witness reports from all over the region has been flooding in about strange happenings at the three lakes. what's more perplexing is that these occurrences seem to be happening spontaneously at the lakes. just moments ago, a burst of light erupted at the locations and residents in the vicinity have reported that the lake-side pokemon have turned aggressive and attack on sight.
However, there have been rumours and sightings of the legendary lake trio which has had trainers flocking in from all over the region.
He had just stopped at Sandgem Town, it was quite a pretty little town, with a beach and a pokecentre. With his new pokemon, which he named Tenne, after the latin word for darkness 'Tenebris', Orvis was feeling much more confident with his abilities already. It had been what, a couple of days? Already he was feeling what it was like to be a trainer, something new every single day.
It was quite early in the morning and the grass was covered in dew. A gentle breeze drifted through the grass, giving Orvis goosebumps. With both pokemon away in their pokeballs, he'd venture further down the route, making his way through tall grass and winding through trees...
Orvis was slightly concerned as to how his new Gastly would take to him. Are pokemon automatically nice to their trainers once caught? Or is it going to take some warming up? He realised it would probably take quite a lot for the two to like each other, Orvis didn't even want it in the first place.
There. He saw it clear as day in the distance. A small blitzle munching on the grass with a very relaxed posture. Orvis crouched down slightly behind some grass, trying not to draw attention to himself. Reaching inside his pocket, he'd grab and toss a pokeballs into the air, red light streaming out into the ground a few meters from blitzle.
Tenne the gastly was sent out, hopefully this guy wasn't going to be too pissed off with him.
“Okay Tenne, confuse Ray! Then dart left and hit it with dark pulse!”
The poor blitzle had no idea what was going on. One minute she's just standing there trying to have a nice snack and now she's being attack. Very disrespectful.
First came the two orbs of light, spiralling towards it before exploding with a loud bang. Sure it stunned the Pokemon, but it's going to take a lot more than that.
As the shadowy mass came rolling towards Blitzle, it would quickly dart out the way before charging towards Tenne. A flash of fire flickered across its body before igniting fully. It stampeded forwards, leaving a trail of smouldering grass in its wake, before diving in with her flame charge. This attack was rather surprising to Tenne and he was struck down with ease, rolling off into the distance.
Blitzle seemed to speed up all of a sudden, darting left and right. But before she could attack again, she tripped on her own feet and crashed into a tree from confusion.
“Now Tenne! Use hypnosis!”
This was the perfect opportunity to use this move. The blitzle was immobile and couldn't move, gastlys hypnotic eyes locked in with the electric Pokemon. In just a matter of seconds, it had fallen asleep.
“Time for nightmare!”
A barrage of black wisps fired towards Blitzle, smothering her body in shadow. But by bit, the nightmare would sap her health away for as long as she slept.
“Now use dark pulse, followed by payback!”
This was definitely going to hurt. An orb of darkness the size of a small shrub shot towards blitzle, the impact causing a small explosion before a purple flash of light struck the Pokemon as well.
The blitzle cried in pain, even while sleeping, or perhaps it was the nightmares that caused it to stir? Nethertheless, Tenne still had time to attack.
"Finish it with another dark pulse!"

At first, a red light, then everything became clear. He knew he had been caught, and he also knew he had been given a 'nickname'. He found it hilarious how this pathetic excuse of a trainer had to catch him in order to keep his pokemon safe. Tenne wasn't too fussed by it, most pokemon get caught by people and live good lives, so why shouldn't this guy treat him well?
Tenne rolled his eyes as his trainer instantly started shouting commands at him, sighing as if to say he already knew what to do - a habit most wild pokemon have at first.
First it was the confuse ray, then the dark pulse. But this Blitzle was no joke, a firey mass slammed into him, knocking him backwards through the leaves.
Tenne laughed menacingly as the blitzle tripped over, his eyes radiating with psychic energy as their eyes locked.
Bed time.
Tenne used confused ray ! Tenne used dark pulse ! Tenne was hit by flame charge ! Blitzle hurt itself in confusion ! Tenne used hypnosis ! Blitzle fell asleep Tenne used nightmare ! Blitzle is hurt by nightmare ! Tenne used dark pulse! Blitzle is hurt by nightmare ! Tenne used payback ! Blitzle is hurt by nightmare ! Tenne used dark pulse !
Water rushed in over the sand, making a pleasant sound as it washed back out into the ocean. Orvis loved it, the salty fragrance in the air and the occasional spray from large waves crashing into rocks. Tenne also seemed to be enjoying himself, bobbing around back and forth into the water as he mimicked the waves motions.
"Hey Tenne! Be careful okay?"
The Gastly just snickered at him, continuing to drift back and forth until all of a sudden...
'Whoosh'
A corsola had leapt straight out of the water and attempted to tackle Tenne, but only succeeded in diving through him and landing on the sand. This seemed like one battle ready pokemon, they hadn't even crossed into its territory.
"Cor! Corsola!"
A big grin grew across Orvis's face, Tenne glanced at his trainer with a smile. This was going to be a fun fight.
"Well then, being as you're so ready to fight, Corsola. We'll give it everything we've got!"
Orvis took a deep breath, calming himself before the heat of the battle. With a pointed a finger, he'd shout his first commands.
"Confuse ray! Then use mean look!"
Tenne released two orbs of light towards Corsola, both exploding in front of her face. Then, Gastly's eyes gleamed with a terrifying aura, lowering the Corsola's speed. Corsola shook her head from the confusion and began to glow a magical blue colour as a ring of water started circling it. She had created an aqua ring at the beginning of the battle, preparing for the worst. Clever.
Then, the corsola released a stream of bubbles with bubble beam. Each one slamming into Tenne like a barrage of bullets. Gastly winced at the pain and glanced at Orvis for the next command.
"Payback! Show her who's stronger!"
Tenne darted forwards, weaving in and out to throw the corsola off track, once he got close, he slammed into her and a barrage of shadowy orbs slammed into her.
"Dark pulse! Up close!"
This was definitely the Gastly's favourite moves. Tendrils of shadow started coiling around it like some kind of planetary orbit and then with some concentration, a huge orb of pain would be delivered straight towards Corsola, kicking up sand into Orvis's eyes.
"Agh! Bloody thing!"
But Corsola seemed to have other ideas, her body shimmered pink and she had used recover to heal the damage that had been dealt. Then with a very very angry look, she fired off a series of spikes towards Gastly, each one flying straight through him. Luckily for them, Spike Cannon had no effect either.
Orvis laughed, clearly angering the pokemon even further.
"AHAHAHAHA! Poor thing can't land a hit! Okay Gastly, let's counteract that aqua ring with your own moves! Use hypnosis then nightmare!"
First there was the strange multicoloured eyes, then the screaming wisps of shadow. Corsola lay in the sand as the nightmares slowly chipped away at her, while her aqua ring tried to keep it at a steady level.
"Now Tenne! Dark pulse!"
"Gaaast... LYYYY!"
Once again, another explosion of darkness and sand. Orvis reached down to his belt, grabbing hold of a pokeball between his two fingers. At last, a pokemon he wanted to catch.

Woohoo! This was so much fun! Gastly was floating back and forth back and forth. Once minute he was chasing the waves, then he was running away from them! Tenne laughed at his trainers concern for him, Gastly doesn't need people to keep an eye on him, he's perfectly safe.
'Whoosh!'
Gastly hated that feeling, when something goes straight through him. The only way he could describe it would be to compare it to the way humans get butterflies in their tummy. Bleugh!
Tenne looked straight towards the pokemon that attacked him, an angry looking corsola that seemed to just want to fight. Unfortunately for her, she was in for a shock.
Time to know what pay back feels like!
Tenne used confused ray ! Tenne used mean look ! Tenne was hit by bubble beam ! Tenne used payback ! Tenne used Dark Pulse ! Tenne used Hypnosis ! Tenne used Nightmare ! Tenne used dark pulse !
Orvis cheered as he held up the pokeball that contained the newly caught corsola. He had a feeling this little lady was going to be a great asset to his team, especially due to how violent she is.
"Well done Tenne, you rocked! Best you have a rest now though."
Pulling out the Gastly's pokeball, he'd click the button and returned him. Orvis then sent out Zephyr, the skarmory flying around in the air with a jolly expression.
"Timburr!"
Orvis swung his head round, a small pokemon holding a large chunk of wood was repeatedly punching a rock, cracking it with each punch. How odd, was it training perhaps? The timburr then glanced over towards the skarmory flying around in the air and furrowed his eyebrows. Slamming his foot into the ground, he knocked up a large rock before swinging the wood forwards like a bat, using rock throw on Zephyr.
Orvis was slightly too shocked to react, and Zephyr was hit by the rock, then another, then another.
"Woah, woah, woah! Quick Zephyr, metal sound and air cutter!"
The skarmory did as he said, inhaling and releasing a rippling wave of sound at TImburr, instantly followed by blades of air.The attack struck perfectly, seriously damaging the pokemon.
TImburr gritted his teeth, using bulk up to increase his attack and then launched towards Skarmory and used pound. But even that failed to do any substantial damage.
"Finish it with steel wing!"
With a quick motion of his wing, Zephyr struck Timburr back to the ground, knocking it out cold.

Ouch! Rocks flew into him and almost knocked him to the ground. But Zephyr was much stronger than that, a few stones wont stop him!
The metal bird weaved in and out, screeching and flapping his wings as he tried to make short work of this timburr.
Zephyr was hit by Rock Throw ! Zephyr used Metal Sound ! Zephyr used Air Cutter ! It's super effective !! Zephyr was hit by Pound ! It's not very effective... Zephyr used Steel Wing !
