major news alert!
witness reports from all over the region has been flooding in about strange happenings at the three lakes. what's more perplexing is that these occurrences seem to be happening spontaneously at the lakes. just moments ago, a burst of light erupted at the locations and residents in the vicinity have reported that the lake-side pokemon have turned aggressive and attack on sight.
However, there have been rumours and sightings of the legendary lake trio which has had trainers flocking in from all over the region.
Orvis ran down Route 205 with his Scyther chasing behind him. Sickle was new addition to his team, given to him as a gift from a stranger he had met. Already he could tell that this pokemon was very well taught, Sickle followed every order and behaved very sensibly.
The two ran through the grass, chasing after a pokemon they had seen in the shadows. They weren’t sure what it was, but it was definitely a pokemon.
“Darn! Where did it go? I could’ve sworn it came down here.”
His scythe growled with annoyance, he hated letting something escape. But maybe they wouldn’t be so unlucky after all.
“Hey, I have an idea!”
Kneeling down and pulling his bag off his shoulders, Orvis would reach in and reveal the fire incense he had bought at a nearby pokemart. Pulling out a lighter, he’d set the incense ablaze and let the smell fill the air around them.
“It’s much easier if we let the pokemon come to us instead.”

Agh! He knew he saw a pokemon a moment ago. Sickle was lucky to be given to a trainer who wanted to make good use of him. He was definitely worried that he might be tossed to one side or something. Luckily, the two had been bonding over the past few days, camping in the wild with the rest of the team and now, hunting in the wild.
In a way, Sickle wanted to prove himself to Orvis, show him just how useful he is (even if the scyther did only have three moves), he was still a force to be reckoned with.
It troubled him actually, knowing that pokemon would come to him instead. Usually Orvis got the element of surprise when tracking pokemon, but now they could jump out at any moment…
“Numel!”
Embersshot out from a patch of grass, burning Sickle and hurting him quite a bit. Popping out from the greenery was a small fire type pokemon, a numel that seemed quite excited for some reason. He then took another deep breath in and used flame burst on Sickle, this was going to end quickly.
“Quick! Use night slash and vacuum wave!”
Scyther flew up high, his arm turning black like the night before slicing downwards onto Numel, followed by a blade of air which knocked him back. But the Numel was quick on his feet, jumping from side to side before tackling Sickle to the ground, using flame burst close range and scorching the ground around them.
“Shit.”
Grabbing Sickle’s pokeball, he’d return him quickly before the numel caused any more harm. The trainer then threw forwards a pokeball, releasing a pokemon that he knew would be useful.
“I need your help, Aella!”
The corsola appeared in a flash of red, her face already full of rage that never seemed to leave her.
“Bubble beam!”
Jets of azure bubbles slammed into Numel, making it cry out in pain as it was pushed back against a tree trunk. When the attack had ended, Orvis threw a pokeball at the wild pokemon, this was one he just had to try and catch.

Oh dear, oh dear. Looks like some pokemon just can't look after themselves. Aella on the other hand was different, she had experience and plenty of it too.
The moment she was out of that pokeball, she was ready to fight. Eyes locked, stance strong and bubbles at the ready.
Aella was already giving Orvis an angry look, ready to start fighting him if another wild pokemon didn’t show up sooner or later. But as if luck would have it, another fire type pokemon came slithering out from the grass.
A slugma, its body made of molten lava as it left a scorched path in its wake, it quickly used incinerate and released streams of hot flame at Corsola before it used smog to spray a poisonous gas at corsolla and poisoning her.
“Alright Aella, bubble beam! Use it twice!”
Aella took a deep breath in, her body radiating with energy before she released jets upon jets of water bubbles. The attack damaged Slugma greatly and before it could even think about fighting back, another jet hit it.
“Shit! Where’s the bloody pokeball?!”
Orvis rummaged around in his cluttered bag, trying to find an empty pokeball to throw.
“Damn thing! It was in here somewhe- Aha!”
Pulling out a pokeball, he’d lean forwards and hurl it at Slugma, catching it and a flash of red light.

No pokemon left to fight...
Aella turned around to face Orvis, her adrenaline rushing through her as she prepared to fight her trainer (which seemed to be a regualr thing between these two). She didn't do it out of spite, it was just entertaining for her.
But luckily for her trainer, another pokemon was lured by the incense, a little slugma ready to be pulverised by Aella. Such fun!
Aella was hit by incinerate ! It's not very effective... Aella was hit by smog ! Aella was poisoned ! Aella used bubble beam x2 ! It's super effective !! Aella is hurt by poison x2
As much as she tried to hide the pain, Aella was poisoned and it was gradually sapping away at her strength. Orvis sighed, it always seemed to be her that got a status condition, but he didn’t feel the need to cure it himself – Aella was more than capable of counteracting the damage.
“Okay Aella, use aqua ring and recover.”
Aella huffed, water spiralling around her before her cells repaired themselves. But then there was a strange growling sound, sort of like the roaring of an engine. Orvis looked around, trying to see where the noise was coming from. There was tall grass all around them, but the moment he locked eyes with the creature lurking in the shadows, an awe inspiring inferno attack came bellowing forth like a tsunami.
Orvis had to leap out the way, but the heat still hurt his leg greatly. Aella on the other hand was not so lucky, the fire enveloped her and swallowed her up like darkness, leaving everything around them burnt to a crisp. Luckily, Corsola could withstand fire attacks pretty easily, and the poison prevented her from being burned.
“Aella! Are you okay?!”
The battle hardy corsola nodded, her body filled with pure rage with the fact a pokemon attacked her out of the blue like this. Standing at the source of the burned down grass, a heatmor swayed back and forth, pumping its fists as it tried to get Aella all riled up.
It worked.
Aella didn’t even bother to listen to a command, she just let out a cute scream before using spike cannon and impaling the Heatmor multiple times. Then, she charged forwards with tackle, slamming into the fire type pokemon with great force.
But now she was in close range… Heatmor grabbed her by the branches on her back and using fury swipes followed by a strange ghostly lick.
“Now Aella! Bubble beam!”
Still in the clutches of the Heatmor, Aella would build up energy inside her mouth. The heatmor instantly regretted keeping Aella so close to him, his eyes widened as bubbles started to form before they jetted out and blasted him back.
“Aella, watch out!”
Orvis tossed a pokeball forwards, he was definitely getting this crazy fire starter for sure.

Yes, Aella was a bit pissed off with the fact her trainer didn't bother healing her from the poison. But she did understand the fact that her aqua ring would sort that out itself.
What shocked her the most was the fire that seemed to swallow her up whole, hurting her eyes as dust and heat kicked up around her.
What kind of insane pokemon would do that to her?!
Aella turned around, her face like thunder as she stared at the heatmor who seemed far too big for his own boots. Aella knew arrogance led to failure pretty fast. But she was going to make it end a lot quicker for this heatmor.
