major news alert!
witness reports from all over the region has been flooding in about strange happenings at the three lakes. what's more perplexing is that these occurrences seem to be happening spontaneously at the lakes. just moments ago, a burst of light erupted at the locations and residents in the vicinity have reported that the lake-side pokemon have turned aggressive and attack on sight.
However, there have been rumours and sightings of the legendary lake trio which has had trainers flocking in from all over the region.
Just because his kids were now on their own adventures, didn't mean he couldn't carry on living his own. Joseph, father of four, ranger and husband was on his way to see an old friend of his. Though of course this friend lived in the middle of nowhere and getting to him was a pain. Luckily, he had some time to spare so decided that he might as well catch a few pokemon on the way there.
"Ingo, don't go running too far off!"
The magby was an adorable pokemon but was also somewhat of a child at times. he ran off, made messes and occasionally played tricks on Joe. It was the first pokemon he ever got and even though they had been together for a while, the magby hadn't evolved yet.
As Ingo toddled up ahead, he yelped out in pain as something sharp had dug into his foot. Joe quickly ran over, though had to stop when he noticed all the spikes scattered across the ground.
"Ingo, what did I just tell you? Don't go too far off!"
Clearly annoyed that magby didn't listen to him, he sighed before noticing the cacnea staring at them as it jumped towards Ingo with needle arm.
"Woah, where did he come from?! Never mind, Ingo use smoke screen and feint attack!"
The area was filled with a thick smoke, shrouding the area as Magby darted forwards and dashed through cacnea with an ethereal force. Cacnea, who was totally blind, attempted to hit Magby with payback but missed rather badly, punching a small rock instead. Roots then ingrained themselves into the ground as it started to heal cacnea over time.
"Uh oh, keep using feint attack!"
Ingo's body flickered from solid to gas, his body becoming somewhat ghost like as he punched the cacnea multiple times. Once satisfied that the grass-type was weakened, he tossed a pokeball forwards at cacnea.
"Well, guess I'll keep this one for myself."

Ingo was hurt by the spikes ! Ingo was hit by needle arm ! Ingo used smoke screen ! Ingo used feint attack ! Cacnea used payback ! It missed ! Cacnea used ingrain ! Ingo used feint attack x2 !
Picking up the pokeball, Joeseph would sheepishly stuff it in his waist pocket. Hell yeah, this old man's still got some style! He was rather impressed at himself actually, being able to catch pokemon wasn't easy, yet lots of experience and ranger training definitely stuck with you.
"Okay Ingo, shall we keep moving?"
Magby cheered, continuing to walk down the route but this time, a lot closer to Joseph (like had originally asked for). It didn't take long before another pokemon had jumped out, this time however, Ingo would get the first strike in!
"Well, being as there's only one thing to do with this one... Sunny day and lava plume!"
The spinda looked over at them curiously, stumbling around like usual. Quickly, hot rays of sunlight were beating down on them, followed by Ingo's extremely explosive attack. His body rose in temperature, the ground around him cracking slightly until...
'BOOM'
An explosion of lava erupted into the sky, wild pokemon nearby flying away from them. Anyone close by would be able to see the tower of magma as it reached its peak in the sky. Then, like a waterfall, it came crashing down on top of the wild pokemon with such force that it burned it with ease.
Clearly angry, the spinda began dancing all over the place, a strange coloured light radiating from its body. That's when Joe realised it was using teeter dance. Poor Ingo had fallen victim to the move and was stumbling all over the place too and was unable to dodge the dizzy punch that followed.
"Ah... Okay Ingo, time for you to switch with Zinc."
Two flashes of light and the magnemite was hovering quietly above the ground.
"Magnet bomb and zap cannon, quickly."
Magnemite's eye flashed red before its body vibrated and formed static charge all over it. Small orbs of metal were fired off, slamming against the opponent before a large orb of electricity had been formed which fired at Spinda with great speed. The attack struck it perfectly, the force knocking the pokemon up before it fell down with a thud.
