major news alert!
witness reports from all over the region has been flooding in about strange happenings at the three lakes. what's more perplexing is that these occurrences seem to be happening spontaneously at the lakes. just moments ago, a burst of light erupted at the locations and residents in the vicinity have reported that the lake-side pokemon have turned aggressive and attack on sight.
However, there have been rumours and sightings of the legendary lake trio which has had trainers flocking in from all over the region.
Orvis was pretty excited about his travels now. He had just obtained a new badge from Oreburgh and was now eager to see where his next steps would take him. His newly evolved pokemon Wormadam was at his side, hopping beside him as they walked along a scorched burnt path in the once blossoming town of Floaroma.
It was a shame really, Orvis had never seen what this place looked like before Team Galactic burned the whole place down. Demetria seemed to be quite upset by the whole place too, after all, it was only natural for a pokemon of her species to gather in these parts.
“Hey Demetria, you okay?”
Wormdam sighed, nodding before continuing forwards. Why did she seem a little off?

It was a strange feeling, like someone had just punched her in the gut the moment she saw what had happened to this place. Everything had been burned down, nothing but infertile soil and charred tree stumps.
She remembered the time well. Her Mum and Dad getting her away from the fire, fleeing in panic as flames chased them down like angry houndooms.
But she didn't want to dwell on that too much. Turning her head, she'd continue down the route.
There was a crash of thunder and a flash of lightning, and before Orvis knew it, torrential rain was pouring down from the sky in a matter of seconds.
“Woah! Where did this come from?!”
Orvis ran forwards, scooping up Demetria and took shelter underneath a tree. The wormadam shook her whole body, a few leaves and water droplets flying off her as she tried to get dry. Orvis started zipping up his jacket until he saw a peculiar pokemon come floating down in front of them.
“Caaast~”
“Huh? What kind of pokemon are you?"
“FORM!”
Without warning, water from the rain gathered in front of the castform, spiralling round him in great size before a powerful hydro pump blasted forwards. The attack smashed into the ground before slamming into Demetria and pushing her against the tree trunk.
“Woah! Quick Demetria, use giga drain!”
Orvis was looking forward to seeing this attack. He had recently seen a move tutor to help his Wormadam learn a new move (for the right price of course). The bug jumped upwards towards castform, a green light shining around the weather pokemon before energy was drained entirely by Demetria, healing her from the damage of the surprise attack.
“Now bug bite!”
Demetria used her long tendril to grab onto one of the tree branches, swinging herself forwards before impaling her long pointy mouth into Castform. However, the castform took this opportunity of close range to release a few embers upon Demetria, hurting her quite a bit.
“Use protect before the next embers hit you!”
Jumping down, Demetria formed a protective shield of blue light, causing the embers to bounce off. After that, Orvis tossed a pokeball forwards, hitting the castform rather brutally against the head…

She was quite surprised when she was scooped up and carried to a tree, though at least it saved her from getting any more soaked from the sudden downpour.
That being said, she didn't mind a nice refreshing wash every once in a while, it made her leaves shiny and glossy.
But while she was busy admiring her healthy coat, she didn't notice the powerful water attack that came flying towards her.
Serves her right from being a bit arrogant...
Castform used Rainy Day ! Castform used Hydro Pump ! It's not very effective... Demetria used giga drain ! It's super effective !! Demetria used bug bite ! Demetria was hit by ember ! It's super effective !! Demetria used protect !
Rain still pouring down, Orvis decided to make his way closer towards the old mill. Demetria swinging along from branch to branch, almost like an aipom would do. The two eventually made it and took cover underneath a small canopy that jutted out from the mill.
“Eh, I came here to see what pokemon I could find but… I hate the rain.”
“Wormaa~”
Sitting rather glumly on the drier ground, the two watched as puddles began to form and the earth became muddy. Orvis also caught eye of a spooky looking pokemon hovering past that looked rather low. Orvis would usually attack a wild pokemon that showed up but… Could he really initiate a fight with an already upset pokemon?
Demetria poked his arm, glancing back and forth between him and the ghost pokemon.
“Nah, not this one Demetria. Poor guy looks like the world just ended for him.”
Sunlight began to show, the showers had faded and the sounds of pokemon could be heard again. Demetria seemed happy from the passing of the heavy rain and jumped with glee, hopping forwards before bumping into something small and yellow?
“BEEE!”
A small combee jumped up, buzzing angrily after being walked into. Orvis laughed at Demetria’s reaction, who was now bowing down repeatedly to apologise. Unfortunately for her, Combee didn’t seem like the forgiving type. The combee used bug buzz, sending a blast of energy forwards which knocked Demetria backwards and onto Orvis.
Then, it started to whip up a small gust of wind and sent it directly towards them.
“Quick, use protect!”
The shield of blue light materialised from thin air, dispersing the attack and sending fallen leaves to fly up.
“Hidden power! Go!”
Demetria latched onto a tree branch, swinging herself around before barraging the wild pokemon with orbs of brown energy. Combee then sprayed a strange pink mist, creating a sweet scent in the air. Demetria seemed to love it and stopped swaying from side to side as she breathed it in. Unfortunately, this made her a much easier target. Diving forwards, the combee used bug bite and nipped at Demetria all over, causing her to fall off the tree and onto the ground.
“Crap! Quick Demetria, return.”
Red light enveloped the fainted pokemon, before another flash of red sent out Vulcan the heatmor. The anteater pokemon pounded his chest, fire flicking from his mouth like a tongue.
“Fury swipes!”
Vulcan’s claws were sharp and deadly, they spread out as he lunged forwards, clawing at the combee over and over and over again. It was seriously hurt, but Orvis didn’t want to let this pokemon get away too quickly. Carefully grabbing a pokeball from his bag, he’d throw it upwards and catch the honey gatherer.

Woohoo! Finally Vulcan cat get in on some action. His first time helping Orvis fight another wild pokemon and he would make sure to make it one heck of a show.
Already, he was showing off his strength, pounding his chest before showing off those sharp claws of his. With a quick spurt of flame from his mouth, he'd duck and dive forwards, slicing the combee a few times before jumping backwards so his trainer could catch it.
"Heat! Heatmor!"
Vulcan used fury swipes x3 !
