of the water that she was moving. Something like this could relax her, more so then anything else in the world. She had always felt more assured in nature then she had with people, and it was one of the few rare things that could make her relax completely, no matter what. A small smile started to play on her lips, the tension slipping away as her long blonde locks were shifting with her movements, free in the small breeze.
Perhaps, if someone saw her, they would think of her as a ghost, or maybe even a faerie, if they were to believe such a thing.
