major news alert!
witness reports from all over the region has been flooding in about strange happenings at the three lakes. what's more perplexing is that these occurrences seem to be happening spontaneously at the lakes. just moments ago, a burst of light erupted at the locations and residents in the vicinity have reported that the lake-side pokemon have turned aggressive and attack on sight.
However, there have been rumours and sightings of the legendary lake trio which has had trainers flocking in from all over the region.
Destructive, crass, rebellious were a few words that described a Ms. Eretria Vexus. He'd gauged her at the obstacle course and while she seemed like a promising unit she was far too out of control to make use of. That being said, Ms. Vexus was indeed what a grunt should have been in terms of pure power, in fact, she'd surpassed the ideal grunt in that particular category and having that power under his control would be a boon. Especially if she continued to grow at the rate in which he'd viewed in her files. This woman was far different from those he'd invited into his office thus far, Athena worked internally and through words alone he was able to acquire her power and vice versa. Caine as well could be described as someone who worked primarily off of intellect and so he'd acquired the boy accordingly. This was the first time in a long time the man expected to clash with someone in a bout of pure power.
Needless to say, it wasn't for her less admirable traits that Aster called the woman in today, although that had certainly worked as a fine means to force the woman onto the playing field. Eleven as always perused through the large enough space hiding in the shadows of the various bookcases and other stands in the office even meandering to his master's shadow a time as time passed. This was where the ghost pokemon had built its base and the natural aura of the pokemon definitely chilled the room enough to unnerve almost anyone who entered regardless of the reason, it was a fine symbiotic relationship. That wasn't to say the Admin wasn't more than threatening enough.
It'd been about an hour since he'd sent the order down through the girl's father himself to have the younger woman appear before him. He didn't exactly care for the doting father's thoughts on the matter and so he'd paid little attention to the man at the time, instead pushing off to complete one of his many other tasks. As it neared the specified meeting time and so Aster would have the documents on his desk removed as to give Eretria his full undivided attention when she arrived.

Perhaps a peaceful and quiet room, air heavy with a thick aura of sorts, maybe the admin was happily reading through some notes with no distraction at all. Hah yeah, fuck that.
“YOOO! Daddy darling said you called me, eh? Whatchu want?”
Eretria, dressed in her regular attire, definitely not leaving anything for the minds imagination, barged through into the office letting the doors swing open as she plucked the lollipop in her mouth with a satisfying ‘pop!’. Walking in, she’d glance around the room with a distasteful look, clearly judging Aster’s office.
“You spend most o’ yer time in here?”
It was shocking to her, how someone could work in such a dull environment, not to mention the fact the office seemed to suck the very life out of her. Of course, Daddy taught her to be kind and have manners. She smiled at Aster (or at least tried to look like she was interested).
“Yeah, real nice office you got here...”
‘Pop!’
Licking her lips, she’d once again pop the lollipop back into her mouth, moving it from side to side with her teeth as she headed towards the chair near Aster’s desk. Hopefully this wouldn’t be too long, she saw a guy just around the corner that she wanted to beat up, no idea why she wanted to, he just had one of those faces.
Making herself at home, she’d cross her legs and slouch back on the chair slightly – no point being uncomfortable in an interview or whatever the hell this was.
“So puddin’, Daddy told me you have some questions.”
[attr="class","LastCross"] he enters the room in a manner that was far more grandiose than anyone ever had prior. Those who had the authority to enter his vicinity and such a manner were wise enough not to, and the ones that didn't were smart enough not to, that is excluding Ms. Eretria Vexus. While her presence was off putting to an extent the Admin keeps his compsure neither amused nor seemingly angered by the woman's presence. She plucks the candy from her mouth as she introduces herself and gives reason for being here commenting on the style of his office all the while. Still managing to lack any sense of grace, still he hadn't called her hear for her grace, no he had far more planned for the mannerless grunt.
"Vexus, I've received numerous complaints and reports concerning infighting, failure to adhere to protocol, counts of light treason, and even a case of arson. Could you explain to me why I seem to get some report from some branch of our organization concerning your behavior daily?"
Piercing golden eyes hone in on the woman regardless of what it was she wore waiting for some kind of response knowing there was no excuse that could answer for her conduct. Perhaps they both knew, no now he she'd respond, would she be brave and foolhardy or would she remain calm?
"Tell me Eretria why do you fight? Do you have even have reason?"

The moment his mouth opened and words started pouring out, she knew this would just be another one of those things where more important members just talked her ears off. Well, it wasn’t like she was a stranger to this type of stuff. Ever since she was young people would tell her off, except this time she couldn’t exactly threaten Aster to get her Daddy on him. So she just sat there and listened to the reports of her ‘bad behaviour’.
Nodding her head, Eretria would confirm all the stuff he was saying. In fact, she was also smiling about it, like she was proud of all the stuff she was doing.
“Yup, sounds about right… Except for the arson, unfortunately that weren’t me.”
She scoffed, eyes widening at the sudden realisation of just how much ruckus she had been causing lately, well to be fair, she had always been causing ruckus since her first few days here.
“Blimey… Daily? Wow I bet I’ve set some kinda record huh, sugar? Oh my god have I actually set a record?”
Her laugh echoed through the office, it was terrifying and slightly manic along with her wild eyes and twitching body. It was sometimes like watching a bug pokemon, the way she twitched like she was waiting to pounce on something, ready to spring into action at any moment.
“Do you even have reason?”
Quickly stopping, Eretria’s dead gaze would fall onto the two golden orbs of Aster’s. Her mood changed alarmingly fast, her body stiffening in the seat as her jaw clenched, crunching the lollipop instantly as the stick fell to the floor.
Reason.
It was something that was pushed to the back of her mind, everything she hated went there until it mutated and twisted into something even more negative, monstrous even. Eretria could talk about how she wanted to be stronger, so everyone would love her - making up for her lack of friends as a child. She could tell him about her Mother who suddenly vanished, yet she knew nothing about her. Perhaps she might just spill out her whole life story there and then. But no, her lips slowly parted as she drew in a sharp breath. All she told him was one word.
[attr="class","LastCross"] er mannerisms and expression changed as he finished a venemous glint in her eye now. The lolipop she played with was crushed beneath her power. Good. The Admin wasn't finished her anger igniting a certain spark in his own eye something sadistic grew. He'd snap his fingers and a familiar blue glow would begin to engulf her body Gengar rising from the shadows it's eyes glowing just as she seemed to. The psychic move wouldn't immobilize her entirely, but it'd keep her still. It was precautionary if the girl acted rashly to his next few statements he wished to keep his office in order. There was a time and place for everything, after all.
"Then allow me to give you one."
The man would tap a few buttons on his phone until a dial tone rang throughout the room.
An immediate pickup...
"Sir!" A voice rang out through the device more than loud enough for his guest to hear. "Prepare Mr. Vexus for permanent termination, don't harm him until I give the command." His expression is neutral but that glint in his eyes, something says he's enjoying this playing with this woman's fate. Showing her exactly how helpless she was. "It'll be done Lord Aster."
The line cuts leaving Aster in the room with the woman alone once again, "Eretria each action, each move you make in this world has a consequence. Typically we'd simply let you both go, but your father's worked with us for too long. He simply knows too much. It's a shame we have to let him go like this." The man would walk around his desk now moving closer to the girl leaning against the structure now.

A movement in the shadows, quick and sneaky. A gengar materialised from the darkness, a blue light shrouding it before the same strange energy was seen around Eretria.
"The fu- wOAHH!"
Soon she was floating in the air, being held still by the psychic powers as she thrashed around, kicking and shaking her fists. But all she did was float around as if she were in space, not moving from the position she hoovered above, just the occasional spin.
"What the hell are you doing?! Just you wait, when Daddy hears about this he won't be happy!"
Her violent nature once again dropped as soon as Aster started speaking. The scum had her Dad, her eyes already started to sting a bit from the tears, though not so much it was noticeable. Her heart, for the first time in her life, had dropped. No words could come out from her mouth, all she could do was stare at Aster in horror.
"You do anything to him. I swear to god if you lay one finger on him!"
Her tone was different, laced with venom and not a single waver in her voice. Eretria looked at Aster dead in the eyes, not blinking once. She had never felt like this before, sure she had been mad but this... This was much more different. Much more sinister.
"If you do anything to him, anything. I promise you that you'll regret it."
[attr="class","LastCross"] e'd tilt his head ever so slightly as the woman made her threats. Before gesturing at gengar to lower the girl. The psychic energy wouldn't as much disperse as it did bring her to the ground almost as if the gravity around her had intensified, she'd be forced on a knee as the Admin towered over her.
"I will, will I?" He'd give a scornful laugh. "You can't control yourself in the base, you rely on your strength and you say you'll make me suffer, but you can't even save yourself." His lingering gaze was cruel as he knelt down on the girl's level. His hand would grab her chin tilting it making sure the woman met his eyes.
"If you choose to follow a path of power, then make sure you're the absolute strongest. Make sure your power is unquestionable, only then do you have the freedom to do whatever you want. If not hone your other skills, teamwork, compromise, communication, wisdom. Power isn't only physical in nature." This experience regardless of how it ended would be a lesson for the girl.
He'd release the girl from his grip before standing tall once again. I'm not a merciless man, let's make a deal. a one on one battle in the training arena. If you're able to beat me I'll release your father I'll even become subservient to you. If I win your father and your life belong to me." Ironically enough there would be no compromise here, no terms of negotiation this was the deal. Or she'd sacrifice her father's life.
Eretria was now grounded, her feet crushing against the force of the psychic as she was forced to kneel, her chin being pulled up to face the arrogant scum bag. Eretria, being the coward she was when it came to facing much tougher opponents, hung her head down, staring at the ground once Aster's finger left her face.
She didn't know what to say, what do do. The woman is unable to move and her options were limited. But really?! Fight the man? She knew it was a death wish, there was no way she'd be able to win but... Either way Daddy was in danger, she had to at least try.
"Well as soon as you get this damn psychic off my ass, then I'll be able to fight."
[attr="class","LastCross"]nd so she'd agreed to the match. What was once pride, arrogance in those purple eyes of hers. That disrespect she'd insisted on showing had turned to shame upon the challenge. Perhaps she was beginning to realize the truth to his words. She hadn't the means do anything she'd wanted and so now she'd be punished.
"He'd stand from his knelt position moving toward the door. I'll be seeing you in the arena Ms. Vexus, you have 30 minutes to prepare. Gengar will of course be accompanying you." He'd move toward the door leaving his office. Two grunts would enter as he left to restrain the girl if necessary as Gengar's psychic would end. If the girl acted rashly the gengar would put her back under the technique. If the rambunctious grunt had any preparations to make she'd be allowed access to all healing facilities and the like, to prepare for the battle.
30 minutes later.
Aster would find himself on the battlefield his own lead Tyrantrum itself had taken the call to action Dinosaur hadn't fought in a minute and was more than ready to stetch its legs. The dragon type was thankful for the opportunity to show its strength just as it had in days of old before things had gotten so complicated with his trainer and their life together respectively.
He'd call across the battlefield waiting for the girl to summon her pokemon, "You're allowed the first move, make it count Vexus."
Why was he doing this? Out of all people, why her? She just wanted to get up and run, like she always did when things got tough. Eretria knew when she couldn't win and this was exactly one of those moments. The young woman chose her battles carefully, the ones where she stood a good chance of winning.
Hands cuffed, reputation shattered and her cocky attitude wavering, Miss Vexus was escorted out the area followed by that ghost. There was the opportunity to go to the PC but, that wasn't necessary, she had everything she needed on her.
But she did want a rest. Sitting down in a quiet room, filled with PCs and healing equipment, Eretria was beginning to calm her nerves. Where did that attitude go? Why was she suddenly a quiet little pichu? it was pathetic and she knew it. She jumped up quickly from her seated position, making the Gengar jump a little as if she was about to attack him. If Aster wanted a fight, he was going to give it to him. With every ounce of attitude and power she had.
Escorted to the arena, Eretria set her gaze on the towering fossil dragon pokemon. After having the cuffs taken off, Eretria would instinctively reach down to Trixie's pokeball. She was her partner in crime, a friend she could always rely on. But before her fingertips could even brush the surface, a flash of red light appeared before her.
"Gino? What the fuck?!"
Gino the gulpin had appeared, staring at her intently with a passion in his eyes that she had never seen before. In fact, it was slightly scary to see him in such a way other than docile and clueless.
"You... Want to fight for me?"
"Gulpin!"
That's all she needed, a quick reassuring cry from her pokemon. Smirking, she'd rub her mouth and assume the appropriate stance.
"Well then Gino... Toxic and stockpile!"
The gulpin barrelled forwards, rolling like a boulder before leaping into the air about 10 feet from the opponent. Hurling back and spitting a large AoE spray of toxic poison. Shimmering slightly, his body would grow by a few inches as nutrients and energy was stored inside him, increasing his defence.
He heard everything. The conversation between them, the break in Eretria's voice as she spoke. Even the threat to 'get rid of' her Father. Gino had a personal bond with her father in fact, spending a lot of time with him in his experiments and field work.
So when Gino found out his daughter was going to be needing a pokemon, he did of course make it clear he wanted to accompany her. Then, he felt useless. She didn't love him, not the same way she loved that noivern of hers. He had always been the useless one, only ever sent out as a last resort.
This would be different.
Fire burned within him, ready to give it everything he has. Gino would show Eretria just how much he loved her, just how much he cared for his team.
Even if he didn't win, he wanted to win her approval.
