Work needed to be done, and it needed to be done quickly. Keanu was told he needed to do a mission and have four badges before he could even hope to be 'somebody' in Team Rocket. Being treated like some sort of whelp wasn't his thing, but he respected them all-the-same. Keanu would follow the lead of those who were strong, and only them. He wasn't in Team Rocket for the 'second best'. It was the top of the food chain or bust for him. What got on his nerves though was that Keanu was being told to meet up with some recruit. They said she was autistic, or something. They didn't want to deal with her, so Keanu was stuck with her. They wanted the two of them to go on a mission to burn down the route coming out of Twinleaf town; to invoke fear upon the masses.
But Keanu felt like he was being underestimated. That they expected the two of them to fail. Keanu wasn't even going to risk it knowing she might fuck it up for him, but he waited here for her nonetheless. They'd have their introduction, and then they could get down to the real business—a battle to see if she was worth the trouble. |

She sauntered into Twinleaf, bandana over her face. She looked around for the kid matching the description and locked eyes with his figure. She kept her gaze low, unable to make eye contact, and approached him. She hummed softly under her breath, hands on her hips and Kitty at her feet as she stopped in front of him.
The purrloin curled around her legs and gazed at the guy petulantly, and meowed softly.
"Are you Keanu? I'm GG."

"Yes. That would be me." He didn't seem to excited to say it, and instead Keanu retrieved a poke ball concealed within the pocket of his black leather slacks. "But before we can work together, we must establish a pecking order." His grin began to grow wider and become a bit devilish. He tossed the poke ball down at his feet, allowing his Fennekin to stand before GG and her Purrloin with a snobby look to it's face. "How many pokemon do you have?" Obviously there was the one present, but he was curious as to what more she concealed on her person... |

She was bitter now, bitter at the prospect of losing. Kitty stepped forward and puffed out her chest, meowing slyly at the Fennekin and approaching her, rubbing her tail flirtily under the Fennekin's nose.
"Who goes first?"

"You'e right, it shouldn't." GG didn't seem very challenged, so when it came to her supposed Autism? Keanu wasn't really sure what to make of it. Either her symptoms were not very apparent, or the affliction was just waiting to reveal itself to him. Regardless her pokemon, Kitty, had playfully stroked under Fennekin's nose with it's tail. The Fennekin, having been with Keanu for awhile now, knew not to give into infatuation. It also knew how to communicate with him telepathically... So instead of letting GG and her Purrloin in on their plans, Keanu gave the order to attack by simply thinking to himself. A sudden use of the fire type attack will-o-wisp could be seen exiting the Fennekin's mouth, and what followed after was a wave of psychic energy...although the latter seemed to have little to no effect at all on the Purrloin. Keanu felt a bit idiotic for it, choosing now to remember that psychic type attacks were completely ineffective against dark type pokemon. It was the kind of mistake an amateur would make. It made him very angry. Fennekin used Will-O-Wisp (x1)!

Will-O-Wisp hit and GG released a gush of air, her shoulders falling. Her gaze was trained on Kitty, who took the burn in stride, and she huffed.
"Kitty....night slash and sucker punch."

Keanu clearly wasn't thinking this through very much. He expected the easy victory, and for the moment being it costed him. Fennekin was so close to the Purrloin already that it wasn't able to dodge, and after the two super effective attacks made she was too tuckered out to go on and collapse where she stood. "Not bad..." He tone was strained, obviously because Keanu wasn't happy with that display. He felt underestimated, but in reality it was he who underestimated GG and her Purrloin, Kitty. Once Fennekin was back inside her poke ball, Keanu released his only other pokemon; A Gastly. Hovering about, it seemed to quick to realize that this battle was important to Keanu. "Use Hypnosis and follow up with a Dark Pulse." The ghost pokemon swiftly made way for the Purrloin, a purple aura flaring around it's gaze before a black energy would race towards Kitty... Fennekin is hurt by Night Slash (Critical Hit)!
Fennekin is hurt by Sucker Punch!
Fennekin has fainted!
Gastly is sent out to do battle!
Gastly used Hypnosis!

She warned gently. Kitty nodded and managed to dodge the hypnosis, leaping to the side and turning so that she took the brunt of the Dark Pulse in the side. GG just nodded to Kitty, who used the same two attacks in quick succession, dodging and leaping around the Gastly to try and get the best angle at it.

Her pokemon really had the advantage, and it pissed Keanu off. He didn't come all the way to Sinnoh to be bested by some girl. He resented having to call back his Gastly once it had been knocked unconscious because of this girl's 'Kitty'. Keanu knew some pokemon had an easier time defeating those of a certain type, but this was a one-sided battle from the very start. He couldn't even knock out one little pokemon... "This was just a fluke." He was angry, but Keanu kept his cool. All he proved to be was an eager fool. The humility was good, though...he would try harder now. And thankfully nobody else had been around to see this. "But we can't burn this place down quite yet. My Fennekin needs to get to a pokemon center since you won." It didn't bode well with Keanu to admit it, but the man would get over it one way or another. "When do we come back? Tomorrow? ...Tonight?" Keanu preferred the latter. Just thinking about seeing a fire tonight seemed to settle him down. Regrettably it was up to GG to decide. Gastly is hurt by Night Slash!

She said sarcastically. Rolling her eyes she turned and wandered in the direction of the pokemon center, crooking her finger towards Keanu.
"Alright boy, let's go."
