Lets destroy each mistake that we made
There's no pride in sharing scars to prove it
PARTY
Orvis took in a sharp breath, followed by a whistle as he saw just how beautiful it was inside this gym. Everywhere he looked were vibrantly coloured plant life and juicy berries just waiting to be picked! Gardenia on the other hand, who too was beautiful, had a sense of danger about her. Orvis knew better than to judge a book by its cover, he had to make sure to let the lady's looks fool him.
She grinned and sent out a small pokemon, a cherubi that looked ever so adorable.
"I hope this battle's fun, go Chaac!"
Sent out first was the castform, who was commanded to use sunny day at once, followed by a fire blast. The flames rocketed forwards and slammed into the ground where the cherubi once was, though had quickly jumped out the way. How was that thing so fast?!
"Hahaha! Thank you very much, Cherubi here gets faster in the sunlight, dear. Now my blossom, use leech seed and grass knot!"
Smiling, the grass type flung out seeds which started sapping Chaac's health before calling forth blades of grass to coil around Castform and slam it to the ground. Luckily it did little damage.
"Damn. I'd use rainy day to lower it's speed, but then that means Castform would be at the disadvantage... Well Castform, just keep striking it with fire blast!"
Castform made a cute squealing sound, fire once again erupting from it as it fired downwards. Flames exploded everywhere, so even if the Cherubi was much faster, the arena was only so big. The cherubi was blasted back by the force, rolling over and over until she hit a large tree stump. As the flames faded, the cherubi was revealed to be knocked out.
Gardenia hastily withdrew the pokemon and sent out turtwig, to which Orvis responded by switching out with Heatmor. The fire type slammed his chest excitedly and prepared for the fight. Turtwig began with reflect, followed by a razor leaf attack.
"You really are a grass specialist huh?"
Orvis chuckled, shouting out the next commands. This was a lethal attack and Orvis was worried if it might burn all the plant life inside but...
"Inferno!"
Heatmor roared as the heat washed over the battle field, flames exploding from his wrists and mouth as it rolled towards Turtwig like a boulder.
"Now use fury swipes!"
One fire type attack wouldn't finish it off, even with the sun boosting it. So Vulcan ran forwards, claws outstretched and started scratching at the turtwig as hard as he could, eventually making it faint.
"You're quick to attack, I'll give you that much."
Last but not least was Roserade, beautiful but deadly. From his flowers exploded yellow pollen, stun spores paralysing Heatmor before he was pummelled by poison sting.
"Quick, get up and attack!"
Heatmor tried, but he was unable to move, the most he could do was use lick on roserade, paralysing it in return. Then came the poison sting again, knocking Heatmor out.
"Well, I wasn't expecting that."
Smirking, Orvis sent in his Skarmory, this should be interesting.
"Metal sound and air cutter!"
Skarmory screeched, the ear splitting sound ripping through the air as it kicked up dust upon striking the opposition. Shortly after, a blade of air slammed against Roserade with such force that it was knocked up into the air and landed with a deafening thud.
"Oh no! I'm so sorry I didn't mean to do that!"
Gardenia sighed and rolled her eyes, withdrawing her pokemon and approaching Orvis, holding out the badge.
"It's fine! That's what a battles supposed to be, though I would've liked it to last longer..."
