witness reports from all over the region has been flooding in about strange happenings at the three lakes. what's more perplexing is that these occurrences seem to be happening spontaneously at the lakes. just moments ago, a burst of light erupted at the locations and residents in the vicinity have reported that the lake-side pokemon have turned aggressive and attack on sight.
However, there have been rumours and sightings of the legendary lake trio which has had trainers flocking in from all over the region.
[attr="class","textieno"] So she's received word that Floraroma town has been burnt to crisp. [break][break]
Burnt to a god damn crisp. [break][break]
They had one job. Just. One. Fluffing. Job. It was to.. Oh, I don't know. How about not destroy the entire god damn town? Way to not attract attention Team Galactic. It almost matched up Team Rocket's flashy entrance into Sinnoh with the take over of Jubilife City. Almost. Had it not been a totally stupid idea of 'displaying power', it probably would have been pretty impressive. But now, how the hell were they going to attract pokemon with the honey? Honestly.. She hadn't the slightest clue of what those bluenettes were planning in those thick skulls they had. Hell, she actually liked the flowers that were always dancing in the soft breeze. Probably one of the only places where she could enjoy peace without growing bored out of her damn mind.[break][break]
And then some idiot thought it'd be a great idea to burn it down. Now she was the unlucky recruit who had to go dow a scouting around because she just looked that innocent. What? Usually, you'd think that someone all thug like and suspicious would be part of Team rocket. Who the hell suspects the pure, fluffy trainer who practically oozes out cuteness and innocence? Like, no one. Ever. Maybe sometimes, but that negative thought is easily cast aside after a few tears are shed and insistence happens. Of course, assuming that sone would know how to play their card right. For now.. She needed to go from base to Floraroma town. Though usually there would be a short cut, everyone failed to tell her that she would need to get god damn rock smash before headed off. So now, she was stuck scurrying back from that one cave and back to Jubilife so she can head to knock the gym leader silly, and then go back to investigate. Hooray. More work. Clearly, she wasn't fond of this idea. [break][break]
Her self wallowing ended there, as she felt her Shuppet pop out of it's pokeball to float around her playfully. "Okay.. What do you want?" Her voice snapped at it, glaring daggers as she wasn't in the most beautiful of moods right about now. "I'm not.. In the mood right now, okay? I have to go all the way back and get a gym badge.. Just because some ignorant fools failed to tell me about something.. Didn't need any HM they said.." In response to her grumbling, the Shuppet only laughed at it's trainer's misery. Just so gullible, his beloved trainer was. Even though she could try so hard to be intimidating, she was still a big fluff ball on the inside. "Shup! Shup shuppet!" The ghost chimed, only to quiet down and fixate it's eyes on a single patch of moving grass. [break][break]
"Hm? What is it?" Irene asked, casually tilting her head backwards to the wary ghost type. It kept it's gaze locked in on the grass, preparing for a wild pokemon attack. Any hint of irritation soon dissolved, now only viewing this chance as an opportunity to snag more wild pokemon for her team. "Looks like there's something in it for me after all.."
[attr="class","textieno"] While the little duo had suspected something bigger or at least.. More impressive, all that came to show was this adorable, flower holding fairy type. Shuppet couldn't help but to stifle in his muffled laughter, eyeing the flabebe with it's intimidating blue eyes with that yellow outer ring. The poor thing was actually terrified of Shuppet's over leering presence, even contemplating whether or not she wanted to hide way back into the tall grass and pray that there would be another sorry pokemon to take her place. Unfortunately, Irene was more or less intent on catching this baby pokemon for herself. I mean, she had a blob of hair and a piece of flying clothe. Why don't we add a flower as well? [break][break]
"Shuppet, you can handle this right?" Bright blue eyes narrowed to the side, using the question in a way that it would have been a command rather than a request. Shuppet was used to this, and the only reason why the rocket recruit acted so coldly towards it was because they've known each other for so long. Granted, Shuppet was perverted, and caused enough problems to begin with. Irene eyed the fairy type, who was both frightened and enticed by the woman's softened gaze. For a moment, she thought.. And then stopped her Shuppet in it's tracks. "Hun, you're scaring it. Here, let Misdreavus show you how a ghost type does it." Favouritism, of course, she favoured Misdreavus more, because at least that ghost knew when to behave. "Make sure it doesn't run away~" [break][break]
With the chime that mimicked a bell, the petite ghost type popped right out of her pokeball. Misdreavus eyed the Flabebe, clearly intent on defeating such a cute little fairy type. Was it possibly out of jealousy? Who can say? Although, Irene knew for a fact that Misdreavus thought of herself as rather dashing or cute. Poor Flabebe had to be the victim of Misdreavus' passive-aggressive glare. "No, Misdreavus. Now isn't the time to get jealous of it's cuteness. What I want you to do is shoot it a mean look!" Ironic. But of course, she didn't want the cute little flower getting away now would she? With a clearly content cry from the ghost, Misdreavus shot the Flabebe a glare that it probably would never forget. While it would have loved to flee, something was preventing it. Perhaps it was fear? Intimidation? Who could say for sure? That's how pokemon mysteriously worked. The Flabebe, in an attempt to escape the battle, threw out a handful of colourful leaves that were all aiming right towards Misdreavus. They chased the ghost type, no matter where she flew off to. "Psybeam! Right at those leaves!" Irene called out again, however the beam failed to shatter all of the leaves. Eventually, they caught up to the poor ghost type. The slashes causing her to cringe in pain. [break][break]
"Ugh.. Confuse ray!" Irene huffed, prompting the ghost to pick herself back up and shoot a wandering little beam of yellow towards it's target. While the Flabebe was far too busy being frozen in fear, they were unable to evade the attack. In the end, they were hit by the ray and began pacing back and forth in confusion. Unfortunately, the little Flabebe threw it's flower upwards, releasing something lile a white light into the sky. Even then, however, it wouldn't be saving that Flabebe with what was coming up next. "Alright, finish off with Psychic!" Without hesitation, Misdreavus coated Flabebe in a soft, pink glowing light before slamming the poor thing face first into the ground. It snapped out of it's own confusion, that's for sure, but it already took a hefty amount of damage. Things were going smoothly, until she remembered that the annoying little fairy had used wish a bit ago. Had she given it a chance, then that wish will cause huge problems. Therefore.. She quickly pulled out a pokeball and threw it at the fairy before even giving it the chance to limb back up. [break][break]
Ding! [break][break]
The pokeball went, enveloping the Flabebe in a red ray of light. The capsule shook once, then twice, and then three times.. Click! Yup, it was caught. [break][break]
A content Irene waltzed on over to the pokeball, picking it up and shrinking it down to fit on her belt. "Good job, Misdreavus. I'll make sure to give you a treat later, okay?" She asked, cracking out the pokeball and returning the pokemon. From there, she continued down the path. What would she be finding next?
[attr="class","textieno"] Up next was a little ball of vines. The Tangela stared at her, and she stared right back at it. "Hrm.." She groaned, inspecting the grass type briefly before dismissing it completely. Did it look like she had the time to be wasting on a tangle of vines? I don't think so. While her eyes shifted over ahead, the grass type didn't seem to appreciate her rude attitude towards it. While many other pokemon would have gone their own way, the Tangela had one of it's vines extend outwards and slam right before her toes touched the ground. This little one was actually trying to get her attention.. Huh? But did she really have time to be messing around with it like this? Probably not. "Look. As strong as you are, you go look for another trainer to bother. I'm busy." Her voice held venom in the tone, scowling at the small grass type. Who would have thought that she'd be able to hold this type of expression? Granted, she was very annoyed right about now. Needed to get right back and grab Rock Smash for herself before she could find her way to Floraroma town. That, or she'd have to take the hella long way around. It already hurt her head knowing that it'd be a hell long walk. If she was going to pass through Oreburgh City anyways, then might as well pick up a rock smash while she had the time. [break][break]
Tangela didn't like that idea. [break][break]
They were still being persistent.. annoying little runt. This Tangela kept trying to get her attention, crying out it's name over and over as it was unable to say anything else. What did it sound like.. One of those annoying sales people? Yeah, seems about right. The little cries could have given her a migraine, and it almost made her want to throw out Shuppet just to send the little thing running. No hard feelings, she just wanted the Tangela to stop shouting. See, this is why she liked ghosts better. In an attempt to make the sassy ball of vines shut it, she threw out Shuppet's pokeball and lazily ran her finger over to the creature. "Send it running." No mercy what so ever. With a sly smirk on the ghost's lips, he spewed out three little orbs that circled around the Tangela. It's like they were taunting it, and the grass type was starting to regret catching this trainer's attention. Without giving it a chance to register the flames coming in, they badly burnt the highly vulnerable grass type. "Huh. All bark and no bite? Boring." The Shuppet couldn't agree more, as Irene tiredly yawned in distaste at the grass type. "Send it running with a shadow sneak." And in a near instant, Shuppet's shadow began expanding outwards behind the terrified Tangela. Poor thing didn't know who she was messing with the moment she decided to hop out of the grass. After a good attack that sent it to the ground, it was fearing this flying piece of cloth. Pathetic. "Shuppet, we're done with it. Come on, lets go." [break][break]
And so the duo pressed on, but not without Irene walking on over and picking the burned pokemon up. Honestly.. She wasn't just going to leave it there and let it suffer the flames in agony. "Here, I'll take you to a pokemon centre to rest up alright? I'm sorry for burning you." That's what she said, but she'd most likely deny any accusations of kindness directed towards her. "So endure the pain for now."
The Tangela was in her arms, quietly whimpering at it's misfortune. While she would use a full heal on the poor soul.. She didn't want to go wasting unnecessary materials. Besides. Even if the Tangela fainted, she could still bring it to the pokemon center without much of a problem. Asides from the fact that she could consider it as dead weight. Shuppet returned to it's pokeball, while the golden-haired girl continued down the path. All the way back to Jubilife anyways.
And that's when it hit her. She would have to walk through this dreaded grass. Last time, a damn weedle popped up and nearly caused her to fall over in fright. "Jeez.." She grumbled in distaste, swallowing the lump that formed in her throat as she carefully weaved smoothly through the terrain. Sadly, her trip wasn't as smooth as she gave it credit for. There was rustling in the nearby grass.. And then deep purple, feline ears popped up in an alerted manner. Out popped a feline dark type that she was far too familiar with, swaying it's scythe-pointed tail gracefully. Now.. This was a catch. An elegant, decieving dark type.. Certainly her cup of tea. "Mind if I put you down, sunshine?" Her icy blue eyes glanced down at the Tangela, who felt the intimidating vibe being radiated off the seemingly innocent girl. That sly expression was peircing, and it couldn't help but to freeze up and meekly comply. "See? You're learning some manners already!" A sarcastic coo.
If this Purrloin were anything like the earlier Flabebe, then this would be yet another easy catch. Unfortunatly, this feisty critter had other plans in store.
Her hand reached back to clasp on a pokeball, throwing it outwards to release the very same ghost type. Shuppet popped out, proud and strong as though to make a good impression. While Purrloin was stunned from the sudden engagement in battle, it's expression rapidly twisted into a crude smile. Pray that this trainer would put up a fight, because it needed some form of entertainment. Without very much of a warning, the Dark-type began sharpening it's adorably deadly claws, and then set off it's back foot at considerable speed.
"Cutting to the chase, huh? I like this one." Irene's smile only widened, raising her voice slightly to give orders. "Shuppet! Burn it with Will-o-Wisp!" Her eyes were fixated on Purrloin, and it had to hit with that distence! No doubt it would be coming in with a slash, so it had to be--
Oh crap.
So it wasn't coming in with slash. It wasn't even coming in with scratch! It's claw coated itself in a faint, dark force. Before Shuppet had a chance to register that it was coming right for it, Purrloin had already landed a pretty hefty hit on Shuppet with a Pursuit. "Shit!" She was way too confident, too arrogant. She completely dismissed the fact that this Purrloin might actually not be stupid! Luckily, one of the wisps had in fact hit the snarky cat. Burnt it good.
Purrloin was coming back in fast, and she couldn't afford to have Shuppet get even more hurt. That gleam in it's deceptively, entrancing eyes was challenging the both of them - nearly infuriating Shuppet. "Calm down, and Sucker Punch the little runt!" Oh, Shuppet gladly did so. Irene was impatient, and she didn't want to be hanging around here any longer than she should. It looked like the hit from Purrloin was going to land.. But Shuppet phased out and delivered a sharp blow to it's side. Sadly, the hit wasnt anything that the dark type couldn't handle. "Ugh.. Shuppet, you get back here!"
Her arm held out the pokeball, ready to recall. But before the ray hit Shuppet, Purrloin landed yet another Pursuit. This, having the power doubed, was enough to knock out Shuppet. Down for the count. Trying so hard not to swear. Oh, so hard. Dissatisfied, she threw out yet another pokeball right after recalling the fainted ghost. Out popped another ghost, who didn't look very pleased. "Sorry, Misdreavus. But you'll have to go up against this little.. Ahem. Skilled creature."
Then the Purrmion yawned. It actually yawned. What? Was she boring it? Why this little.. It actually purred! Sure, it was the cutest thing ever, but she was also unexplainably frustrated at how relaxed it was. "Hex!" She called out, and Misdreavus created a large purple eye that glared downwards. Said eye released waves of eerie blue, damaging the Purrloin heavily topped with it's burn. Though the typing itself wasn't effective.. The add on was pretty darn strong. Misdreavus nodded confidently, however she was hit with a pursuit that came as a result of the lack of attention and pride in it's own hit.
She wanted this Purrloin.
"Confuse ray!" From close range, Misdreavus released the trippy beam that resulted in that catch with Flabebe. Purrloin was hit, and caught in a trance. Completely unaware of it's surroundings. A weakened Misdreavus let out a sigh of relief, as so did Irene while she threw that pokeball. It hit the top of the head, enveloping the Purrloin in a red light. Yes, it was shaking rather violently, because the Purrloin was certainly unwilling to give in so easily. Yet the confusion and damage it sustained was doing it's job, until finally, the shaking stopped whilst followed by a soft 'click'.
A proud Irene pushed the air out of her lungs in the form of a sigh, prancing over to the pokeball and grasping it in her hands. "Didn't really have much of a say, did you?" She asked the capsule, gently poking the top before turning her back. That was enough for today.
