major news alert!
witness reports from all over the region has been flooding in about strange happenings at the three lakes. what's more perplexing is that these occurrences seem to be happening spontaneously at the lakes. just moments ago, a burst of light erupted at the locations and residents in the vicinity have reported that the lake-side pokemon have turned aggressive and attack on sight.
However, there have been rumours and sightings of the legendary lake trio which has had trainers flocking in from all over the region.

[attr="class","dibody"]to find electric pokemon, one must migrate toward the gym leader who has the most of them. relaxed and high as a kite, nikki has half the mind to just take of Folkner and take his pokemon herself...
but that would be very bad publicity she didn't need. instead she finds herself with some smoking little yellow device, held in one hand as she navigates the small patches of wild area Sunnyshore provides inland.
there are none. with a frustrated huff she makes way toward the lighthouse. she was going to find these fucking rats if it was the last thing she did, even if she had to tear down the whole lighthouse to get to the them. luz and grey have already started recruiting ahead-- she finds herself in the basement of the structure, everything a blur. only yellow can catch her attention now.

"Luz, slam," she sends the pikachu away, the rat type charging up before running and body slamming the little squirrel pokemon into the metal walls of the lighthouse basement. nikki doesn't hesitate to throw a pokeball at the dizzy electric type as it tries to bring itself back to its feet.
she's almost concerned about how easy it was-- she can't afford incompetency on her team; her pokemon had already paid for their fuck-ups, and it showed in their strict behavior. she keeps the pokeball on her, but her confidence in the squirrel has yet to become justified.

[attr="class","dibody"]it's yellow, it's being captured. nikki herself jumps on the little big, cupping it in her hands as she skids on the floor, numb body oblivious to the burn of metal against her skin. the jolt the bug uses to defend itself doesn't phase her- she's felt it all before. the thing only tries to scamper when she reaches for a pokeball.
all it takes is a frown for luz to move into action, the pikachu SLAMing the little joltik against the wall to stun it, much like the pachirisu before it. another pokemon down, and nikki is forced to think of her strength.
she was nothing. her old team would have put her on the top of mount coronet already-- but there was no fixing death. she has to remind herself to try this new thing, to keep collecting.

[attr="class","dibody"]god damn, why was it so hard to find a fucking pikachu? instead she got... this lizard shit? she hates the way it looks, but memory serves correctly-- it can learn surf. that is valuable. she needs it, whether the hates the hyped up reptile or not. so both pikachu go at it, hitting it with combinations of slams and thunderbolts until the thing is weakened down to a catchable monster. a final pokeball is thrown before she's decide she's had enough of the lighthouse, this time leaving with three more on her team.
none of them are pikachu, and this makes her unhappy.
